In this episode of La Verdad Duele Podcast, I talked about lessons that I've learned from my upbringing that my father taught me about forgiveness. I also shared a well known story in Islam about the man who killed 100 people, but died on his way to repenting to God. However, it was reported that the man will be forgiven in the day of judgement for his righteous intentions of wanting to repent to God for his actions. The takeaway from this episode is that if God can forgive us, who are we not to forgive each other! In this episode of La Verdad Duele Podcast, I recorded a brief 5 keys to being insane during covid-19. Here are the keys. Limit the amount of information you consume: Cut out noise, your psyche needs a couple of hours to rest. No news past 8:00 PM or two hours before your bedtime. Routine – stick to a regular routine even at home: Its dangerous working at home because people tend to not schedule breaks. So do this, please schedule a break every 2 hours. ) at least 10 minutes away from your work:. Breaks make you be productive and efficient at work. Routine is part of self-care. Set goals for the day – written goals are better goals (eg. Goals for graduate school etc). Part of key 3 is being accountable for Serotonin, oxytocin, and dopamine. Serotonin is produced by exercise (your brain). Even 10 minutes makes a difference. Stretches, yoga, walks etc. Oxytocin is love drug. This is produced by being intimate with someone (eg. Hugging, kissing, squeezing, or being intimate). Dopamine is burst of euphoria by laughing and being grateful to people. Anxiety: people become stressed or anxiety is caused by what ifs, would have, could have, should have. This triggers the amygdala by sweating, and going into fight or flight mode with fear, worrying etc. How do you turn off the amygdala? By breathing exercises. Also listening to Bilateral Sound therapy. Making choices: Make choices today become a better person tomorrow.
