Here's what we do know:On Tuesday, during a press availability in the Oval Office of the White House, President Donald Trump told reporters that the total number of living hostages in Gaza dropped from 24 to 21. “As of today, it's 21. Three have died.”, he said. Israel maintains that officially, the list of living hostages remains 24. Trump also said that the US would stop bombing Yemen's Houthis after the Iran-backed group had agreed to stop interrupting important shipping lanes in the Middle East. The announcement did not mention the Houthi attacks on Israel, including a missile that hit Ben Gurion international airport on Saturday, to which Israel responded with a crippling attack on Yemen's international airport in Sanaa. Following Trump's announcement, a spokesman for the Houthis pledged that the strikes on Israel would continue. On Thursday, sources told Reuters that the United States is no longer demanding Saudi Arabia normalize ties with Israel as a condition for developing its nuclear program - a major concession by Washington. Senator Lindsey Graham says he opposes any pact with the Saudis that excludes normalization with Jewish state. Earlier in the week, on Monday, Israel's security cabinet authorized plans for the widening of the Gaza invasion, which if taken to its logical conclusion, meaning Hamas refuses to surrender and release the hostages – could result in an Israeli reoccupation of Gaza and reestablishing some permanent presence there.It is unclear at this point if this military plan is going to be implemented, or if it is used as leverage on Hamas as a negotiating tactic. That said, Finance Minister Betzalel Smotrich said on Monday that “We are finally going to occupy the Gaza Strip. Today, Stephanie and Kevin are joined by Judith Kurnick, a second act coach, a speaker, and a writer who guides lawyers, executives, and business owners in escaping the corporate life and designing their next chapter. Judith shares how her personal experiences informed her work. She shares her work philosophy, which emphasizes that she is not the expert, and her job is to partner with clients and help alter their perspectives. She discusses the varying factors that make it difficult for individuals to shift their mindsets, and then talks about what impacts the timetables of these shifts.   Judith explores the types of things she explores with her clients, comparing the process to buying a house. She starts with identifying one's top five drivers, and then comping up with a scenario or several that work for you, and then eventually preparing to launch their new life through clear planning. She talks about how exploring possibilities can help get one past feeling stuck. Judith explains the differences between resume virtues and eulogy virtues, stressing the increasing importance of meaningful work and relationships.    She then shares ageism she has witnessed, and the ways in which COVID exacerbated it. She provides examples of simple ways to combat ageism through language, like calling someone an older adult instead of a senior. We all wish we could win the lottery. I mean, who doesn't love the idea of a life-changing financial windfall? The chance to pursue your real passions, get all your loved ones out of debt, travel, just…not have to worry anymore? But for the tiny percentage of people who actually do win the lottery, against almost impossible odds, the reality often ends up a lot more complicated than they expect. According to the NY Daily News, about 70 percent of lottery winners end up flat broke within 7 years. Worse than that, some believe there's a curse attached to winning.
