In this episode of the Going Dutch podcast, host Randa Stratton-Dutcher interviews Jeff Vukobratovich, a former gym owner turned real estate entrepreneur. Jeff reflects on his journey from building a fitness community through his gyms to transitioning into real estate after feeling burnt out. He emphasizes the importance of balancing personal development, family, and professional aspirations. Jeff shares insights about the value of resilience, cultivating meaningful relationships, and staying committed to routines that support physical and mental well-being. He also discusses his ongoing mission to inspire others through a forthcoming life coaching program, encouraging authenticity and incremental growth in overcoming challenges. Jeff Vukobratovich is a 39-year-old Arizona native born and raised in Gilbert and currently residing in Queen Creek. I'm happily married to my incredible wife, Jessica, and am the proud father of two daughters, aged 4 and 8. For over a decade, I've been deeply involved in the fitness industry, owning two gyms from 2010 to 2022. My passion for fitness coaching eventually intersected with the world of real estate in 2020. In April 2022, I made the strategic decision to sell my gyms and pivot entirely to real estate. Today, along with my two partners, I am on a mission to revolutionize the real estate market. But my interests don't stop there; I am also devoted to personal development, life hacking, and helping others unlock their full potential. Along with balancing my career ambitions, I place a high emphasis on family, aiming to raise two strong, educated women and build the healthiest marriage possible. I'm also in the early stages of developing a life coaching program, with more details to come at the beginning of next year. Our church gathers every Sunday at 9:15a & 11a at Queen Creek Junior High. 20435 South Old Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek, AZ https://passioncreek.church/sundays/ OVERVIEW: In Acts 20, Paul models what a church pastor should be by speaking directly to the elders in Ephesus. He tells them how he's pastored, inviting them to follow his example in humility, service, vulnerability, and courage. He also warns them that, should they neglect their calling, the people they shepherd will be vulnerable to wolves. For us today, being a part of a church means submitting ourselves to the guiding and guarding of the spiritual authority placed over us. It also means we are on guard against Satan and his schemes as he threatens to sabotage the church with deceit and manipulation. By maintaining a posture of humility and by fixing our gaze on Jesus, we can become fruitful people who resist the schemes of the Enemy and bring the goodness of the gospel to the world around us.

In a shocking development surrounding the tragic death of 16-year-old Preston Lord at a Halloween party last year, new revelations have emerged of an alleged attempt by the family of one of the accused attackers to conceal him from authorities. Seventeen-year-old Talan Renner, one of seven suspects facing charges in connection with Lord's death, was allegedly hidden away at his family's cabin in Show Low, Arizona, by his father, Travis Renner, in the days following the fatal incident. According to reports, Talan Renner, along with the other six accused, faces first-degree murder and kidnapping charges. The suspects have all pleaded not guilty and are being held on $1 million bond. The tragedy unfolded on October 28, 2023, during a Halloween party in Queen Creek, which attracted over 100 teenagers and prompted multiple 911 calls from concerned neighbors. It was during this event that Lord was fatally beaten, dying in the hospital two days later. Police have charged the suspects, alleging they were involved in a violent altercation that resulted in Lord's death. A witness told police that when Lord was “on the ground, the group of kids began recording and ‘humping' the individual” while he laid their dying “before they all ran away.” His father's ex-girlfriend disclosed the alleged attempt to hide Talan Renner. She shared with authorities that Talan Renner was moved to the remote cabin to allow time for his hands to heal, reportedly after being involved in the altercation that led to Lord's death. Ashley Reynolds, a former employee at Relentless Media Agency, where she worked under Talan's father, Travis Renner, has come forward alleging her involvement in a cover-up following the tragic incident involving Preston's critical injuries. Reynolds stated to the Arizona Republic that Renner and Adam Kifer, CEO of Relentless Media Agency, openly discussed plans to conceal evidence and shift blame onto another individual with a similar name. According to Reynolds, Renner and Kifer allegedly orchestrated a plan to take Talan to a remote cabin until the injuries he sustained during the altercation healed. Detectives noted the Renner family's financial capability to assist in fleeing to Mexico, prompting Talan's removal from the Phoenix area following the attack on Preston. To further conceal Talan's involvement, Reynolds claimed she was instructed to falsify electronic calendar entries to create the appearance that Talan was out of town on the day of the Halloween party. Additionally, she stated that Renner and Kifer devised a plan for Renner to distance himself from the company to mitigate potential legal ramifications. Despite the severity of the accusations against Talan Renner, he reportedly participated in extracurricular activities. In a disturbing revelation, it was disclosed that Renner's football coach at American Leadership Academy, Gilbert North, allowed him to play in a game even after he became a person of interest in Lord's murder. Concerns were raised, prompting the termination of the coach. The additional six suspects charged in connection with Lord's death have been identified as Talyn Vigil, William Owen Hines, Dominic Turner, Taylor Sherman, Treston Billey, and Jacob Meisner. All seven suspects have maintained their innocence. The case continues to unfold, with all seven suspects scheduled to appear in court on April 30. All are charged as adults. Gilbert Arizona is a highly sought-after suburb of Phoenix where parents can find nice homes in safe surroundings. But that visage of safety was shattered when a teenager, Preston Lord, at a 2023 Halloween party was murdered by a mob of Gilbert and neighboring Queen Creek teens who call themselves the Gilbert Goons. As social media pages started lighting up with videos of the event, along with other disturbing pictures of random Fight Club-style beatings, drugs and weapons appeared, parents began demanding police take action. One of many issues in the community is the time that has passed since many of the crimes by the Goons have taken place. Has law enforcement and schools done enough to weed out the criminals? In today's episode of the Modern Divorce Podcast, host Billie Tarascio steps into the world of a criminal defense attorney, Ryan McPhie of the Grand Canyon Law Group, who shares a deep dive into what teens and parents who are protecting them could be facing when it comes to the charges that are still to come. Will they be facing jail time, fine or more?As of this recording, the first assault charges were announced as of January 10, 2024 against a few of the Goons, but the community is still clamoring for more, and still asking when will someone be arrested for the murder of Preston Lord?
Exactly two months after 16-year-old Preston Lord was beaten to death at a Halloween party in Queen Creek, Arizona, police announced they are recommending charges against seven juveniles and adults involved in his death. It is now up to the Maricopa County Attorney to decide who and what to prosecute. This comes as other investigations into teen violence in the East Valley have been reopened with possible ties to a gang police have recognized as the "Gilbert Goons." Host Briana Whitney and Arizona Family reporters Morgan Loew, Emma Lockhart, and Casey Torres discuss what is likely to happen next, the possible evidence in the case, and historical parallels to prior gang violence in the East Valley.
