Redemption Inc. depicts compelling true accounts of broken people, both men and women, facing overwhelming circumstances who ultimately found freedom, overcame obstacles, then regained their lives and self-respect through second chances. The book chronicles persons from many different backgrounds who had a common experience: they had failed in some way or were facing a life controlling problem. They needed help overcoming that problem, and God used an agency or coach or some level of support to help them turn their lives around.

"My mom had plans to retire first. She was experiencing severe burnout in her role as the Director of Hospice Care at a nearby facility. She had a heart for helping others, but the daily wear and tear of agency bureaucracy and changing regulations was becoming a challenge. She was ecstatic when both myself and her original advisor gave her the all-clear. Like many of my clients, she was just excited to take that next step in her life. Quickly after my mom retired, my family and I started to see a change in her. Anxiety and depression took root quickly, and she was plagued with a constant feeling that she no longer served a purpose. Soon after, she started obsessing over their money and spending. Despite frequent reassurances from my dad, myself, and my sister, nothing could convince her otherwise that retirement was anything but a road to financial and emotional ruin. In 2011, six months after retiring, she took her own life. As a son, I was devastated. She had been the light of my life, and of the lives of so many. She was immensely missed, and her absence has been a constant reminder of everything that might have been had things gone differently. As an advisor, my entire world was upside down. One of my personal strengths is planning and focusing on the analytical side of finance. I'm investment-focused, and I had always thrived in my role as a technical financial specialist on our team. Now, however, it became clear to me that financial planning was much more than numbers in a software program. I knew I needed to change my approach. Now, I approach financial advice in a different way. I firmly believe that our clients aren't served when we only look at the numbers. Our whole team focuses on a holistic approach when working with our pre-retiree and retiree clients because we've seen firsthand the effects of not having a plan to live a goals and values-based life beyond your career. If finances are the only thing we consider, we overlook the wellbeing of our clients and the long-term satisfaction they'll receive from having a financial plan in place. My wife, Keri, and I have two daughters, Eliana and Kya, and one son, Everett. My family means the world to me, and I love the life we've built together. When I'm not spending time with them or working, I'm involved in my church's music ministry. I also enjoy competing in Triathlons and have completed many Olympic and Sprint distance races. I love watching sports and movies, reading books on leadership and personal development, and focusing on staying up to date with the world of investing and financial planning through podcasts.'
Mark M. Bello is an award-winning American novelist, attorney, and lawsuit finance expert. He is best known for writing the Zachary Blake Betrayal book series. Bello is a native of Michigan. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, United States. He earned his bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Oakland and then attended the Thomas M Cooley Law School for obtaining a law degree. Soon after his graduation, Bello started working as an attorney. Throughout his career in the law department, he was involved in working on a number of high profile cases. Later, he thought of providing a glimpse of all the things a victim has to go through when he decides to stand up for justice. This thought gave way to Bello's widely successful Zachary Blake novels. Bello's stories are considered as ripped from newspaper headlines inspired by his legal experiences and his concern for the current sociopolitical situation of the world. All the three Zachary Blake stories consist of a creative style of writing and show the characters as trying to tackle the themes of racial prejudice, government influence, religious freedom, ethnic prejudice, law enforcement, and human rights. Author Bello is married. He has 4 grown up children and 8 grandchildren. Other than writing novels, Bello writes blogs/articles related to the topics of safety, fair proceedings of the legal system, justice, etc.

I have reinvented myself frequently over my professional career. After I graduated from college at The Citadel (where I played NCAA Division I basketball), I was employed in the Marketing Department at the corporate headquarters of Wendy's International in Dublin, Ohio. From there, I worked in hospital administration for Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. After getting married and moving to California, I became the Customer Service Manager for an academic publishing company in Santa Barbara. When our daughter was born and we moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, I became a police officer with the Cincinnati Police Department, where I was a SWAT Hostage Negotiator. In 2004, I obtained my Masters degree from Boston University. Following a family relocation to Texas, I started a school security consulting business and coached high school girls basketball. Each time I took on a new job, I had to develop new skills and faced different challenges. There was always a significant learning curve with every new position. But my greatest challenge began in 2012 when I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Acral Lentiginous Melanoma, which presented on the bottom of my foot. By the time the cancer was detected, it had metastasized to a lymph node in my groin. Because my disease is extremely rare I was treated at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center. I had two surgeries to remove the tumors, and after I healed, I was put on a weekly injection of the drug, Interferon, to help keep the disease from returning. I realize pain and discomfort can beat you to your knees and keep you there if you let it. But I also came to appreciate that I could use my hurting and anguish to harden my mind and make me more resolute. I was no better at dealing with pain and discomfort than the next person. But every day, I found a way to survive, with the knowledge that I would need to do it again the following morning. I wrote my book, Sustainable Excellence, Ten Principles to Leading Your Uncommon and Extraordinary Life to help people find and live their uncommon and extraordinary purpose. The ten principles outlined in the book will provide the bedrock necessary to form the foundation of unshakable beliefs and dedicated behaviors to reinforce your attitude, no matter how much pain you must endure or how many obstacles you must overcome. Sustainable Excellence is available on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GLGVTVS), Barnes & Noble.com, (https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/sustainable-excellence-terry-tucker/1137534840), or anywhere you can get a book online. Unfortunately, my cancer experience hasn't ended with me conquering my disease. The melanoma that had plagued me for over five years returned in 2017, and my only treatment option was the amputation of my left foot in 2018. The cancer reemerged again in 2019, requiring multiple operations. In February 2020, an undiagnosed tumor fractured my tibia. My only remedy, in the middle of the COVID pandemic, was an above the knee amputation of my left leg. I also learned I have tumors in both of my lungs. But I refused to be a victim of this malignancy. I vowed to continue my fight. I knew the only way cancer could win is if I gave up or gave in to the disease, or it killed me. In addition to my faith, I use my 4 Truths to guide the decisions I make in my life. These 4 Truths are: 1. Control your mind, or it will control you. 2. Embrace the pain and discomfort we all experience in life and use it to make you a stronger and more determined individual. 3. What you leave behind is what you weave in the hearts of other people. 4. As long as you don't quit - you can never be defeated http://www.motivationalcheck.com

Rachel Bruno is a wife and mother of two young boys. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication and an MBA from Pepperdine University. She had hopes of starting her own business, and everything seemed to be going according to plan, until the unimaginable happened in 2015. Rachel had her 7 week old baby and toddler son seized by CPS when her newborn sustained critical cranial injuries while in the care of a nanny. She was evicted from her own home and had to endure a grueling court case to prove her innocence, so her children could be returned to her. Then she pursued suing the authorities who erroneously accused her and put her children through a battery of traumatic tests without parental consent. She won her case in court and was awarded 7 figures in damages. Rachel never knew that in the United States of America, parents and children were being denied their constitutionally protected rights under the guise of “what's in the best interest of the child.” It has become her mission to educate, and to ensure this doesn't happen to any more families. Her hope is that the laws tied to financial incentives be de-funded. This experience made Rachel reconsider her priorities. Today, she is a stay-at-home mom, who works part-time leading a group of young mothers called MOMs INC at her church. She is an advocate for parental rights, and is on a mission to educate and edify others who may be going through difficult times through her testimony of God's goodness. Her new book about her experience “Fractured Hope: A Mother's Fight for Justice” is out now. www.rachelbruno.com

After gaining and losing 50 to 75 pounds every two years or so since my teens, I decided I needed professional help. In 2005, at the age of 38, I started working with a therapist that specialized in eating disorders, trauma and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR therapy uses bilateral stimulation which activates the opposite sides of the brain, releasing emotional experiences that are "trapped" in the nervous system. While I went to the therapist to get a handle on my weight, she thought my issues with food and weight were merely a symptom of a much deeper issue: my childhood sexual abuse. I was sexually abused by family members. I don't know when it began but it continued until I was 10. For much of my life I would have chosen death before revealing that, so deep was my shame. But I was desperate to find love and believed resolving my weight was key. So began the next 12 years of my life working with my therapist using EMDR, a chiropractor to release trapped fight or flight responses, a sex therapist and group therapy for sexual abuse. I accomplished what I desperately hoped was possible but feared was not. I made it to the other side. Getting there required tremendous effort, the suspension of doubt, and a steadfast belief that it was possible. I'm rooting for you. http://www.pattycabot.com
