Are we just souls trapped in bodies—or something more? In this powerful message, Pastor CJ Ward breaks down the misconception that our physical health is separate from our spiritual health. Drawing from Genesis 2:7, 2 Corinthians 5, and Matthew 12:34, CJ shows how we are fully integrated beings—body and soul—created in the image of God. He challenges the cultural belief that the soul matters more than the body and reminds us that the hope of resurrection is not about escape but restoration. Using relatable metaphors like bicycles and water bottles, CJ helps us see why what we do with our bodies matters deeply to God. Key Takeaways: You are a whole person—body & soul. What you do with your body has spiritual consequences. God's goal for you isn't perfection but holistic health. Healing comes through pursuit, prayer, and trust. Our ultimate hope is resurrection—not escape. Your Gut is More Important than You Think & Selma Revisited
One of my all-time favorite topics to dive in and educate on is…MACROS!I've talked about macros many times in previous episodes (check some out linked below), but my goal for today's episode is to break them down super simply, and with a bit of a fresh perspective.Macros (short for macronutrients) are the biggest piece of the puzzle; they've transformed sooo much for me over the years, and really changed the game for me on my fitness journey! As I'm working with many new clients right now, I'm continually reminded of how women don't really understand what macros are, or even how their bodies work. Macros are not just some ‘fad diet' or ‘quick fix' - they're made up of proteins, carbs, and fats, so they're in literally EVERYTHING you eat. If you're consuming food, you're consuming macros!Counting and tracking your macros is very similar to budgeting your money. Just like you track, save, and spend your money, you've got to know what YOUR specific body needs in terms of macros. When you start counting and tracking your macros, that's when you truly start to understand what macros are, and how they work for you (not against you).If you're stuck in a ‘diet' mentality and think you can only reach your goals by doing low carb or low fat diets forever, this episode is for YOU!I want to help you go forward, and be empowered to make macros work for you and YOUR life, for the long-term. I'm proof that it's possible, and I would love to help you get there, too!!In this episode, we cover:Realizing that you're already consuming macros in everything you eat + why this is NOT a ‘diet'Why macros = energyMacro counting vs. macro tracking + why macros are like moneyHow to adjust your macros ‘target' based on your goals (fat loss, muscle gain, etc.)Why it's essential to be consuming ‘enough' proteins, fats AND carbs + getting specific data on YOUR bodyLearning to *truly* understand macros and break free from fad dietsLinks/Resources:Ep. 132 | Simplifying Macros: Why Flexibility is More Important than PerfectionEp. 91 | Real Talk: Understanding and Tracking Macros is Essential for Long Term SuccessEp. 6 | 3 Reasons Why Tracking Macros Will Help You Reach Your Health and Fitness GoalsFood tracking apps: MyFitnessPal, Lose It!, MyNetDiaryJoin FIT CLUB, my monthly membership with workouts you can do at home or the gymPRIVATE COACHING is my 1:1 program (choose 3 or 6 month option)Connect with me on Instagram @kristycastillofit and @unfuckyourfitnesspodcast so we can keep this conversation going-be sure to tag me in your posts and stories!Join my FREE Facebook group, Unf*ck Your FitnessClick HERE for my favorite fitness & life things!
In this episode of The Sales Gravy Podcast, Jeb Blount interviews Keith Peiris, CEO of Tome, to discuss how AI is transforming sales, from prospecting and building lists to crafting personalized emails and uncovering hidden opportunities. Key Takeaways: – Understanding Strategic Alignment is Key: Successful enterprise sales go beyond impressing with technology. It is essential to understand a prospect's business strategy and align solutions with their key initiatives. – Effective Discovery is More Important than the Demo: Sales success hinges on understanding what the prospect cares about and tailoring the conversation around their needs. – Vetting Opportunities Saves Time and Resources: It's not enough to have an excited champion. The real question is whether the solution aligns with the company's strategic goals and can gain executive buy-in. – Develop a Point of View (POV) Before Outreach: Instead of waiting for a meeting, develop a POV on why a prospect needs your solution and use that to guide outbound efforts. – Human Relationships Still Matter Most: AI can accelerate research and help craft messaging, but building trust and making prospects feel understood and valued remain the most consistent predictors of sales success. – Outbound Prospecting Must Be Consultative: Hunting effectively requires approaching prospects with a well-researched, consultative mindset rather than relying solely on automated, impersonal outreach. – Over-automation Leads to Diminished Trust: Prospects can easily detect AI-generated emails, and overuse of automation can lead to being blocked by potential clients. – Sequencing Tools Must Be Used Thoughtfully: Sequencing tools are valuable when used for multi-touch, multi-channel strategies, but they should complement, not replace genuine human outreach. These tools can be effective if used for synchronous and strategic touches, like personalized emails, calls, and handwritten notes. – Slow Prospecting Wins: AI has accelerated email prospecting, but the resulting automation flood has led to blocking and decreased trust. Personalized, thoughtful prospecting, where each touchpoint is meaningful, stands out, and builds credibility. – Sales Leaders Are Banning AI-Generated Emails: Sales leaders are increasingly banning AI email tools and automated SDR platforms due to the damage they cause to domain reputation and customer trust. Thoughtful, human-crafted communication is becoming a necessity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIsMpNvHYqo The Balance Between Technology and Human Connection The sales industry has evolved significantly over the past few years, and a major driver of this change is artificial intelligence (AI). Tools that automate prospecting, communication, and customer insights have become a standard part of the sales process. While AI offers immense advantages, it's not a magic bullet. Success in sales still requires a balance between leveraging technology and maintaining human connection. As companies race to adopt AI-powered tools, many salespeople have fallen into a common trap: over-automation. The temptation to let AI handle everything, from prospecting to follow-ups, is strong. After all, these tools can send hundreds of emails, automate responses, and even draft messages that mimic human speech. However, over-reliance on automation has led to new challenges. The Pitfalls of Over-Automation One of the biggest issues with over-automation is the flood of generic, AI-generated emails and messages. These communications often lack personalization and fail to connect with prospects on a meaningful level. The result? Prospects are increasingly blocking or ignoring automated outreach. In some cases, entire domains are being flagged as spam, cutting off communication entirely. Sales leaders are starting to recognize the dangers of this trend. Many have banned the use of AI-generated emails and automated outreach tools altogether.

Self-Esteem, Self-Confidence, and Self-Acceptance What's the Difference? What's More Important? Questions for today's Ask David podcast David asks: What's the difference between self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-acceptance? Guillermo asks: How do you help people who are not asking for help or don't even know they need help with depression? The answers to today's questions in these show notes were written before the podcast. The information on the podcast may be quite different and will typically provide much more information than the brief answers below. David David asks: What's the difference between self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-acceptance? Hello David, The mental health world seems to like or argue about the meaning of terms like self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-acceptance? What's the difference between them, and which one is the best thing to have? David's response: Great question, David. I think of self-confidence as the conviction that you're probably going to win because you're very good at something. Self-esteem, in contrast, is the decision to love yourself whether you win or lose. Between those two, I'd say that self-confidence is more fun, but self-esteem is more important. But where does self-acceptance fit in? That's the big buzz word these days, although the concept has been around for ages. We'll have to ask the experts today to find out where it fits in! I'm a bit confused at the moment! Guillermo asks: How do you help people who don't know that they need help with depression? Hello, Dr Burns I was curious as to how you would help someone who isn't aware (or capable to know--but not in a medical sense) that they need help. You've said before that the worst thing you can do is try to help (especially when no one asked for help), but how have you handled in the past cases when someone isn't aware that they need help for depression? Seems like it would be very tough without the person being motivated. As always, thank you for all you do, Guillermo Campos Rhonda, Matt, and David will reply on the podcast. David and Rhonda are grateful that Matt can join us often on the podcast.
