Send us a textEpisode 518"The Fugitive", "Terrifier 3" and "The Munsters"Actor: Daniel Roebuck. The very kind Dan Roebuck joins me to talk his lengthy acting career from Matlock to Rob Zombie and his role in the iconic "The Fugitive". Plus Dan clears the air once and for all as to what happened with his casting in "Home Alone."Having made his feature film debut starring in the teen comedy Cavegirl Daniel Roebuck quickly realized that there was only one direction to travel in his career. Up!Soon after Cavegirl, Roebuck established himself as one of the industry's youngest character actors with his haunting portrayal as the teenage killer, Samson in The River's Edge.Daniel Roebuck was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, At the age of 10, he started performing in talent shows doing impressions of movie stars he loved. He joined a local circus two years later and made his debut as one of the youngest clowns in the country. Roebuck's clown act eventually segued into a magic act and he performed that throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. His film credits are myriad, having starred in blockbusters like The Fugitive, US Marshals, and Final Destination, as well as popular titles including Agent Cody Banks and it's sequel, That's What I Am, Money Talks, Flash Of Genius and so many more.Lately, Roebuck has enjoyed working in a number of horror movies - his favorite genre. He has collaborated with filmmaker Rob Zombie on Halloween, Halloween 2, Devil's Rejects, and Lords of Salem (as well as a commercial for AMDRO, the insecticide). He also appeared in Don Coscarelli's cult favorite Bubba Ho Tep as well as the director's Reggie's Tales and John Dies At The End.Daniel has also been a familiar face on television for nearly 3 decades, he was a regular for three seasons on the evergreen hit drama, Matlock, portraying attorney 'Cliff Lewis," the junior partner of the law firm headed by Andy Griffith's beloved character, 'Ben Matlock.' Interestingly, his landing the role was the fulfillment of a promise made several years earlier with his first appearance on "Matlock" in its inaugural season. At that time, Roebuck was told that Griffith had been so impressed with his work that he would be back as a regular on the show. It took five seasons, two more guest shots as different characters, and a change of networks, but Griffith kept his promise and Roebuck indeed became a series regular. As a television guest star, Daniel has played countless characters. Some of his most memorable are a cop who literally turns into a pig on Grimm, a Romulan on Star Trek, Next Generation, a gun toting hostage taker on NYPD Blue, a cranky studio owner on Sonny With A Chance and a grieving father on Glee. He played other memorable roles on New Adventures of Old Christine, NCIS, Ghost Whisperer, CSI, Boston Legal, CSI Miami, Law And Order, Desperate Housewives and Hot in Cleveland. On the popular show, Lost, Roebuck portrayed the infamous Dr. Leslie Arzt, the aggravating science teacher whose explosive exit in the finale of the first season remains one of television's most surprising and talked about moments. He has starred in dozens of TV Movies. Perhaps his most famous turn was his critically acclaimed portrayal of Jay Leno in The Late Shift. Revealed: the Miracles of Jesus Part One: Water into Wine, John 2:1-11 By Louie Marsh, 8-13-2023 Last slide Jesus hand over jar. 1) A miracle is: something NATURALLY impossible. Miracle human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause. – Dictionary.com dunamis (δύναμις, 1411), “power, inherent ability,” is used of works of a supernatural origin and character, such as could not be produced by natural agents and means. It is translated “miracles” - W. E. Vine, Merrill F. Unger, and William White Jr., Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words (Nashville, TN: T. Nelson, 1996), 412. 2. semeion (σημει̂ον, 4592), “a sign, mark, token” (akin to semaino, “to give a sign”; sema, “a sign”), is used of “miracles” and wonders as signs of divine authority - W. E. Vine, Merrill F. Unger, and William White Jr., Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words (Nashville, TN: T. Nelson, 1996), 412. 2) God moves when I LEAST expect it. “1On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. (John 2:1–2, ESV) In the New Testament era Jewish weddings were a very big deal. They didn't just have a ceremony but a wedding feast. These feasts would go on for as long as the family could afford, sometimes even lasting a whole week! Needless to say you stocked up well in advance for the event and there was one thing you absolutely could not run short of and that was wine. Unfortunately that's exactly what happened at a wedding feast that Mary, Jesus and His disciples were attending. 3) Can you change God's PLAN? 3When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” 4And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” 5His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:3-5, ESV) Mary springs into action in a way that tells us a lot not only about her personality but about how women functioned in the real world of the first century as well. Women were to be unobserved in public. The veil was one symbol that reflected this status in society. The veil was a requirement for every married woman. In addition to being a symbol of modesty and virtue, the veil also indicated a woman's married status and subordination to her husband. In keeping with the idea that women were to be unobserved in public, men were not supposed to look at married women, converse with women in public, or even give a woman a greeting when they passed on the street. The oral law stated, “Let no one talk with a woman in the street, no, not with his own wife.” It was unusual for a Jewish teacher to converse with a woman in a public place. The rabbis taught that women were not to be saluted or spoken to in the streets, and not to be instructed in the law. Jewish women were not as restricted in public appearance as Greek women but did not have the freedom of first century Roman women. Yet here is Mary taking charge. She's a ball of fire and in spite of what her Divine Son says is absolutely sure he's going to do something and so she orders the servants to stand by and do everything Jesus says! Clearly, within their own households and probably extended families, women wielded a great deal of influence, as they have done throughout human history. 4) Skip the fight – GET the point! 6Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. (John 2:6-8, ESV) · Jesus ignores TRADITION Jesus had the servants fill the ceremonial washing jars, which were used for washing the outside of the body according to the law and refilled them with something inside the body. That might not sound like a big deal to you, but to the pious Jews in attendance at the Feast it would have been. This demonstration is just the beginning of his countercultural teaching. Over and over he would come to challenge the ways of the religious leaders, and the thinking of the people. · Jesus does the impossible – QUIETLY. 9When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom 10and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.” (John 2:9–10, ESV) There was no dramatic pose or clever catch phrase like we would do today. No flashing lights, no earth shaking, no thunder or lightning. There was no nothing, and no time for anything either. The jars are filled, and Jesus says, take some and have it taste tested! And just like that Jesus demonstrated both his authority and his power. · Jesus shows his authority extends to the MOLECULAR LEVEL. “3He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,” (Hebrews 1:3, ESV) “17And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:17, ESV) In changing the water into wine, Jesus demonstrated his authority over all things down to the molecular level. Whether Jesus made wine or grape juice remember this: it takes a miracle for either transformation to occur. Water doesn't change its molecular makeup without the authority of the Creator. Dr. Cliff Lewis explained it this way: At a molecular level, the water, basically hydrogen and oxygen, was changed into wine that contains sugars, yeast, and water, which contain carbon and nitrogen along with oxygen and hydrogen. Thus, by changing water into wine Jesus demonstrated his authority over even the atomic structure of atoms by commanding oxygen and hydrogen atoms to disassemble and reform into other atoms of different configurations. The amount of energy it would take to perform this atomic deconstruction and reconstruction is staggering. This intermolecular energy being released is the source of the explosive energy from an atomic bomb. However, since Jesus caused the wine atoms to come back together, he would have to put this astronomical amount of energy into the atoms in order to have them reconstruct. To do so without any visible energy transformation of the liquid (John does not say anything about people noticing the transformation) indicates a mastery of natural law far beyond our current comprehension. And he accomplished it with no physical exertion. Jesus didn't have dehydrated wine! [picture]. 5) This is a sign not an excuse to ARGUE. And what happened? Well according to the Master of the Feast it was the best wine ever! If you translate the Greek literally here he basically said, “Most people wait till people are to drunk to know the difference and then bring out the bad wine. But you've saved the best for last!” The wedding feast is saved, everyone is happy, especially I'm sure, His Momma Mary! There is some controversy around this miracle however. The question is was there alcohol in the wine or not? Debate can rage back and forth on this one. Occasionally people get pretty worked up over this. So let me say this as a complete teetotaler who's never been buzzed much less drunk. I don't know and neither do you or anyone else alive today. The only ones who know for sure are the people who were there that day and they aren't talking! “23Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. 24And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,” (2 Timothy 2:23–24, ESV) 6) The purpose was to help the disciples BELIEVE. 11This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.” (John 2:11, ESV) · Am I a disciple of Jesus? “30Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” (John 20:30–31, ESV)

For Earth Day week, we bring you a look at ways young people can help save the planet! We'll be talking with Cliff Lewis, author of We the Future! This week on The Cosmic Companion, we look at ways young people can help make Earth a better place to live. Later in the show, we're going to be talking with Cliff Lewis, author of We the Future! [This episode is aimed toward young people, but there are plenty of lessons in here for everyone, so keep watching, regardless of your age.] {Thank you!}Since the start of the Industrial Revolution the Earth's climate has been rapidly changing due to human activity, primarily the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas. In fact, it has been 46 years since our planet last experienced a year with cooler-than-normal temperatures. Now, I know you've heard the term “global warming” before, and you might think it just means that the Earth is getting a little warmer, no big deal. But here's the thing: global warming is already resulting in some pretty serious problems.Listen to the podcast here, or watch the video version of this episode! The production of greenhouse gases is causing the Earth's temperature to increase, leading to rising sea levels, more frequent and intense natural disasters, and setting off a cascade of plant and animal extinctions.Rising temperatures are causing glaciers and ice caps to melt, which could mean more flooding, more intense storms, and the pollution of water supplies for large cities.[It's too bloody hot!]Climate change is also resulting in more extreme weather, like heatwaves and droughts, which can harm crops and lead to food shortages. Ocean temperatures are also rising, driving deaths of coral reefs and a loss of biodiversity. But there is hope. We can take action to protect our planet and prevent the worst effects of climate change. We can reduce our carbon footprint by driving less, using renewable energy sources like solar and wind power, and eating a plant-based diet. [Did you know humans share about 98% of our DNA with pigs, compared to just 90% with cats and 82% with dogs? We even play video games! So… May I recommend a yummy fruit smoothie for breakfast?”] {Mmmm… Fruit smoothies!}Young people have the power to make a difference, advocating for policies prioritizing the health of the planet and supporting sustainable practices. You can speak out about the urgency of climate change and encourage others to take action by your own example, striving toward a more Earth-friendly lifestyle.Next up, we talk with Cliff Lewis about his new book, We the Future! So, here's the good news: we can do something to reduce our carbon footprint. When you need to travel, consider having fun and getting some exercise by walking or biking whenever possible. Or take public transportation instead of driving a car. Young people can also talk to your parents about the benefits of driving an electric or hybrid vehicle. In addition, household solar panels and rainwater harvesting reduces demand on utilities, decreasing our use of fossil fuels significantly. This can save a significant amount of money on your home's electricity bill!Another important thing nearly all of us can do is to recycle! Some other ideas are to reduce waste by using reusable water bottles, lunch containers, and bags. Some people will downplay the effects of personal choices in protecting the environment. And, although it is true that large industries create vast amounts of the environmental pollution, consumers have the power to make them change.Large unscrupulous corporations [EVIL LAUGH] do the damage they do for one reason — to make money. As consumers, we have the power to support alternatives to environmentally damaging products and practices. We can choose to buy products that are made sustainably and reduce harm to the environment. We can support companies that prioritize reducing their carbon footprint and investing in renewable energy. If enough of us make these choices, we can have a real positive impact on the environment. We can show companies that there is a demand for environmentally-friendly products and practices, pushing them to make changes to their products and policies. Finally, get involved in your communities! Join a local environmental group, attend climate rallies and marches, and make sure you're educating yourself and others about these issues. As life springs to, well, life, around us this season, let's celebrate the plants and animals and fungi and other beings around us by doing what we can to help save our planet for future generations.[[We can all plant the seeds for future generations. Don't leave it for others to do. We all need to be pollen in the same direction. Let us get to the root of the…]]Next week on The Cosmic Companion, we have a special guest for Earth Day! We welcome Sandra Postel, director of the Global Water Policy Project to the show. [[Greetings, mortals. I'm Poseidon, Greek god of the sea. I'm also god of Earthquakes. And, for some strange reason, horses. I'm basically a walking Jim Morrison poem. Ahem. I assure you that water is one of the most precious resources on the planet. On Earth Day, The Cosmic Companion asks the question, “Water is More Important!?” Answer? Not much. Dive on in with us starting on Earth Day, 22 April.]]If you enjoyed this episode of The Cosmic Companion, feel free to comment, share, and tell your friends about the show. What would you do if someone came back to the future to save the earth? No, we're not talking about the Terminator today (Looper maybe but no Arnold today), we're talking about 'We the Future' by fantastic author Cliff Lewis. In his book, Cliff details what might happen if someone from the future comes back to present day to teach us how we can help solve the climate crisis! In this episode of the podcast, Cliff and Joe get into a fantastic conversation about Cliff's origins writing, what led him to write this book, how it's a moral imperative to "make the world a better place", and what we can all do to try and reverse some of the ways we've been contributing to the problem. It's an overall fascinating discussion, enjoy! About Cliff Lewis Cliff Lewis is an author and speaker who helps young readers explore weighty subjects through the lens of a wild-eyed, pop culture-addled imagination. He also specializes in freaking out his neighborhood by dictating these stories into his phone while jogging before dawn. About 'We the Future' Ever since he learned about climate change, Jonah dreads a weather-beaten future where not even his asthma medication can save him. Luckily, a girl from that future arrives just in time to throw Jonah a lifeline. Sunny traveled back to the 2020s with a mission: Help Jonah launch a climate strike big enough to rewrite history. To do it, he'll have to recruit his entire school before Halloween. Why so soon? Sunny won't say. But how can Jonah win over 600 classmates when the only thing he dreads more than the end of the world is talking to other kids? The debut novel by Cliff Lewis is a compelling introduction to climate science for any young reader unlikely to binge-read the latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. But, at its heart, We the Future is about more than the climate. It's about the practical steps that everyday kids can take to organize themselves for real world change. Wake the Faith up Slayer… This is Garth Heckman with the David Alliance and you can reach me at TDAgiantslayer@gmail.com Brought to you by wellbuiltbody.com Gym Apparel for men and women that rocks and shocks and ain't for everybody - but just might be for you. wellbuiltbody.com John 2 First miracle water in to wine… In todays world it can take between 3-4 years to plant and harvest a worthy crop of grapes. Then 8-12 weeks to bottle them and then another couple of years to age and properly embody a great wine in that bottle… all told a great wine could take up to 5-8 years… and even longer depending on how long you would like to keep the bottle and maintain it until you want to drink it… but not with Jesus… Not only does jesus take our mundane, the water from the stone pots that everyone has had their dirty hands in, and is just filthy… not only does he take that and make wine, but he does not need 8 years… he needs nothing more than the time it takes to be asked. Great wine takes a long time: Jesus can take the mundane and common and immediately make it amazing. Like with your life… just do what he says! Remember what his Mom “mary” said to the servants… just do whatever he says- and boom we cut out the middle man, the work, the labor, the money the dependence in circumstances like weather etc… You want to change fast? - obedience will get you into the new wine! Another amazing thing we see here is that Jesus shows his power over the smallest details. He turned the common and its basic structure into a new molecular cellular transformation. If you pick grapes, crush them, ferment them and bottle them you get wine over time. If you take water, shake it up, bottle it and give it time, you still get water. if you give it years… you still get water. But God takes water… and changes it miraculously. Dr. Cliff Lewis explains: At a molecular level, the water, basically hydrogen and oxygen, was changed into wine that contains sugars, yeast, and water, which contain carbon and nitrogen along with oxygen and hydrogen. Thus, by changing water into wine Jesus demonstrated his authority over even the atomic structure of atoms by commanding oxygen and hydrogen atoms to disassemble and reform into other atoms of different configurations. What small details in your life under the masters touch could be transformed… even the minute detail, the smallest of things that seem easily overlooked? Does not matter to the master - Just do what he says and watch him transform all areas of your life, even the smallest!

Having made his feature film debut starring in the teen comedy CAVEGIRL Daniel Roebuck quickly realized that there was only one direction to travel in his career. Up!Soon after CAVEGIRL, Roebuck established himself as one of the industry's youngest character actors with his haunting portrayal as the teenage killer, Samson in THE RIVER'S EDGE.Since then Daniel Roebuck has continually challenged himself with each new role he undertakes. His fearlessness was readily apparent as Roebuck took on the guise of Jay Leno in THE LATE SHIFT, HBO's critically acclaimed telefilm, written by Bill Carter, directed by Betty Thomas, and executive produced by Ivan Reitman. THE LATE SHIFT detailed the "late night wars" as NBC jockeyed for the services of Jay Leno and David Letterman following Johnny Carson's retirement from "The Tonight Show." Roebuck described the task of playing such a high-visibility entertainer as "the hardest thing I've ever done." However, after driving past Leno while on his way to an initial make-up test for the role, Roebuck believes there is a "definite serendipity" to his involvement in the project.Never one to be satisfied, Daniel stepped into another set of famous shoes when he was asked to play Garry Marshall in BEHIND THE CAMERA; MORK AND MINDY, THE UNAUTHORIZED STORY. A long time fan of Marshall's oeuvre, Roebuck was thrilled to yet another leap into the world of Bio pics.Aside from his numerous on camera projects, Daniel has recently lent his voice to two animated films. In the first, CHRISTMAS IS HERE AGAIN, Daniel plays an elf named Paul Rocco. Roebuck is also producing the 2007 release. The second film is THE HAUNTED WORLD OF ELSUPERBEASTO. In it, Daniel reprises his role of Morris Green, from Rob Zombie's THE DEVIL'S REJECTS. Although many actors have played the same character in 2 different movies, this may be the first time that one project was live action and the second film was animated! In 2005 Roebuck settled back into series television when he joined the cast of LOST in the last three episodes of the acclaimed series' first season. Daniel played the misunderstood Dr. Leslie Arzt and made TV history when he exploded on camera in the season finale!Roebuck has been a familiar face on television over the last 20 years, he was a regular for three seasons on the evergreen hit drama, MATLOCK, portraying attorney 'Cliff Lewis," the junior partner of the law firm headed by Andy Griffith's beloved character, 'Ben Matlock.' Interestingly, his landing the role was the fulfillment of a promise made several years earlier with his first appearance on "Matlock" in its inaugural season. At that time, Roebuck was told that Griffith had been so impressed with his work that he would be back as a regular on the show. It took five seasons, two more guest shots as different characters, and a change of networks, but Griffith kept his promise and Roebuck indeed became a series regular. In the fall of 2003 Mr. Roebuck returned to series television as Pete Peterson in A MINUTE WITH STAN HOOPER, Fox TV's new comedy starring Norm MacDonald. In the series Roebuck portrayed a gay owner of the local diner where much of the action took place.Audiences will also remember Daniel for his many unforgettable guest star roles on television over the years. Grateful that he's never been typecast Roebuck has played cops to crooks and everything in between. Some of his memorable characters include a super villain attempting world domination on LOIS AND CLARK, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, a Romulan on STAR TREK, an Army lieutenant on THE WEST WING, a Catholic Priest on ANY DAY NOW, a sex addict on SIX FEET UNDER, a distraught husband on ER and a fleeing mob accountant on MONK. Other recent credits include NAVY NCIS, GHOST WHISPERER, CSI, BOSTON LEGAL, LAW AND ORDER and DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and CLOSE TO HOME.However it was a turn as the gun wielding crazy,
The boys gather up unoffended with Cliff Lewis this week! They catch up with Cary Brooks aka Duff Man! They get to know about Cary's start in the hobby as well as becoming a brew master!!
Daniel Roebuck stars as the voice of "Frankie" in our audio drama adaptation of Mark Wheatley's acclaimed graphic novel FRANKENSTEIN MOBSTER. After a recording session at The Invisible Studios in Los Angeles, we found we had a little time left and started chatting about working together, filmmaker Larry Blamire, our careers in film, audio drama, and films and projects that we're working on. Thanks to our LA audio engineer Charles Carroll for his great work on “Frankenstein Mobster”, and for rolling tape on our conversation! - Mark Redfield November 2021 ABOUT ACTOR DANIEL ROEBUCK Daniel Roebuck is a veteran actor who has worked in film and television since the 1980s, appearing on television shows such as "Matlock" (as Cliff Lewis) with Andy Griffith, "Nash Bridges" (as Rick Bettina), and "Lost" (as Dr. Arzt). He played Jay Leno in the acclaimed HBO movie "The Late Shift" and has guest starred on shows such as "Bones", "The King of Queens", "Glee" and "The Man in the High Castle". Film work includes a wide variety of roles, including US Marshal Bob Biggs in "The Fugitive" and "U.S. Marshals", with Tommy Lee Jones. Horror and fantasy films include "Bubba Ho-Tep", and five movies by Rob Zombie, including "The Devil's Rejects". I'm excited to be working with Dan again. We worked together in Larry Blamire's old dark house/murder mystery comedy movie "Dark and Stormy Night". And when I say "work together again", I don't just mean as a director. It's been all about monsters, mobsters, and....MUNSTERS for Dan recently! On Monday October 18th it was announced that Dan will play Grandpa Munster in Rob Zombie's upcoming film "The Munsters"! The Gospel of John 1-7, Pt. 3 The Sign of the Son By Louie Marsh, 5-2-2021 Intro: Signs The 5 Man Electrical Band lyrics as recorded by The Five Man Electrical Band in 1971 And the sign said, "Everybody welcome. Come in, kneel down and pray" But when they passed around the plate at the end of it all, I didn't have a penny to pay So I got me a pen and a paper and I made up my own little sign I said, "Thank you, Lord, for thinkin' 'bout me. I'm alive and doin' fine." Wooo! Sign, sign, everywhere a sign Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign? 5 picture Slides, last one the gas pump! The story of Jesus turning water into wine at a wedding in Cana is found only in the Gospel of John. 1) I need to PAY ATTENTION to the Sign! “11This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.” (John 2:11, ESV) John said that it was through this “sign” that Jesus revealed his glory for the first time. John saw glory in Jesus. Glory is a big word meaning honor, dignity, and splendor. These words point to the deity of Jesus. It’s interesting how quietly this miracle took place but how many divine attributes of Jesus can be seen. Focusing on whether there was alcohol in the wine is an ABUSE the text. 2) Jesus shows me I must live HONORING others. “1On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. 3When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” 4And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” 5His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”” (John 2:1–5, ESV) Some say Jesus did this miracle simply to appease his mother. Or, as some have put it, he obeyed her. But Jesus was an adult and was no longer subject to her authority. To this, they may respond that he was honoring her. Or could it be that she exhibited faith with her words, “do whatever he tells you,” and he honored her faith? Either way, we see honor. 3) Jesus shows me His way is always COUNTERCULTURAL. “6Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.” (John 2:6–7, ESV) Jesus had the servants fill the ceremonial washing jars, which were used for washing the outside of the body according to the law, and refilled them with something inside the body. This demonstration is just the beginning of his counterculture teaching. Over and over he would come to challenge the ways of the religious leaders, and the thinking of the people. “8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” (Matthew 6:8, ESV) 4) Jesus shows me His unmatched AUTHORITY. 8And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it.” (John 2:8, ESV) In changing the water into wine, Jesus demonstrated his authority over all things down to the molecular level. Some argue he didn’t turn water into wine but into grape juice. This is simply ridiculous, but just to humor such criticism, it takes a miracle for either transformation to occur. Water doesn’t change its molecular makeup without the authority of the Creator. 5) Jesus shows me His unmatched POWER. “9When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom 10and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.”” (John 2:9–10, ESV) Changing water into wine requires demonstrating power over time and space. Wine requires many processes that cover a long period of time. The growth of the plant. The maturation of the grape. Harvesting the grape. Treading the grapes into juice. The aging time required for fermentation. Great wine takes a long time to ferment. Jesus bypassed the entire timeframe in moments, which only God can do. 6) Jesus teaches me to trust God not PEOPLE. “23Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing. 24But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people 25and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.” (John 2:23–25, ESV) “26Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.” (Proverbs 28:26, ESV) “8It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. 9It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.” (Psalm 118:8–9, ESV)

Selling 90 homes in one year sounds like the definition of real estate success. Cliff Lewis did that in 2013. But he didn't consider it a good year. He was working almost 100 hours each week. He had no time to be with his newborn twins at home, and couldn't take a vacation. Something had to change. That's when Cliff started time-blocking with a unique, color-coded system that ties specific tasks to how they impact all aspects of his business. On this week's Walkthrough, Cliff shares his complete time-blocking system -- the system that helped him sell 147 homes the next year while working less and spending more time with his family. If you're ready to run your business and stop letting the business run you, this is a conversation you can't miss.
This episode the guys share a ton of laughs with Cliff Lewis. Cliff shares his history of learning to hover and its safety concerns as well as his journey up to F3c competition! Hope you enjoy!
