Writer, podcast host and mental health advocate Gemma Styles joins Ben for a deeply honest conversation about ADHD, anxiety, depression and the emotional weight of going through life feeling constantly overwhelmed without understanding why.Gemma reflects on being treated for mental health struggles long before anyone recognised ADHD, and how her diagnosis reframed years of self-blame, exhaustion and internal chaos. She speaks openly about the experience of internalised hyperactivity - where the mind never fully slows down, even when everything looks calm externally - and the pressure of trying to hold things together while quietly struggling underneath.Together, they explore rejection sensitivity dysphoria, social anxiety, motherhood, burnout and the emotional toll of living in a world that often rewards productivity while misunderstanding overwhelm. They also unpack the growing public conversation around ADHD in women - including the tension between increased visibility and the backlash that can come with it.This episode is about the reality underneath the headlines, labels and stereotypes - the lived experience of trying to navigate a world that often misunderstands overwhelm, emotional intensity and difference. And why finally understanding your brain can change the way you understand your entire life.Join us at hidden20.org/donate.________Host: Ben BransonProduction Manager: Phoebe De LeiburnéVideo Editor: James ScrivenSocial Media Manager: Charlie YoungMusic: Jackson GreenbergHead of Marketing: Kristen Fuller00:00 Introduction04:30 Gemma Styles on ADHD, Mental Health & Public Perception05:35 “My ADHD Was Completely Missed”06:40 Depression, Anxiety & Knowing Something Else Was Going On07:17 The Relief of Finally Understanding Your Brain08:32 Why Talking About ADHD Publicly Matters09:12 ADHD, Boundaries & Being Online12:41 Late Diagnosis Grief & “What If I'd Known Earlier?”13:45 Why So Many Women With ADHD Were Missed14:13 ADHD in Adults: The System Wasn't Looking For It19:00 What Inattentive ADHD Feels Like Internally20:00 ADHD Brains in Crisis Mode28:05 Therapy, Overthinking & Anxious Thought Loops29:37 ADHD & Anxiety: “It Never Fully Switches Off”30:18 Social Anxiety, Fame & ADHD31:27 Can You Be Authentic Online Without Oversharing?32:20 Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria & ADHD34:15 Motherhood, ADHD & RSD40:32 “ADHD Doesn't Feel Like a Superpower To Me”42:57 Writing a Book With ADHD52:23 ADHD Community, Visibility & Feeling Seen53:02 ADHD Social Media & The Attention Economy56:41 Motherhood, Work & Stepping Back From Social Media57:43 What Gemma Styles Finds Frustrating About ADHD Discourse1:00:00 Gemma's Green Dot BadgeThe Hidden 20% is a charity founded by AuDHD entrepreneur, Ben Branson. Our mission is simple: To change how the world sees neurodivergence. No more stigma. He shares how years working in tech and entrepreneurship eventually led him to question why dyslexia assessment systems remained so inaccessible, expensive and outdated.Together, they explore the emotional impact of unidentified learning differences, why schools often rely on “wait until they fail” models, and how understanding a child's cognitive profile can shift the conversation from blame to support. Spotlighting 21 (or 23)-year-old multimillionaire OnlyFans creator Sophie Rain, who claims to have earned tens of millions (reports range from $40M to over $100M) by selling seductive photos and videos while publicly insisting she's still a virgin and a devout Christian who turned down a $15 million offer from an alleged NBA superstar to take her virginity. Her high-profile Miami Swim Week debut amid the frenzy has thrust her into the spotlight as the face of a new OnlyFans-era archetype: young women leveraging sexuality for massive financial gain without "going all the way."This phenomenon ties directly into broader cultural debates, such as why some feminists celebrate sugar babies and OnlyFans "entrepreneurs" as liberated while scorning traditional housewives, and streamer Asmongold's observation that many female content creators operate like softcore OnlyFans models. Critics argue this culture promotes short-term financial wins at the expense of long-term dignity, pair-bonding, and genuine value for young women—especially as social media normalizes selling one's image from a very early age. Supporters call it empowering choice and financial independence. Sophie Rain's story forces the question: Is this peak female agency, or peak civilizational decline?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/depraved-and-debaucherous--5267208/support.Contact KOP for professional podcast production, imaging, and web design services at http://www.kingofpodcasts.comSupport KOP by subscribing to his YouTube channel and search for King Of PodcastsFollow KOP on X and TikTok @kingofpodcasts (F Meta!)Listen to KOP's other programs, Podcasters Row… and the Wrestling is Real Wrestling Podcast and The Broadcasters Podcast.Buy KOP a Coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a PayPal https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=3TAB983ZQPNVLDrop KOP a Venmo https://account.venmo.com/u/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a CashApp https://cash.app/$kingofallpodcasts

Clinical neuroscientist and nutrition researcher Dr Miguel Toribio-Mateas returns to The Hidden 20% to challenge one of the most persistent myths in ADHD: that it's just about the brain. In this conversation, Ben and Dr Miguel explore ADHD through a whole-body lens - from nervous system regulation and eating patterns to capacity, sensory sensitivity and the gut–brain axis. They unpack why food isn't just fuel but a regulatory tool, why so many ADHDers struggle with inconsistent eating, and why “just eat better” advice often misses the point entirely. The conversation then goes deeper into why the same food can feel fine one day and intolerable the next, and how what we often label as “food sensitivities” may actually be linked to stress, overload and nervous system state.Join us at hidden20.org/donate.________Host: Ben BransonProduction Manager: Phoebe De LeiburnéVideo Editor: James ScrivenSocial Media Manager: Charlie YoungMusic: Jackson GreenbergHead of Marketing: Kristen Fuller00:00 Introduction: ADHD Beyond The Brain01:42 Why ADHD Is a Nervous System Condition05:18 Fight, Flight, Freeze: ADHD & Regulation09:12 Why Food Impacts ADHD More Than You Think13:40 ADHD Eating Patterns: Skipping, Binging & Dopamine18:25 Why “Just Eat Better” Doesn't Work for ADHD22:10 Regulation Before Optimisation: Rethinking Food26:30 Simple Food Changes That Support ADHD Brains31:05 Food, Mood & Energy Crashes Explained35:22 Why The Same Food Feels Different Day to Day38:40 Understanding Capacity in ADHD42:15 Sensory Sensitivity, Stress & The Body45:50 The Gut–Brain Axis Explained Simply49:10 “Food Sensitivities” vs Nervous System Overload53:05 Stress, Digestion & ADHD Explained56:10 What Actually Helps: Supporting Regulation First59:30 Dr Miguel's Green Dot BadgeThe Hidden 20% is a charity founded by AuDHD entrepreneur, Ben Branson. Our mission is simple: To change how the world sees neurodivergence. No more stigma. Pablo Lambrechts, Architect and Director at L+ Architects, joins Ben to explore something most of us feel but rarely question - the impact our environment has on our nervous system.Drawing on his work designing neurodiversity-informed spaces (including Google HQ), Pablo explains how light, sound, layout and materials can either support regulation or quietly work against it. This isn't about aesthetics - it's about how spaces shape behaviour, focus and wellbeing. Together, they unpack biophilic design, and why many schools, workplaces and homes are unintentionally disabling for neurodivergent people. I want to alert you, so you don’t miss out on expert analysis and insider perspectives from my guests who provide tips that can help you uplift the community, improve your financial planning, motivation, or advice on how to be a successful entrepreneur. Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Latrisha McIntosh and LaTasha Taylor. Founders of BSM Media Group and the award‑winning BSM Magazine. The conversation covers beauty standards, entrepreneurship, their journey from a one-page blog during the recession to becoming media entrepreneurs, the highs and lows of their career, their spiritual grounding, their historic interview with Oprah Winfrey, and their mission to create dignified, uplifting media. Purpose of the Interview The interview serves to: ⭐ Highlight the twins’ entrepreneurial journey How they built BSM Magazine and BSM Media Group from scratch during the 2008 recession. ⭐ Discuss their philosophy on beauty, representation, and purpose They emphasize inner beauty, authenticity, and rejecting societal pressure—values that shape their platform and interviews. ⭐ Inspire entrepreneurs Through transparency about lows (being undervalued) and highs (interviewing Oprah), they demonstrate resilience, faith, and consistency. ⭐ Showcase their impact Including discovering rising talent early (e.g., Tabitha Brown), providing media opportunities, and evolving into producers, writers, and content creators. Key Takeaways 1. The Origin of BSM Magazine Started as a one‑page business blog during the 2008 recession to serve rising entrepreneurs. They credit the magazine’s creation as “something that God gave us.” Their natural creativity as twins carried over from childhood. 2. Inner Beauty and Authenticity They define beauty as inner strength, confidence, and embracing the way God created you. Social media culture magnifies appearance, but they insist “outer beauty must align with inner beauty.” 3. Sustaining Success Their differentiation comes from focusing on: Quality content Spotlighting overlooked talent Doing things mainstream outlets often ignore They interviewed Tabitha Brown before she became widely known and gave actress Essence Atkins her first magazine cover. 4. Challenges and Low Points Being undervalued and overlooked in the media industry. Being judged by numbers or pushed to the back of the line. Yet, they emphasize:“That ‘no’ comes back around … bigger and better.” 5. High Points Their divine‑timed interview with Oprah in April 2018: They put Oprah on a vision board in January. LaTasha tweeted her daily for six months. Oprah unexpectedly turned around on the red carpet and approached them for an interview. This became a milestone moment in their career. 6. Operating a Media Company as Twins They learned to respect each other’s strengths: LaTasha: writing, articles, layouts Latrisha: creative direction and balance Their partnership is spiritually rooted and purpose-driven. 7. Expanding Beyond a Magazine The magazine now lives under BSM Media Group, which produces: Celebrity content Corporate and government media The Twins a Media Show They evolved into scriptwriters, producers, and consultants. 8. Longevity Comes From Quality They prioritize: Clean, dignified media Positive storytelling Production standards They tell entrepreneurs not to focus on numbers—focus on quality, and longevity will follow. Notable Quotes On Beauty “Inner beauty has such a powerful way of allowing us to be our true selves.” “Embrace your eyes, your nose, your hips—all the way God made you.” “Imagine if everybody operated in their own lane. That signifies beauty at its highest level.” On Entrepreneurship “We realized we were in the business of seeing people—because we were the underdogs.” “Don’t worry about your numbers. Quality will always stand.” “Sometimes your visions are crazy, and they don’t make sense to people—but believe anyway.” On Overcoming Doubt “A low point is being undervalued—but God has a sense of humor. That ‘no’ comes back around.” “We’ve heard it all. You need layers of skin to accept when someone thinks you're not good enough.” On Their Oprah Moment “She turned around, walked past everyone, and came straight to us.” “Nobody but God—and a little effort from Tasha!” On Partnership “God made us twins for a reason. I couldn’t do this journey without her.” “Working in business taught me more about my sister than growing up together ever did.” #SHMS #STRAW #BESTSteve Harvey Morning Show Online: http://www.steveharveyfm.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode of Social Media Decoded, Michelle Thames launches a brand new series called Chicago Builders, highlighting the entrepreneurs, creators, and community leaders shaping Chicago and the South Suburbs. While many conversations about business focus on building large online audiences, Michelle shares why some of the most powerful opportunities come from local ecosystems and meaningful relationships. She breaks down how local visibility can lead to partnerships, speaking opportunities, and business growth, and shares a personal story about her husband being named Citizen of the Year for his impact in their community. If you've ever felt pressure to build a massive following to be successful, this episode will shift how you think about visibility and remind you that the right community can open doors you never expected. What You'll Learn in This Episode • Why local ecosystems can create powerful business opportunities• How visibility grows through community and relationships• The difference between global reach and meaningful impact• Why being known in your own community matters• How entrepreneurs can build influence without millions of followers Visibility Breakdown Michelle explains how local ecosystems create opportunities through conversations, partnerships, and shared networks. Instead of relying only on social media growth, many entrepreneurs become known through events, community involvement, and relationships with other local builders. Room Story Michelle shares a personal story about her husband being named Citizen of the Year in their community, highlighting how consistent involvement, leadership, and service can lead to recognition and influence. This example shows how visibility often comes from showing up and contributing to your community over time. Unpopular Visibility Truth You don't need a global audience to build a powerful business. Sometimes the most valuable visibility comes from being known by the right people in the right rooms. Send a textA shy compliment at Art Basel turned into a passport to the world. We sit down with Miami native and freelance writer Amber Love Bond to unpack how she left corporate finance and built a career that spotlights chefs, bartenders and destinations through stories with heart. From the early days covering Miami's cocktail scene to filing features from Hong Kong, New Orleans and the Caribbean, Amber shows how curiosity, consistency and relationships can take you farther than a perfect plan.We dig into the rituals that make bars and restaurants feel alive—glassware choices, ice and the people behind the stick—and why a strong sense of place is the secret ingredient in travel writing. Amber explains how she evaluates hosted trips, the subtle red flags that can surface only after planning starts, and the simple test she uses when her inbox fills with invites. She also shares straight-talk advice for PR pros: personalized pitches win, strong relationships matter and once a freelancer files, publication timing is out of their hands.Trend-watchers will find plenty to savor. We explore why early dinners now top reservation charts, how Gen Z is reshaping drink menus, and the rise of martini flights and “tiny teenies.” Amber makes a case for New Orleans as a must-visit food and cocktail city and relives a Tuscan feast with the world's most famous butcher that still lingers in memory. Along the way, she offers practical guidance for breaking into food, drink and travel writing without a journalism degree—be kind, answer emails and invest in the relationships that become your career's backbone. If you love food journalism, cocktail culture or travel stories that feel lived-in and local, this conversation is for you. Connect with Amber on Instagram. Tap play, then follow and subscribe for more media insider interviews—and leave a quick review.

Guest: Alastair Paterson, CEO and co-founder @ Harmonic Security Topics: Harmonic Security focuses on securing generative AI in use. Can you walk us through a real, anonymized example of a data leak caused by employee AI usage that your platform has identified? AI governance gets thrown around a lot. What does this mean in the context of Shadow AI? How should organizations be thinking about governing AI in light of upcoming AI regulations in the US and in the EU? If we generally agree that employees are using AI tools before they are sanctioned, how can organizations control this? Network, API, endpoint? Many organizations struggle with the "ban vs. embrace" debate for generative AI. Based on your experience, what's a compelling argument for moving from a blanket ban to a managed, secure adoption model? Can you share a success story where this approach demonstrably reduced risk? The term "shadow AI" is often used interchangeably with "shadow IT" (but for AI-powered applications)  but you've highlighted that AI is a different beast. What is the single biggest distinction between managing the risk of unsanctioned AI tools versus unsanctioned IT applications? Looking forward, where do you see the biggest risks in the evolution of shadow AI? For instance, will the next threat be from highly specialized AI agents trained on proprietary data, or from the rapid proliferation of new, unmonitored open-source models? Given the speed of change in this space, what's one piece of advice you'd give to a CISO today who is just beginning to get a handle on their organization's shadow AI problem?
