Hey Guys!! It really has been a minute! I have been called to serve others the past few months and I been detoxing my body from those toxic shit bags I had for 22 years. Many clients of mine have been expressing their own need(s) surrounding detoxing their bodies for spiritual reasons and I thought it would be a great time, since we are in a time of tremendous enlightenment and healing, to explain my own detox process and how I have been feeling. You do not need a trauma to detox. We ingest heavy metals on a daily basis, beginning with our toothpaste in the mornings. If you're interested to learn more about detox or have any questions you can find me on Instagram @enlightenedsoul_healing or you can email me enlightenedsoulhealing1@gmail.com Happy healing ☺️ --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

It's been a minute is a phrase used to express the opposite of what it sounds like it means.  Which can be extremely confusing yet fun at the same time.  Like "cool" or "bitch'n". When is it appropriate to use it and when not?   Have you ever wondered, who said it first?  Does it translate well?   What does "it's been a minute" sound like to others?   It's a fun episode of not so thought provoking banter, but hey, it was one of those nights, and it's really has been a minute. Protests, racial divisions, political polarization, and a law-and-order president – it's easy to draw comparisons between 2020 and 1968. But, Adam Serwer, who covers politics at The Atlantic, says that a much better point of comparison actually starts a century earlier – 1868. This week, we share an episode we loved from It's Been A Minute with Sam Sanders that explores a moment when white Republicans fought for years for the rights of Black Americans, before abandoning them to pursue white voters.

Call in your WINS anytime! 760-WINNING -— 760-946-6464 Meet Your Hosts: John Bukenas is a podcast editor from New Jersey. He started the podcast doing keto and intermittent fasting, but is now gearing up for bariatric surgery (probably) later this summer. Emily Prokop is a podcast editor and consultant from Connecticut. She has been doing Intermittent Fasting since April 2018 and has lost about 70 pounds. She started with 16:8 and is now doing 18:6. In This Episode: We’re back after taking last week off because Emily was at a podcasting conference and John had his special lady friend visit! We apparently had completely different weeks. Emily had a blast at She Podcasts Live! She stayed in her window but sometimes forgot to eat. A microphone is like truth serum for us, but it’s also a bit of our motivation to keep going. Oh, Emily missed both her flights. She basically lived through her worst fear twice! Thanks, Southwest, for accommodating a crazy crying lady! For those who watch the live video, one of Emily’s favorite things she got from the conference is a Moxie Award! Podcasters are awesome. Emotions are OK, people! John ran amok, including having a McRib and celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving. “Not now, Alexa! This doesn’t concern you!” Which is better, in your opinion? Pumpkin Pie or Sweet Potato Pie? John is getting back on the wagon and making a pact with Sam, including weighing in with each other! Emily’s goal pants are LOOSE! Congratulations to everyone on their Winning Wednesday posts! Don’t forget to call yours in or join the group and add yours! Emily is in ONE-derland!!!! Since episode 1, she has lost 61 pounds! Fingers crossed that John gets back on track for next week. A Quiet Place was released in 2018. It follows the story of a family in a dystopian future where people are being hunted by monsters that are alerted to any sound. How do you survive in a world where you can’t make sounds? How do you deal with even happy events like the birth of a child? How do you protect your kids, especially one who can’t hear the sounds they make? This is an edge of your seat thriller that hangs on to you from start to finish.Join Jake, Tracy, and Val as they discuss this thriller, perfect for your Halloween time viewing. This is the first of our month long look at scary or at least scaryish movies, just in time for Halloween and October. Our hosts break down the story of this film, directing yourself and your wife in a film, hiring actors with disabilities to represent disabilities on screen. Our team is back at the Watchtower, and back to just our three hosts, after a minute where we had multiple guests. It’s good to be back together, just the three of us. We loved this film and we loved how intense it was, and how sound played such a crucial role. This is a great start to our October. (Ok, we know it’s technically still September, but by one day man. One day!)What did you think of A Quiet Place? We would like to know. Send us that feedback, or any feedback for any episode or movie suggestions to podcast@moviesthatmakeus.com. We really want to know. Next week we will be talking Ghostbusters as our October series moves along. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

In the show, Sanders engages with journalists, actors, musicians, and listeners to gain the kind of understanding about news and popular culture that can only be reached through conversation. The podcast releases two episodes each week: a "deep dive" interview on Tuesdays, as well as a Friday wrap of the week's news. Previously, as a key member of NPR's election unit, Sam covered the intersection of culture, pop culture, and politics in the 2016 election, and embedded with the Bernie Sanders campaign for several months. He was also one of the original cohosts of NPR's Politics Podcast, which launched in 2015. Sanders joined NPR in 2009 as a Kroc Fellow, and since then has worn many hats within the organization, including field producer and breaking news reporter. He's spent time at three Member stations as well: WUNC in North Carolina, Oregon Public Broadcasting, and WBUR in Boston, as an intern for On Point with Tom Ashbrook. Sanders graduated from the Harvard Kennedy School in 2009 with a Master's degree in public policy, with a focus on media and politics. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio Texas with a double major in political science and music. In his free time, Sanders runs, eats bacon, discusses the tortured genius of Kanye West, and continues his love/hate relationship with Twitter

Though Alarcón didn't intend for it to be political, his book gets at what it means to be an immigrant in today's political climate. NPR reporter Sam Sanders was one of the breakout stars of the 2016 election season. He's now the host of his own podcast (and radio show), called It's Been A Minute, in which he talks with newsmakers, artists, and other reporters about everything from music and television to a round-up of the week's news. It's been described as a show for people who are exhausted by the news but can't stop — which probably describes many of us these days. I was delighted to talk with Sanders recently, although he was in a studio at NPR headquarters in Washington, D.C., and I was in a studio in Louisville so we couldn't see each other. He sent me a couple of pictures of some of his items, including a compost bin that was part of a story he did very early in his career, a hat that looks like a pizza (yep), and his couch.
