The culture of cover-up within British public institutions has devastated countless lives. From Hillsborough to the infected blood scandal to the Primodos drug tragedy, families have spent decades fighting for truth against a system where many in authority have colluded against them. This episode explores the urgent need for the Public Authority Accountability Bill - commonly known as Hillsborough Law - with two powerful voices leading the charge: Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester who first introduced the bill to Parliament in 2017, and Marie Lyon, Chair of the Association for Children Damaged by Pregnancy Hormone Tests. The bill would establish a legal duty of candour with criminal sanctions for officials who mislead or obstruct investigations. Equally crucial, it would ensure parity of legal funding at inquests, stopping the practice where public bodies hire top legal representation while families struggle with limited resources. As Burnham explains, "It has been too easy for authorities to cover up in this country and too hard for ordinary families to get to the truth."Marie Lyon shares the harrowing story of how pregnant women were prescribed Primodos - a drug containing synthetic hormones at 40 times the dose in contraceptive pills - despite evidence dating back to 1967 showing it caused birth defects. The decades-long cover-up reveals a disturbing pattern: public bodies prioritising financial considerations over human suffering.Despite Prime Minister Keir Starmer's commitment to enact the law before the 36th anniversary of Hillsborough, the deadline has passed. Campaigners remain vigilant against attempts to water down the legislation."The British government underestimates the strength of the British people because people do not give in and they keep fighting." says Burnham. https://hillsboroughlawnow.org/https://primodos.org/It's not possible to reply to “fan mail” so please contact me through my website angelawalkerreports.com Hi listener. Send us a textA Canadian inventor successfully adapted a car to run on ammonia 40 years ago. Why did governments suppress this technology? Greg Vezina shares how ammonia could finally lead us to a hydrogen economy without building entirely new infrastructure. His journey began with a single car conversion in the 1980s that sparked four decades of advocacy for ammonia as a cleaner energy alternative. The chairman and CEO of Hydrofuel Canada shares how he successfully adapted a Chevrolet Impala to run on ammonia and drove it across Canada, only to face political roadblocks despite demonstrating the technology's viability. The most promising immediate applications for ammonia aren't personal vehicles but industrial sectors—cement production, heavy equipment, garbage collection, and shipping. Projects like the UK's Leeds initiative, with offshore wind generators producing ammonia on-site to fuel barges, demonstrate practical integration with existing systems.Beyond ammonia, Vezina's team is pioneering photochemistry—using light instead of heat for chemical processes—which could revolutionise hydrocarbon refining without carbon emissions. This breakthrough would allow continued use of existing infrastructure while eliminating pollution, offering a pragmatic transition pathway.Want to learn more about the future of clean energy? Visit hydrofuel.com and follow the developments being announced at the Canadian Hydrogen Conference. The energy revolution may not look exactly as we imagined—it might be powered by ammonia instead.Hi listener. I thought you might enjoy Don Anderson's podcast. Send us a textMany young disabled adults are not fulfilling their potential because of a lack of government support. That's according to the founder of a charity that helps those young people achieve their ambitions. Jane Holmes set up Building for the Future because of her own experiences after her daughter, Kitty, was born 24 years ago. Building for the Future supports around 500 families but is running out of space and plans to expand by 2026 to better serve young adults transitioning from education. These young people often face isolation when care packages prove insufficient, leading parents in their 50s to abandon careers to provide necessary support. With the charity receiving no government funding and concerns about proposed cuts to disability benefits, Jane calls for longer-term thinking from policymakers.https://www.bftf.org.uk/Hi listener. Send us a textWhat effect will Donald Trump's crackdown on diversity have on the UK?He's scrapping all the government's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programmes and sent all the staff home.Diversity isn't just about compliance—it's about transforming workplaces and societies - that's the view of Mo Kanjilal, a leading voice in diversity and inclusion.Join me, journalist Angela Walker, as I sit down with Mo to investigate the ripple effects of Donald Trump's policies on both sides of the Atlantic. We unpack the rollback of diversity programs and protections for marginalised groups, exploring how these actions might shape corporate cultures in the UK and feed into broader societal attitudes. Mo sheds light on the root causes of resistance to diversity, often born out of fear and misunderstanding, while also addressing the persistent challenges and discrimination faced by women and minorities in professional settings. Our conversation extends to the alarming rise of racism, fuelled by international rhetoric, stressing the urgency of fostering inclusive environments.https://www.watchthisspace.uk/https://www.amazon.co.uk/Inclusion-Journey-Creating-strategy-engagement/dp/1398616729/#DiversityAndInclusion#EquityMatters#InclusionJourney#DiversityAtWork#BreakingBarriers#MoKanjilal#TransformingWorkplaces#InclusionMatters#EndDiscrimination#WomenInLeadership#DiversityUnderAttack#TrumpPolicies#GlobalImpact#RacismAwareness#SocialJustice#InclusiveFuture#StandForChange#MakeWorkplacesInclusive#FearVsUnderstanding#EqualityForAllHi listener. Send us a textIn this conversation, John Cardamone shares his personal journey of healing from childhood abuse and explains how he helps families, schools and organisations create better connections with children, so they are happy and confident - and able to confide if things go wrong.John explains how his mum's reaction when he disclosed be was being abused by a family member was critical in enabling him to get help and recover. He discusses the importance of accountability for abusers and the societal responsibility to address child sexual abuse effectively, in the light of the Church of England scandal that saw the resignation of Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury who failed to report prolific child abuser John Smyth to police.John highlights his coping mechanisms, including the significance of connection and belonging, and introduces practical tools for families to communicate about body safety and empower children. The discussion underscores the need for a shift in societal attitudes towards child abuse and the importance of creating safe spaces for children to express themselves.https://johncardamone.com.au/https://www.nspcc.org.uk/Hi listener. Writer Glenn Patterson finds out how, in May 1974, a tiny band of loyalists and unionists over fourteen days stages a strike that paralyses Northern Ireland, and slides it into anarchy. Then twelve years old, Glenn lived through these events, taking place in the context of a 'Troubles' during which 1000 have already died. 50 years on, he digs into what really happened, because these events cast a long shadow. The Ulster Workers' Council stoppage culminated in the overthrow of Northern Ireland's democratically elected devolved government - then just five months old, and the first power-sharing administration ever in the country's history. Its formation, which involved controversial formal links to the Irish government, sparks the stoppage. Decades pass before the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement of 1998 brings another such attempt at power sharing. Now, exploring the legacy of the strike, he tries to uncover what it might mean for us today. On March 30, 2023 I delivered my farewell Legacy Lecture to the UM-Dearborn community. There were 70 plus people present. The event had four stages. First, two colleagues (Don Anderson and Elias Baumgarten) reflected on my career and their interactions with me; then I delivered my talk; then five memorable students were on a panel to discuss their work with me; then there was an Open Mike. The full event was about two hours. The full video event is available on the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters Deep Blue website. My talk was around 50 minutes. That is what is here. Thanks for listening.

Ecclesiastes 6:1-12 NIV 1 I have seen another evil under the sun, and it weighs heavily on mankind: 2 God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor, so that they lack nothing their hearts desire, but God does not grant them the ability to enjoy them, and strangers enjoy them instead. This is meaningless, a grievous evil. 3 A man may have a hundred children and live many years; yet no matter how long he lives, if he cannot enjoy his prosperity and does not receive proper burial, I say that a stillborn child is better off than he. 4 It comes without meaning, it departs in darkness, and in darkness its name is shrouded. 5 Though it never saw the sun or knew anything, it has more rest than does that man— 6 even if he lives a thousand years twice over but fails to enjoy his prosperity. Do not all go to the same place? 7 Everyone's toil is for their mouth, yet their appetite is never satisfied. 8 What advantage have the wise over fools? What do the poor gain by knowing how to conduct themselves before others? 9 Better what the eye sees than the roving of the appetite. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. 10 Whatever exists has already been named, and what humanity is has been known; no one can contend with someone who is stronger. 11 The more the words, the less the meaning, and how does that profit anyone? 12 For who knows what is good for a person in life, during the few and meaningless days they pass through like a shadow? Who can tell them what will happen under the sun after they are gone? Solomon is textbook midlife crisis: growing older, can't sleep, stagnate career, mediocre marriage, lack of purpose, a few health problems, and a lot of regrets. When a majority of these ingredients join together, the stage is set for a crisis. * More specifically, watch out for the unlucky thirteen says Don Anderson: 1.The recognition of the approach of old age, and an increasing desire to avoid it; 2.A sense of boredom after twenty to twenty-five years of marriage; 3.A severe feeling of sadness and loss over the fact that the children are grown and about to leave home; 4.A decline in physical health—the heart palpitates occasionally and the body lugs around extra pounds; 5.Job security threatened by younger workers or computer replacements; 6.Failure—especially the recognition that there are unrealized personal and professional goals which may never be met; 7.Success—(ironically) which has proved unfulfilling, not “all it was cracked up to be”; 8.A consuming thirst to get rich; 9.A perceived need for new challenges, experiences, and opportunities; 10.A desire to search for real meaning and purpose in life, coupled with a feeling of futility concerning present activities; 11.Weariness regarding hassles and responsibilities; 12.A fierce longing to escape gnawing problems and instead start over in life, making a new beginning; 13.The absence of an intense desire to walk with God and to know Him more intimately. When several of these thirteen circumstances exist simultaneously, even in varying degrees, then you have a very real emotional, physical, and spiritual pressure cooker. Like other men in crisis, Solomon's perceptions about life have changed. Our overcommitted lifestyle, misplace values, neglect of God, and lack of knowledge about His ways finally catch up with us, as we are tested for unworthy goals. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/shcc/message
Don Anderson was born in Glendale, California in 1959, but very early in life moved to a rural farming community in Utah where his mother and younger brother lived for a good part of his life after his father passed away. He always believed the homes they lived in were haunted, only to discover they were not a result of spirit hauntings, but numerous abduction and contact experiences, which only increased in frequency and intensity as he grew older. Then one night, in the summer of 1984, as a single parent himself to a young boy, they both were taken from their room and carried through a beam onto a craft, which was floating in the air across the street from their home. When he was placed back in his bed after the event, he immediately had an instant recall of a lifetime of past contact experiences, which included watching himself being escorted into the delivery room where he was being born...with a grey being who was reminding him to “not forget” who he was. The experiences continued throughout his life on a shamanic level, as well as being a contactee with remembered experiences. These experiences include times where he was told ..not to talk about the subject of alien contact.. followed up by a military abduction experience, and a real time contact experience involving a race of beings referred to as the Preying Mantis, with three others, in the high country of Utah not too far from the Skinwalker ranch. As a public speaker he has spoken to audiences throughout the western states of Idaho, Utah, Oregon, and Washington about his experiences and the impact they have had on his life as well as the area 51 conference which was held in Rachel, Nevada at the time. Also recent interviews with authors and researchers Grant Cameron and Preston Dennett as well as recent shoots with the Discovery channel. He initially formed the Oregon UFO Encounters group to help contactees and abductees with a platform to speak from. The author of ‘The Wanderers: A Souls Journey' and ...Path of the Shaballa blogsite.. he currently resides in the Portland, Oregon area and works in the public sector as well as performing energetic removals and curse work influence. if you found this content beneficial please consider donating: buymeacoffee.com/typicalskeptic Or maybe Join the Patreon for bonus content New Unreleased shows every week for less than a cup of coffee: Help me keep making videos! patreon.com/typicalskeptic Check out the Swag: Typical skeptic podcast t shirts: https://merc.li/KmGQPE9Nb?sv=0 For more typical skeptic podcast interviews go to: www.youtube.com/c/typicalskeptic www.anchor.fm/typical-skeptic www.rokfin.com/typicalskeptic www.rumble.com/typicalskeptic Affiliates: Tachyon Living - tachyonliving.com/rob.html and use code skeptic free gift for a free gift -Book a reading with Debra Moffit Intuitive readings:Use Code TSP2023 https://www.debramoffitt.com?cc=STP2023 -Natural Shilajit and Monoatomic Gold from Healthy Nutrition LLC.use code: ROB And my affiliate link to share: https://glnk.io/77v6/3 -Starseed Activators https://www.indigoangel222.com/starseed-activators?ref=GdvC0VibCoupon Code TypicalSkepticP #AlienAbduction #UAP #UFO #Paranormal #Encounter #contact #ufology #greyalien #mantis #disclosure --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/typical-skeptic/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/typical-skeptic/support

Don Anderson lived in Spanish Fork, Utah. He is now in Oregon. In 1984 he woke up to see a gray alien inside his bedroom, taking away his 4-year-old son. Don leaped out of bed and informed the gray that if they were going to take his son, he wanted to join them. The gray agreed. Both Don and his son were taken onboard a craft where they were greeted by a female human-looking ET who gave them a tour of the craft. The ET informed Don of several events which would soon occur in his personal life. Don and his son were then returned. There was also a grey that Don recognized as if he had encounters. Like all experiencer he realized that he had encounters his whole life. in the past life. . He even remembered a "pre-life" encounter during which his gray alien guide showed Don's mother giving birth to him! Like other experiencers he began a lifelong search for answers. He also began experiencing a wide variety of paranormal events including precognition, out-of-body experiences, communication with spirits and more. And of course, more UFO encounters. Don's meetings attracted the attention of the U.S. military who threatened him not to talk about his experiences. As a result, Don decided to go public. He spoke at conventions and began doing interviews and writing about his encounters. He even put together a website called "Path of Shaballa" to share the spiritual information he learned at the hands of the ETs. Shaballa can be translated as "Wisdom of the Ancient Ones." Don's case is very large. He has worked hard to appreciate his encounters, learn from them, and communicate the wisdom he has been given. He says that while people are very interested in the physical aspects of his encounters, it is the spiritual information that is the most valuable and is the cause for deciding to go public. In our conversation we also talk about how the craft is flown, and healing that occurred. Don's full story is told in my book, "Wondrous: 25 True UFO Encounters," now available. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0949H5Y8G/...
