Leonard Marshall will be joining us at D'Jais on Friday for our kickoff to Summer. A caller wants to drive Boomer & Gio around in a convertible Corvette. We took a call from an Islanders fan that lives in the city. As a kid, Rangers fans threw ‘dirt bombs' at his window. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and starts with a preview of Rangers/Panthers. Sandy Alderson was on the NY Post baseball podcast and talked about Billy Eppler. C-Lo has some audio of Spike Eskin vs the WIP callers. One called him a ‘vegan crackhead'. Aaron Rodgers met the media and was asked about the Robert Kennedy Jr. VP situation. The Moment of The Day involves Chris Russo having a hard time pronouncing an NHL player from Germany. In the final segment of the show, Matt Martin joins us to let us know if he is rooting for the Rangers and did he try to jinx Boomer with a bottle of wine.
Hour 1 The Rangers and Panthers game 1 is tonight and Boomer said it will be fast and furious. The Panthers are a bunch of agitators and throw a lot of pucks at the net. It's going to be a knock down drag out series. We asked Boomer if he's going to the Garden, but because of his early wakeup time, he's going to watch at home. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update. He starts with a preview of Rangers/Panthers game 1. Sean Avery is not happy that Matt Rempe is likely out of the lineup. The Yankees lost to the Mariners again and the Mets lost in Cleveland again. Aaron Rodgers met the media and will be focused on only football once the regular season begins. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer and Gio golfed again yesterday. Boomer then had dinner with his daughter Sydney and Matt Martin and Boomer thinks Matt is rooting for the Rangers. A caller asked about this new offense Rob Saleh is supposedly installing for the Jets. Hour 2 Gio said when CBS Sports Network wants us to talk about something, they run video of it during the breaks so we can see it. Today it's the sports Emmys, as CBS won a bunch of them. James Brown won an award as did Tracy Wolfson. We talked more about the wine bottle that Matt Martin gave Boomer. The bottle is a tribute to the Stanley Cup. C-Lo returns for an update, but first we talked about clams. We heard from Suzyn Waldman talking about the Mariners trident and she wondered if it was ‘bigger than the sausage'. C-Lo has a preview of Rangers/Panthers which gets underway tonight. Chris Russo is having a hard time with a hockey player's name. The Celtics took game 1 from the Pacers. In the final segment of the hour, competitive eater Kobayashi is retiring because of health concerns. We also talked about the Henry Winkler commercial we run here, about his father in laws' eyes. Hour 3 Guy Adami from CNBC called in and he didn't like that Boomer had the Stanley Cup in the studio yesterday. We took a bunch of calls from Rangers fans. Boomer said Gio should be rooting for the Rangers, because when the Rangers win, Boomer's happy. When Boomer's happy, Gio gets to golf at bougie courses. The golf course they went to yesterday had the best shower that Gio has ever experienced. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with a preview of Rangers/Panthers. Sean Avery wants Matt Rempe in the lineup because of his toughness. C-Lo has a long sound from BT that sounds strange. The Yankees lost again to the Mariners. Gio wants C-Lo to rank the Yankees play by play guys and others in play for that job. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Mets fans hating the Yankees and Jets fans hating the Giants and wondered why we hate the opposite NY team. Hour 4 Leonard Marshall will be joining us at D'Jais on Friday for our kickoff to Summer. A caller wants to drive Boomer & Gio around in a convertible Corvette. The Royals lock down Bobby Witt, Jr. for 11 years, and HOU says yes to Jose Altuve for another five. The arbitration scoreboard is currently tipped in the players' direction at the halfway point, including a record-setting win for Vladdy. We wish Corey Kluber all the best in his retirement, Patti with much happier memories than those of Pottymouth. This week we look at Toronto, where Pottymouth selects Kevin Kiermaier with a really we haven't picked him yet, and Patti highlights Davis Schnieder partly for getting to say “dirtbags” but mostly for the glove story. Happy birthday to ARI catcher and new Pottymouth pick Gabriel Moreno, and Patti's aiming for the clouds outfielder, Alek Thomas. We discuss the comedy/tragedy possibilities with the new Netflix series following the Red Sox. Our police blotter features no work for Billy Eppler this year for playing fast and loose with the IL, and teachers keep on poking at the public funding for the A's Vegas ballpark. Mayors of both Oakland and Las Vegas gang up on A's ownership. The Serie de Caribe set more attendance records, featured a no-hitter, lots of pod favorites on the field and in the stands, and a championship to Venezuela. We say “my flame has been extinguished,” my polar bear no longer has bloat,” and “taking lemons and making limoncello.” Fight the man, send your game balls to Meredith, get boosted, and find us on Twitter @ncibpodcast, on Facebook @nocryinginbball, Instagram @nocryinginbball and on the Interweb at nocryinginbball.com. Say goodnight, Pottymouth.
Jose Altuve signed a 5-year extension with the Astros which will presumably keep him in Houston for the rest of his playing career. We talk about how this might influence Alex Bregman's decision in his upcoming free agency campaign. Kershaw is returning to the Dodgers and we're talking about what we can realistically expect from him production-wise moving forward. We also have Billy Eppler's suspension and how this may change “phantom IL” rules, Josh Hader's comments on why he wouldn't go more than three outs with the Padres, and our Mt. Rushmore of Pitchers! MLB came down with a ruling Friday on Billy Eppler's improper use of the injured reserved list. After the call of the day news hits about Billy Eppler.
The New York Jets are stuck in the middle of a Woody and a hard place. Woody Johnson has spoken out about what went wrong last season. Does Woody need to stay out of it? The Super Bowl is around the corner, WHO CARES! The New York Jets fans never have it easy, but when the owner opens up about issues the team has it makes things much much worse. Sal says slow down on the Knicks winning a championship in 2024. They are good, but we need to lower our expectations.

The Los Angeles Angels recently let pitching prospect Chris Rodriguez be claimed off waivers by the Arizona Diamondbacks, ending what was a promising start to a young Angels career held back by injury. The Super Halo Bros. discuss the departure and how it opens up into a greater conversation; when it comes to draft picks, was Billy Eppler more successful, or has Perry Minasian taken over as the better GM in terms of drafting? Offseason drama waits for no one, as Connor Rogers and Joe DeMayo are back with an all-new episode of The Mets Pod presented by Tri-State Cadillac, with the guys discussing the shocking resignation of GM Billy Eppler and what's next for the organization under new president of baseball operations David Stearns. Connor and Joe go deep on the MLB investigation into Eppler, the possible use of the “phantom injured list,” what other fallout may come, and possible penalties that may result. Then they look ahead to the next steps for Stearns, including the search for a new manager, filling out the front office, building a stable organization moving forward, and moves to make the Mets better for 2024. Later, the guys talk about the type of manager needed for the current team, and the news that Pete Alonso hired Scott Boras as his new agent heading into his final season before free agency. The show then wraps by unwrapping the Mailbag with questions about offseason additions, Juan Soto trade scenarios, and the MLB postseason format. Gio also said Mets fans who think the Steve Cohen era has been great are kidding themselves. This will be the third manager and fourth GM since Cohen bought the team. Not to mention his Max Scherzer/Justin Verlander debacle. Gio is getting a feeling that ‘Mr Dweeb' is going to come in here and trade Pete Alonso. Are the Mets going to actually try to win next year? Jerry is here for his first update but first we talked more about the dysfunctional Mets and the Eppler situation. The Bears beat the Commanders 40-20 and Jerry had a few of the Justin Fields TDs. DJ Moore had a huge night for the Bears. Dick Butkus passed away at age 80. Wink Martindale is losing sleep thinking of defending the Dolphins. We also talked about Jerry getting up in the middle of the night to pee. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer is pissed that everything in the refrigerator is actually frozen, especially his almond milk.

We also talked about Jerry getting up in the middle of the night to pee. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer is pissed that everything in the refrigerator is actually frozen, especially his almond milk. Hour 2 Taylor Swift's people had the NFL run trailers for her movie for free because of all the publicity she's bringing to the NFL. What will be the big story on Monday morning? We've been wrong before, so what will be the surprise this time? What will be the story in the Giants/Dolphins game and the Jets/Broncos game? The Dolphins are favored by 11 ½ over the Giants. Gio said the Adoree Jackson calls into BT & Sal have been so awkward because BT just insults him. Jerry is here for another update and starts with the Bears beating the Commanders 40-20. Former Bear Dick Butkus passed away at the age of 80. A caller thinks Jerry is being pushed out of the Man Bucket product. In the final segment of the hour, Gio brought up a few ‘fishy' lines in the NFL this week. Hour 3 The Jets are in Denver this week and Boomer thinks it's a winnable spot for the Jets. Gio doesn't think the Broncos are any good and thinks Russell Wilson is past his prime. The best unit in that game is the Jets defense and getting turnovers would be huge to get the Jets a win. A caller can't believe Julius Randle is wearing Skechers sneakers this season. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Bears beating the Commanders for the first win in 14 games. Jerry has audio from ‘bad Tiki'. The Giants special teams have been brutal. Wink Martindale talked about the speed of the Dolphins. Jerry Jones had a near death experience as a young man. Travis Kelce's mom was on a podcast and said the ‘NFL is laughing all the way to the bank'. In the final segment of the hour, the best game of the weekend is the Cowboys in San Francisco. Boomer thinks Dak Prescott is a top 10 quarterback and a very solid player. This game will have 2 great defenses and 2 great offenses. Boomer sees a 24-20 game. Hour 4 We wondered if Patrick Mahomes dad likes Jackson Mahomes the same amount as Patrick. A caller thinks the Chiefs have become as unlikeable as the Patriots were. Pretty soon fans will be turning on Patrick Mahomes like they did to Tom Brady. Jerry returns for his final update and starts with Boomer getting hammered by the Steelers in 1987. Dick Butkus passed away at the age of 80. He played when football was football. The Bears beat the Commanders 40-20 including 4 TDs for Justin Fields. Nathaniel Hackett talked about going back to Denver. He said he has not heard from Sean Payton after his comments about him. Breece Hall has a new cereal and Quinnen Williams loves it. Wink Martindale has been having a hard time sleeping knowing he's going up against the Dolphins this week. Moment of The Day involves Boomer's frozen almond milk. In the final segment of the week, our NFL picks with Boomer, Gio & Jerry.

The Mets are looking like a disaster right now. The Manager was fired and there are rumors of Pete Alonso going to the Cubs. And now we hear that Billy Eppler is the one who forced Buck Showalter to play Daniel Vogelbach. And Pete Alonso just hired Scott Boras to represent him. Is Daniel Stearns going to be our "little nerd to bring us to the promised land?"

And now we hear that Billy Eppler is the one who forced Buck Showalter to play Daniel Vogelbach. And Pete Alonso just hired Scott Boras to represent him. Is Daniel Stearns going to be our ‘little nerd to bring us to the promised land?' Gio would love Gabe Kapler to be the Mets manager. We also talked about Evan Neal going after the Giants fans. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Mike McDaniel talking about the Giants allowing 11 sacks last week. Marshawn Lynch was on the Shannon Sharpe podcast and talked about the Pete Carroll/Russell Wilson relationship. He also talked about not having any sort of relationship with Russell. He also said Carroll told the team not to talk directly to Russell. We then talked about Imus having a loaded gun on him at all times. Chris Carlin got beat down by Imus and Mike and the Maddog. In the final segment of the hour, Gerrit Cole said he and Aaron Judge will have input on the Yankees going forward.
Hour 1 NY Giants' Evan Neal had to apologize for going after the fans who were booing him. Gio found it interesting that every talk show host out there attacked Neal for his comments, meanwhile hosts attack players all the time. And Evan Neal is only 23 years old. He hasn't been here for all of the terrible head coaches the Giants have had. The fans get right in the face of these players as they are coming off the field. Gio thinks it is insane how we are treating Evan Neal after his comments. Some have called him a ‘human piece of garbage'. They are acting like he physically assaulted a Giants fan. Jerry returns for an update but first Boomer tells us today is Travis Kelce's 34th birthday. We talked about how overblown the Brian Daboll tablet stuff has become. Rob Saleh is long past the Sean Peyton comments on Nathaniel Hackett. Joe Burrow talked about the importance of getting a road win on Sunday. Jerry went around the MLB from yesterday. In the final segment of the hour, we continued to talk about NFL power couples and Eddie keeps playing Francesa drops. Hour 2 Gio could have sworn he heard Cam Newton talking about having a small hammer. He was correct. We played the clip. The Jets have got to win this game. The Denver defense is not great and Russell Wilson is not a QB in his prime. Gio thinks if Zach Wilson plays 70% as good as last week they can win. Boomer said he cannot turn the ball over. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Brian Daboll talking about playing against Tua this weekend in Miami. Mike McDaniel is concerned with Dexter Lawrence on the Giants. Rob Saleh wants consistency in officiating. The Kelce brothers talked about the NFL coverage of Taylor Swift. Travis said the NFL is overdoing it. Stephen A. Smith was reviewing the women on The Golden Bachelor. Jerry went around the MLB playoffs from yesterday. Craig Counsell is now available for the Mets if they want him. Boomer said the Rangers cannot keep up with the Devils. Their speed is much faster than the Rangers. In the final segment of the hour, Peter Schwartz was let go from his part time job at Fox News Headlines on the radio. The last time he was with us he said, ‘stop with the lies, this isn't Fox News'. Hour 3 The Mets are looking like a disaster right now. The Manager was fired and there are rumors of Pete Alonso going to the Cubs. In the final segment of the hour, Gerrit Cole said he and Aaron Judge will have input on the Yankees going forward. Hour 4 It seems like there are a lot more violent fights going on in the stands at NFL games these days. Will the NFL remain silent on this? Why are the security guards always old people that can't physically break up fights? Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about the Utah football team getting trucks. That led to college players getting paid talk. Joe Burrow talked about the importance of getting a win on the road against the Cardinals this week. The Phillies beat the Marlins and the ballpark was pumped up after the grand slam. The Moment of The Day involves taking a flight to Pound Town USA. In the final segment of the show a caller says Boomer is too soft these days. Aly our makeup artist got a flat tire and it took 5 hours to get help.
Connor Rogers and Joe DeMayo are looking at a new era for the New York Mets on an all-new episode of The Mets Pod presented by Tri-State Cadillac, as the guys react to the departure of Buck Showalter and the arrival of David Stearns. Connor and Joe discuss the reasons why the organization moved on from Buck as manager, and go through the potential candidates for the next dugout boss in Queens. Then they break down all the quotes that came out of the news conference officially introducing David Stearns as the new Mets president of baseball operations, and examine next steps for Stearns as he begins to put his stamp on the team and starts to set a path for the entire organization moving forward. Later, the show breaks open the Mailbag to answer questions about the future of the Mets' lineup and if it's too early to start trading prospects for big league pieces. Finally the show ends with the end of The Scoreboard, as a champion is crowned after Connor and Joe's season-long gambling game reaches the victory line for one of them!
