Joining Chris and Leigh-Ann via Zencastr all the way from Ghana, Africa, is Kavaneet Dhami, UPenn alumnus and founder of KDHI Agriculture, an agrotech company working with West African farmers to collect data, teach new techniques and make data-driven decisions to improve yields. As Kavaneet points out, much of the projected population growth over the next 50 years will occur in sub-Saharan Africa. This combined with the fact that approximately 50% of the world's unused, arable land is in Africa - vastly improving yield will be a necessity to feed the next generation.
