What if God doesn't want to erase your past… but redeem it? In this first episode of our June series, Identity in Christ, I'm diving into 2 Corinthians 5:17—“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation.” But what does that actually mean for your everyday life? And what does it reveal about God's heart? We're unpacking why your past doesn't disqualify you, how God meets you in the darkest places, and why real transformation isn't about pretending you've never messed up—it's about knowing who's holding your story now. If this resonates with you, After God's Heart, my daily devotional podcast on Patreon, is where we go even deeper into verses just like this—every single day. It's not about more information; it's about learning how to walk with God in real time and see His heart in every word of Scripture. LESSON 286The Hush Of Heaven Holds My Heart Today.Father, how still today! How quietly do all things fall in place! This is the day that has been chosen as the time in which I come to understand the lesson that there is no need that I do anything. In You is every choice already made. In You has every conflict been resolved. In You is everything I hope to find already given me. Your peace is mine. My heart is quiet, and my mind at rest. Your Love is Heaven, and Your Love is mine. The stillness of today will give us hope that we have found the way, and travelled far along it to a wholly certain goal. Today we will not doubt the end which God Himself has promised us. We trust in Him, and in our Self, Who still is one with Him.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

Welcome to this episode of Show Up Fully where Grief Coach and Death Doula, Tammy Faulds, and I are back for our annual chat! This week's episode is about the rich interconnectedness between creativity and grief. “Emotions are energy in motion.”Get the Full Show Notes & Transcript hereWhat's in This Episode:* Tammy's definition for grief is “the end of or change in a familiar pattern of behavior.” Grief encompasses so much more than death — which is why Tammy's mission is to change the narrative around both grief and death. We learn how being forced into creativity allowed Tammy to reimagine rituals around transition. Curiosity lets us navigate the world from a different perspective. * Like any other emotion, grief wants to be honored. I share a recent loss within my family and the challenge of navigating both the creative and grieving process. Tammy helps us understand when we use creativity, curiosity, and bravery, grief can become a portal to a new way of doing things. And tears are the natural, healing response. * Tammy and I also discuss creative blocks from the entrepreneur + solopreneur lens and the power of naming grief's presence. Grief shows up whenever it wants — so how do we make space for it to both exist and exit? Join me as Tammy teaches us how to acknowledge grief and death as part of the cycle while noticing the unique ways it interacts with each of us. Learning the emotion allows us to move forward. Topics Covered:* Welcome back to the podcast, Tammy! * The connection between creativity and grief* Navigating grief to be able to nourish creativity* Intangible loss vs. ambiguous loss* Tears as a healing psychological response * Multiple cycles occurring simultaneously Resources Mentioned:* Listen to Show Up Fully: Episode #77 with Tammy Fauldsxo Chef CarlaPS: If you loved this episode, please leave a review on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, or on your favorite podcast platform. We all have ups and downs in life and this is also true of our love for Jesus. There are times we love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind, and other times we love Him as an afterthought. How can we cultivate a habit of the heart where we regularly and joyfully live in obedience and worship of Jesus? I believe we can learn from the saints and spiritual fathers in the contemplative tradition. We will look at two sisters in the Bible who are often pitted against each other as one being better than the other; but the saints and spiritual fathers teach that it is better to learn a little bit from Mary, and a little bit from Martha.

How is your heart? Soul, spirit, physical, mental existential well being. Rather than asking how you are; asking how is your heart gets to the whole person. Why do we care about changing this perspective? Addressing our "whole humanity" is the basis for moving toward whole health and building a caring community. Why ask how is your heart? We often get caught up in a single minded focus on what it means to be happy, healthy, well… Asking how is your heart is an attempt to capture the whole human experience - physical, mental, emotional. This is going to be a big season where we touch on many issues related to how we are feeling and how we can life our most honest, authentic, and whole life. Hosts: Dan Winkler and Robert Hatfield | Released Tuesday, May 9, 2023 Jesus was at the heart of Paul’s heart. He never wavered — regardless of what people said about him or did to him. In this season finale of Today With Jesus, Dan and Robert overview Acts 21-28 with four words which emphasize Paul’s devotion […]
Romans 1:10 always in my prayers making request, if perhaps now at last by the will of God I may succeed in coming to you. It was in Paul's heart to go to Rome, and He was hopeful that God would at last answer his prayer and make it possible. He was in Corinth at the time. We know now that God used conflict in Jerusalem to get him there, but it was love for his fellow countrymen, believers who were suffering from a famine, that took him from Corinth to Jerusalem. Where is the love of Christ taking you? Who do you have a heart for? Is there someone for whom you always pray? One of the easiest first steps of love is prayer. God puts them on your heart, give thanks to the Father through Christ, then listen to the Holy Spirit for what to pray.

Welcome to this week's episode of Show Up Fully where Tammy Faulds, enlightens us on sitting with our feelings and inviting them to the table. "This does suck right now, I am here for you." Tammy helps us talk to our heart in a way we haven't thought of before and gives us the space to do it on our own time, and hopefully share with someone we trust. “Your heart is broken, you are not broken.”We learn grief exists on multiple different playing fields in several interconnected emotions. We experience different losses: death, heartbreak, losing a job, adjusting our routine, hopes and dreams, etc. As anger and sadness roll in, so do anxiety, disappointment, and happiness. The most important thing we can do is be aware of the grief and accept it for what it is. "Hi, what are you here to teach me, let's walk this path together."FULL SHOW NOTES + TRANSCRIPT Topics Covered:● Grief exists in 40 different losses● Showing up for your friends and family members in moments of grieving● What is grief? The bittersweetness of closing season three with the fifth conversation with each and every one of my meandering conversation-partners is matched by the seasonal shift that's upon me – fall is coming. There's still vegetables and fruit to harvest, the warmth from sunshine makes me toss my jacket aside, and trees are only just starting to change color and let go of their leaves… All of which is part of the similarity, it's in the letting go. That just so happens to be part of one of my favorite expressions: Let go, to let come. I cannot find new people to meander with, if I didn't let go (of recording conversations) of these five, in the same way I had to at the end of season two, and the end of season one. “A lot of what I see is how we intellectualize things. We say, ‘how are you?' and you go ‘I'm fine'. Even when you actually are not fine… Am I fine? How's my body right now? What's my state of mind? Is there any aches? Is there any tingling, any bubbles? Is there anything that wants to move? There's so much more to find out both physically and emotionally about where I am, how I am.” ~ Helena And this is just such a place, where I am fine, absolutely, but at the same time… A bit sad. A touch of excitement for what's to come, mingled with a slight sense of exhaustion. Should I consider taking a short break before starting season four? Or record a handful of episodes where I read my own blog posts, similar to the style of the first one hundred episodes of the pod? As you can see, it's possible to go deep and wide when asked How are you? regardless if the one asking is someone else or yourself. But there's more goodies in this episode: “One of Mark Stewart's [coach in the altMBA] favorite questions to ask people is ‘How is your heart today?' So he doesn't say ‘How are you doing?' He says ‘How's your heart today?' And every single time everyone's like ‘Huh!' because it makes you go inside, and ask yourself ‘How is my heart today?”. ~ Mandell How is my heart today? I answered that question yesterday in my kernel journal. (A bit tender, that's the state of my heart right now.) That question is a keeper for me. Perhaps for you too? Or maybe there will be some other tidbit in this episode that will be tankespjärn to last you a day, or week, or… a lifetime?
