(Laramie, WY) - Monday was Media Day at the University of Wyoming as various members of the region's radio, tv, print and digital outlets chatted with athletes and coaches. It's not often that the wide receiver coach gets a lot of attention at the event, but 2025 was different with the return of an all-time Cowboy great, Jovon Bouknight. Jovon played for the Cowboys from 2002-2005 and racked up over 3,600 receiving yards, placing him as the third best UW receiver in the category (behind only Marcus Harris and Ryan Yarborough.) After graduating, the Denver native began the shift from receiver to mentor. He's spent time coaching at Marshall, Kentucky, Oregon, Texas Tech and Utah State before returning to Laramie. “It is a full circle moment as it all started here at the University of Wyoming,” Bouknight told reporters when he first returned. “It is great to be back in the saddle with familiar faces with our student-athletes and coaches that have so much love and passion for this program. I'm ready to hit the ground running and go back to the foundation and fundamentals.” Coach Bouknight told County 10 at Media Day about some of his favorite memories as a UW athlete, "obviously the Vegas Bowl (2004) sticks out. I was only fortunate to win one Border War, so I think about that one from my sophomore year." Jovon said it's helpful to remember his playing days to instruct this 2025 group of Cowboy receivers, especially when it comes to the eventual cold weather. "It makes us unique, the mental aspect and being mentally tough about it. Understanding that it can play into your favor in late November if you're prepared for it." And the Pokes newest coach says while there's still some improvement he'd like to see before the August 28th opener at Akron, he's thrilled with the wide receiver room so far. "It's been going good. I think the energy is really high, guys are flying around. A couple guys that are new are working some kinks out. For the most part we're doing really well. The focus the next couple weeks is who's going to step up and make plays." To listen to the full chat we had to with Coach Bouknight, hit the player below! Wyoming football radio broadcasts can be heard all season long in Fremont County on KOVE 1330 AM and 107.7FM!

These two powerful segments expose the cascading crises fueled by aggressive progressive agendas and institutional dysfunction. First, the host examines how the Netherlands' radical green energy policies have created blackout hours, manufacturing shutdowns, and economic instability—offering a dire warning of what similar plans could bring to the United States. Then, he reveals the escalating violence against ICE agents, including the shocking doxxing of an ICE spokesperson by Congressman Salud Carbajal, which ended in a brutal assault. The narrative intensifies with revelations of Iranian missiles smuggled across America's southern border and chilling intelligence that kill teams were actively targeting Donald Trump during the campaign. In a bombshell twist, the host details how Butler County SWAT officer Aaron Zaliponi—not the Secret Service—fired the shot that stopped the would-be Trump assassin, only for federal agencies to deny his heroism and cremate evidence. Together, these stories illustrate an unsettling convergence of energy failures, political extremism, and security breakdowns threatening the nation's future.

The future homes of the Chiefs and Royals is becoming a Border War. Missouri and Kansas have come up with incentives to build stadiums, or renovate Arrowhead for the Chiefs. The latest development: A letter from Chiefs President Mark Donovan asking Kansas to extend the deadline beyond June 30 for STAR bonds that would be used to pay for up to 70 percent of stadium projects. “Together,” Donovan write, “we have the opportunity to bring the National Football League to Kansas, anchored by a world-class domed stadium, new team headquarters, a state-of-the-art practice facility, and a vibrant mixed-use and entertainment district.” This comes on the heels of Missouri passing the Show-Me Sports Investment Act, which also sweetens the deal for the teams, paying up to half for the teams' new homes. On SportsBeat KC, The Star's sports podcast, veteran Kansas City sports writers Vahe Gregorian, Sam McDowell and Jesse Newell join host Blair Kerkhoff to break down the Border War competition for new or rebuilt stadiums that will cost in the billions. These two explosive transcripts explore the intersection of immigration, political power, and civil unrest. They assert that a coalition of Democratic leaders and cartels is engineering a long-term plan to reshape the American electorate through illegal immigration, sanctuary policies, and social welfare programs. With sharp criticism of California's role, federal benefits fraud, and efforts to resist ICE enforcement, the narrative positions Donald Trump as dismantling this alleged system. Riots and protests are portrayed not as grassroots movements, but as orchestrated operations aimed at preserving the “shadow nation” — millions of undocumented migrants seen as future voters. Together, these segments form a provocative account of the battle over America's borders, sovereignty, and identity.

Immigration Showdown: Trump Admin Escalates Enforcement – A sitting Democratic congresswoman is federally charged for assaulting ICE officers; California jails are forced to comply with deportation warrants; and the Supreme Court greenlights Trump's rollback of protected status for 350,000 Venezuelan migrants. Meanwhile, the administration considers suspending habeas corpus for mass deportations. Trump's “Self-Deport or Pay” Strategy Emerges – A Honduran woman faces a $1.8M fine for ignoring a deportation order since 2005. As self-deportation flights begin—with $1,000 cash incentives—Trump's team aims to make noncompliance too costly to ignore. Iran Tensions Rise, U.S. Fortifies Diego Garcia – Following Iran's fiery rejection of nuclear limits, the U.S. deploys F-15s to the Indian Ocean base to protect strategic bombers amid threats from disguised Iranian missile ships and drones. Europe's Populist Politics and Alleged French Election Meddling – Portugal's Chega party surges again, while Romania's pro-Western candidate scores an upset many say was influenced by France's intel agency to protect natural gas interests. Hong Kong Researchers Identify Oral Bacteria as Autism Biomarker – A new study finds that oral microbiota can diagnose autism with 81% accuracy. The discovery could lead to early-intervention swab tests for infants and reshape autism research. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." – John 8:3220 MAY 2025
In this fiery two-part exposé, Tara dives deep into the escalating global and domestic crises reshaping America's alliances and security. From Donald Trump's bold stance in the Middle East — cutting ties with Iran and reaffirming alliances with Saudi Arabia — to the unchecked power of drug cartels invading U.S. soil, Tara lays bare the consequences of Democratic leadership. With cartel violence livestreamed in Mexico and corrupt political networks infiltrating America, Trump's message is clear: it's time to take sides, restore order, and dismantle the corrupt nexus between international gangs and the Democratic establishment. A blistering indictment of foreign policy failures, border neglect, and internal betrayal.

In this intense and alarming discussion, the hosts explore Donald Trump's claim that he offered to send U.S. troops into Mexico to combat cartel violence—an offer allegedly rejected by Mexico's president out of fear for her life. The segment dives deep into the grip cartels hold over Mexican politics, a series of political assassinations, and the infiltration of violent gangs like Tren de Aragua into American cities such as Aurora. The conversation warns of escalating cartel influence, government inaction, and the merging interests of political parties with criminal organizations—raising the specter of civil conflict and territorial loss within the U.S.
Here on Colonial Outcasts we are becoming accustomed to covering controversial and polarizing conflicts where no matter how balanced you try to be you're gonna catch heat-rounds - Russia/Ukrain, Syria, and now Kashmir. I know many of you are not familiar with the situation in Kashmir and why It matters to you, but I'll say this and this is my boiler plate perspective. Palestine has been occupied by Israel since 1948, Kashmir has been largely occupied by India since 1947. Both Supremacist ideologies. And since governments learn from each other, military officers and politicians in India's command echelon are looking at the Annexation of the West Bank and are judging it more likely, since Israel has set a blatant precedent, that they can get away with something similar in Kashmir.
