The Hardys retained the World Tag Team titles against The Rascalz in one of the night's highlights, Leon Slater held onto the X-Division Championship against Cedric Alexander, and Mike Santana defeated Sami Callihan in a Baltimore Street Fight that may have marked Callihan's farewell. While technical issues marred the preshow, the main event and key title bouts gave TNA momentum heading into Bound for Glory. In Mexico, Triplemanía marked the official beginning of WWE and AAA's working relationship. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Nick Khan stood alongside AAA leadership to emphasize collaboration. On the card, Omos won the Copa Bardahl, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. claimed the Latin American title, and Psycho Clown and Pagano captured the AAA Tag Team Championship. Judgment Day scored a win in trios action, Flammer retained the Reina de Reinas Championship, and in the main event, El Hijo del Vikingo retained the AAA Mega Championship in a four-way over Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano, with AJ Styles making a shocking run-in to help seal the finish. The event had the production, presentation, and pacing of a WWE show, sparking debate about AAA's evolving identity under this partnership. On the business side, TKO announced that UFC will end its traditional pay-per-view model beginning in January 2026 under a $7.7 billion, seven-year deal with Paramount Plus and CBS. WWE also secured a five-year, $1.6 billion agreement with ESPN, moving Premium Live Events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble to ESPN's new streaming service. At the same time, reports revealed WWE holds an option to purchase TNA and a right of first refusal should the company seek another buyer, further linking the two promotions' futures. Finally, NJPW's G1 Climax 35 has reached its conclusion. Konosuke Takeshita defeated EVIL in the final at Ariake Arena, fighting through an injured knee and overcoming House of Torture interference to secure his first G1 victory. Along the way, Takeshita shocked Zack Sabre Jr. in the semifinals, setting the stage for their Wrestle Kingdom clash, where he will challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. With this win, Takeshita declared himself “The Alpha,” signaling his rise as NJPW's new international ace. In a heart-wrenching moment during the Cincinnati Reds' 4-0 loss to the Atlanta Braves on May 5, 2025, rookie left fielder Tyler Callihan suffered a season-ending broken left forearm, casting a shadow over the game at Truist Park. The 24-year-old, playing in just his fourth MLB game after a recent call-up from Triple-A Louisville, was injured while attempting a diving catch on a Matt Olson fly ball in the third inning. Callihan briefly gloved the ball before crashing into the padded wall in foul territory at full speed. The impact dislodged the ball, resulting in a two-run inside-the-park home run for Olson, as Callihan writhed in pain, his arm bent at a gruesome angle. The Reds challenged the no-catch ruling, but replays confirmed Callihan didn't maintain control, per MLB rules. He walked off the field with trainers, his arm splinted, and was later diagnosed with multiple fractures requiring surgery. Manager Terry Francona expressed devastation, noting Callihan's effort and character, saying, “He's such a good kid, you feel terrible for him.” Teammate Brady Singer, who pitched six innings but allowed all four runs, praised Callihan's hustle, stating, “I'll take guys like that every day.” Callihan, a 2019 third-round pick, had shown promise with a .303/.410/.528 slash line in Louisville and notched his first MLB hit days earlier. His injury, following a history of setbacks like a 2021 Tommy John surgery, is a tough blow. The Reds, held to one hit by Braves starter AJ Smith-Shawver, now face the challenge of moving forward without their resilient rookie.

One of my favorite callers and human beings, Mr. Buddy calls in with what could be the greatest phone call this show has ever had. He goes scorched earth, take no prisoners, kill em' all and let God sort em' out on admitted double murderer and pedophile Daniel Callihan.

“I'm on Lexapro. Sober. No drugs in my system. I did it,” said Callihan.

Lemme break this down for you:   Daniel Callihan, the suspect in a double murder, allegedly killed Callie Brunett in Loranger, Louisiana, on Thursday morning. He then kidnapped her two daughters, Erin (4 years old) and Jalie (6 years old), and took them to Jackson, Mississippi. Sadly, Erin was later found murdered.   Callihan and another suspect, Victoria Cox, have been charged with capital murder, and Callihan faces an additional charge of sexual assault, although the victim hasn't been specified.   Callihan's sister has spoken out, describing him as evil and explaining their upbringing by their drug-addicted mother. It turns out that Callihan's father was also a murderer. In 1990, he kidnapped and killed a 20-year-old woman from Denham Springs, Louisiana. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison but later escaped with the help of a woman. He then kidnapped a 17-year-old girl, shot his accomplice in the face, crashed during a police pursuit, and ultimately killed himself before being arrested.   What a tragic and disturbing story.
