Matt Solomon has worked in sales & business development for 16+ years. He had the unique experience of working with a start-up company (ID Agent) and helped it grow from 0 to 2,000 partners in a two-year period through acquisition, then later to 4,000+ partners, making it one of the fastest-growing companies in decades within the channel. Matt has spoken at more than 150 industry events in six countries and received 40 awards in recognition. Post-acquisition, he took on the role of Channel Chief at Kaseya. After 2.5 years, Matt started a consulting company, Channel Halo, working with vendors and MSPs on their go-to-market strategies. After having many of the same conversations, Matt and his former CEO Kevin Lancaster decided to team up again and launch Channel Program. Channel Program is a platform designed to bring together the most innovative technologies in front of Channel Partners (MSPs, MSSPs, VARs, IT Services Providers) and give them a voice in how companies present, enter, and succeed in the channel.

Host Karl interviewed Manoj Srivastava, General Manager of ID Agent and Graphus. Today's employees have a better understanding of cybersecurity risks than in years past, but it can still feel like a massive undertaking to get everyone to complete even the most basic of training. While hacking into a system is difficult, sophisticated social engineering attacks tricking users to give away their credentials is far more common, meaning anyone can fall victim to these scams. Manoj explains why training is not enough. He believe cybersecurity awareness should be embedded into the culture of an organization, with employees understanding how their daily behaviors contribute to the cyber environment. All of that’s preceded by a quick trip through some news from Zyxel, ID Agent, Lenovo, Scale Computing, and Schneider Electric, and accompanied by some shade-throwing at the folks—some might call them bottom feeders—who whine about vendors on Reddit all day. Small and mid-sized businesses are experiencing high levels of risk of breach, with so many web-based platforms like HubSpot, LinkedIn, Smart home platforms, and so many more, it is typical for most of us to create logins to these with our business email address. We have a great show lined up today and we have Kevin Lancaster CEO of ID Agent. Kevin Lancaster is the CEO and Co-founder of ID Agent, the leading provider of Dark Web Intelligence and Identity Monitoring to thousands of businesses globally. Kevin has spent the last 15 years in technical entrepreneurship and consultancy to the public and private sectors. Most notably, he led the team to restore and protect the identities of 4.2 million government employees compromised by the most damaging data breach in U.S. history, on behalf of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
ChannelPro Weekly is back for season two, and it’s bigger and better than ever! No, really, take it from Matt and Rich. They’ll tell you so themselves. Then they’ll chew over IBM’s big push into the SMB space, a new IoT management solution from TeamViewer, and ConnectWise’s acquisition earlier this month of HTG Peer Groups. That’s followed by chatter about ChannelPro’s 2018 tech industry preview article, an interesting new security vendor named ID Agent, some portable scanners, excerpts from an exclusive interview Rich conducted last December with Datto CEO Austin McChord, and a peek at a keyboard drawer, safely preserved in Matt’s tech museum, that dates to the dawn of the PC era. All that plus a lively discussion about donuts. Do you know what a bismark is? Neither do Matt and Rich. Subscribe to ChannelPro Weekly!
