Hey Clemson Family, the Tigers now own 21 ACC titles thanks in large part to the emergence of Cade Klubnik at quarterback Saturday night in a 39-10 win over North Carolina in the 2022 ACC Championship game – and Clemson now is headed to another New Year's Six bowl game in the Orange Bowl, where Klubnik will make his first career start. Plenty of other players were huge factors in the win over the Tar Heels, as wide receiver Cole Turner boost onto the scene with a couple of big plays and the Tigers' first 100-yard receiving game of the season. Cornerback Nate Wiggins had a pick-six as well as a blocked field goal and several pass breakups to post the biggest game of his young career. Linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. made his presence felt to would-be Heisman Trophy contender Drake Maye, with three sacks on the vaunted Tar Heels quarterback. Barrett Carter, Trenton Simpson, Andrew Mukuba, Jalyn Phillips and Ray Mickens Jr. also had big games. Hey Clemson Family, the Tigers had a successful effort to control the game and defeat Louisville on Saturday, 31-16, check out the reasons Clemson improved its showings on offense and on defense despite some key talents missing the game because of injury. On defense, linebacker Barrett Carter was among the players who stepped up even as he moved to a new position; Carter had a pretty play hurdling a would-be blocker on his way to 8.5 tackles, 3.5 for loss, and a prominent interception. Wade Woodaz and nickel defensive backs including Andrew Mukuba filled the resulting gap ably as well. On offense, Will Shipley and Antonio Williams continue to power the attack while Phil Mafah emerged with perhaps his most complete form yet to lead the team in rushing. Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei capably handled Louisville's pressure. Hey Clemson Family, the second week of the Tigers football season showed some new successes on offense, but some surprisingly persistent troubles also were visible for the vaunted Clemson defense this year – and it remains to be seen whether those issues will be a trend or an early glitch. The Tigers have maintained a bend-but-don't-break mentality on D and kept opponents at an average of 11 points per game in the first two weeks of the 2022 season, but one major problem has been obvious against ACC opponent Georgia Tech and FCS opponent Furman – and Daniel Shirley points out it must get resolved before the schedule gets tougher with a road game against defending ACC Atlantic Division champion Wake Forest coming up in Week 4 and N.C. State coming to Death Valley in Week 5 looking for its second straight win in the Textile Bowl rivalry. Reasons for optimism shone through, however, in the offense's performance as quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei put up strong statistics in the first half this week and generally had the offense moving in much more effective fashion (as it should have, admittedly, against a lower-tier opponent). Hey, Clemson Family - with ACC media days behind us, it's time to float some predictions for the final year of the Atlantic and Coastal divisions, and it should not be shocking that Clemson is once again among the favorites to win the conference (but how high can the Tigers go after a down season saw them miss the ACC title game in 2021?) with some solid challengers on the schedule. Bill Zimmerman and Daniel Shirley will also go over what to expect along the Tigers' offensive line, which needs to play better if Clemson is going to advance during the postseason. We've also got a preview of this year's Clemson at Florida State game, with the Seminoles also looking to improve and restore some drama to the rivalry. Plus the Clemson baseball team secured a couple of commits in recent days, and the men's basketball team got some potentially good news about its star player, P.J. Hall. We want to be your source for analysis of all things Tigers this year, so follow or subscribe and you won't miss out on anything.

Hey Clemson Family -- Come check out what Daniel Shirley and Bill Zimmerman, two longtime sports-media members who have followed Clemson sports and the ACC since even before their time as Clemson students and graduates, have to say about some of the latest happenings on campus. That includes plenty to say about the Tigers' red-hot month of football recruiting in June, with 11 commits (so far) and why it matters (and how much it matters). The show opens, though, with a quick look at the new Clemson baseball coach, Eric Bakich, and the outlook for what's next regarding his staff. And stick around for an impromptu grade of new athletic director Graham Neff, where he's doing well and what challenges might remain for his first year.
