Stinkaholic being Andy's first band and then after a replacement bass player ended up having an episode on stage while on tour , Andy's opportunity arises again and was crash coursed into the band with 25 songs as his audience introduction.  this is just the beginning of a great chat with Andy ! enjoy

Buck-O-Nine may be able to tell us more.Andy Luckman presents the "Offbeat Reggae Radio Show" from his custom-built studio in Essex. He has had previous radio experience working in professional commercial radio from 2001 - 2006. After that, the egos around him became a bit too much and he decided to do something else, somewhere else.The somewhere else was a lot nicer as it goes, while living in Thailand he found an affinity with Reggae music, which played in most beach bars.On his return to the UK he felt he needed a hobby! Weirdly, he missed talking to himself in a cupboard. An outlet was needed and with a fledgling record collection of battered Reggae and Ska - Offbeat Reggae Radio was born.The show plays the FINEST Reggae, Rocksteady, Roots, Dub and Ska. Often radio shows tend to focus on just one or two but Andy felt that with such a wealth of talented musicians … a show that mixed all of the genres / subgenres would offer not only a fantastic listening experience but also would be quite different to anything else out there.This weekly show includes artist features, interviews and selectors choice EPs and Albums along with music that spans multiple decades of the genres.Andy is happy to have the show featured on East Herts Radio.

Recently, comedian Jon Daly noticed there was a cruise line with some 90s ska bands as its entertainment. It got him thinking...what if ska came back, and it was from a ska cruise. This silly thought inspired him to write the song, "Bring Back Ska," which is featured on his new musical comedy album, Ding Dong Delicious. This isn't Jon's only run-in with ska. He also played Skaat, the lead singer of Skaffirmative Action, on the TV show Those Who Can't. His band is played by members of The Aquabats, and Jon crams as many ska puns into every one of his scenes as is humanly possible. So with all of this in mind, we invited Jon on the show to talk about ska. Jon, it turns out, doesn't have an encyclopedia knowledge of the genre, though he "knows enough about ska to make fun of it." We have a good time discussing Skankin' Pickle, Operation Ivy, Sublime, No Doubt, Fishbone, Hepcat, The Specials, Madness and Buck-O-Nine. Buck-O-Nine’s breezy, feel-good ska-pop song “My Town” took off on radio in 1997, but its video didn’t make it into MTV’s heavy rotation. This was due to some delays in the production of the video, making it so that by the time Buck-O-Nine had the video ready, the moment had mostly passed. “My Town” is remembered from this period of mainstream ska in the sort of in-between zone, not quite The Bosstones’ “Impression That I Get” territory but definitely above indie ska band level. Before, during, and after this brush with mainstream attention, the group was on the road a lot. True road dogs. In fact, several guests on this podcast (Suicide Machines, Link 80, Mustard Plug) mentioned touring with them at some point or another. So, understandably, a large percentage of this week’s episodes revolves around the glorious misery that is touring. We are joined by Buck-O-Nine’s Jon Pebsworth, Jonas Kleiner, and Tony Curry, who tells us about their mindblowing and hilarious experiences on the road. There were some surprises in there too, like their time on the road opening for Primus, and then later touring with Smash Mouth. Neither of those tours went great.
