FROM:  JellyBelly.com *** Did you ever wonder what happens to the Jelly Belly jelly beans that are a little less than perfect or the ones that somehow escaped the Jelly Belly logo stamper? Well, those are our beloved Belly Flops! For whatever reason, the jelly beans in these bags didn't quite make it through production as they should have. Because of this, they're all a little bit strange and special in their own unique ways. Jelly Belly Belly Flops are no less flavorful, or lovable, than regular Jelly Belly jelly beans; they just come in wild shapes and sizes. You may find one that's round, one that's square, or you may even find a bunch stuck together. On very rare occasions, a flavor may not match a color. A red Belly Flop might taste like Blueberry, or a white one might taste like Chocolate Pudding. Crazy! These bulk bags of Jelly Belly Belly Flops aren't just great deals, they're a lot of fun. They're also perfect for the adventurous candy-lover who doesn't mind getting a treat that's a little bit different or unexpected. *** Yup, I discovered Belly Flops at the 99 cent store today!   Make sure to subscribe and leave a review. Posting real-time illness is just weird.   As more and more people get the virus, just like the flu, doesn't it become normal to get it, and abnormal to post while you are sick? The symptoms are the same as the flu; strep throat; pneumonia; bronchitis, whatever.  My point is that don't people die of complications if unvaccinated from the flu, et al. So what is the real difference at this point?  What weird society are we creating and living in where we have the need to share too much?   The vaccinated get IT but don't get really sick.  The unvaccinated don't get IT and get really sick.  Just like the flu..... Dumber and Dumber a movie from 1994, starring Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels as Dumb and Dumber was a fun, silly, comedy.   Two guys that weren't very smart took off together on a road trip and took the audience along with them.  It was not real life.  In fact, it was far from it.   Today with social media and live social audio platforms so accessible, and without any best practices or rules in place,  it appears the road trip of Dumb and Dumber is in full swine, especially on Club House I'm not sure if this is Dumb or if it is Dumber in this episode, but he is a person of influence and a public figure.  It's also surprising how many people put this man on a pedestal.  WendiCooper@mac.com www.WendiCooper.com Music by Tom Orsi Produced:  C Spot Run Productions All rights reserved.

Is it ageist to write scripts that stereotype people over 50? ...And Just Like That, HBO MAX, the new 10 episodes of Sex in the City totally took the sex out of the city. Darren Star and Michael Patrick King you had a chance to make 50+ sexy and vibrant, and healthy.  Like in the real world. They reinvent themselves, explore new adventures and business because they are savvy superhumans living to 100 - unstoppable - still sexy in the city.   But no. You focus on hearing aids, brittle bones, getting fingered, not kissed for a lesbian experience, heart attacks on a Peloton, and life's goals as "getting back in heels".    You took the sex out of the city with ageist comments and storylines, why not put the fucking Sexy in the City at 50?. Or is it about the costumes? Hmm, because nothing else is working. Correction:  There are 5 episodes on HBOMax, not 4. In 1998 I met Phillip Keel through a friend from the Foundation Room at the House of Blues in Hollywood, CA 1997.  She was dating him, we were all in our 30's.  Phillip was the author of "All About Me" a hybrid journal that contained questions, and blank pages to fill. I remember him telling me that it was a way to leave your story behind for others to find in years to come.  (It was 1997). Of course, we all lost contact over the years.  I knew Phillip lived in Zurich when not in L.A. and that his family had been in book publishing for many, many years in Switzerland.   It is no wonder that he grew a simple idea into the business of beautifully crafted journals.  I truly had no idea until he popped into my head doing this recording. This episode isn't about Phillip Keel, but it is about how it took me 24 years to embrace that it is  "All About Me", and it's important to leave a legacy that can be cherished, in a physical time and space. The only problem was that if you are not a podcaster and just a ClubHouse user that has built a questionable following, then it's difficult to grasp the important of this move by Spotify and why it's the perfect storm for podcasters.  Although I tried to explain many times that Spotify is a solid company with a big long term plans and resources, and that podcasters should be jumping in their chairs about GreenRoom, the "Clubhouse" celebs believe that they will make GreenRoom into the perfect Clubhouse - yet why the hell should Spotify care. So much money is made in credit card processing that Clubhouse spoke much too soon when they swore it was all about the creator.   Townhall is every Sunday on Clubhouse at 9AM PST.  The founders review this and that and the other thing.  Very curated.  But, this Sunday they announced that there will soon be, in the next few months, giving the ability to tip and send payments to creators in app and through Strip globally.  And, that they would be taking a percentage of that revenue. No shit Sherlock.  The statement by the founders that they would not be taking a percentage I found extremely odd and also against their fiduciary responsibility to their share holders as it would make perfect sense to take a "gateway" type fee, resulting in a self sustaining revenue model.  It appears the founders realized they had misspoken.   That's what I talk about in this episode. March 7, 2021 Clubhouse Open Ups the Pearly Gates  This week Clubhouse opened "club" creation to everyone.  In fact, not only did one get to create one club, but 2.   I don't know about you but when there are too many choices the first thing I do as a consumer is run the other way. By opening up the Club creation to everyone it diluted the importance of the "early adopters" who have a huge following, pretty much by default and had dominated the "club" scene for a long time - giving grown-ups follower fatigue.   Newcomers began feeling the unfair advantage, in my eyes, and the "follower" fatigue happened from some influential people outside of the walls of clubhouse and complaints started to come in.   In my opinion, as Clubhouse grew after opening up in late December 2020, other more pressing matters like privacy, scams, grifters, trolls, IP protection, monetization, customer service, HR, came into play - so they had to stop the slow clog in the pipeline which was caused by poor planning and management.  After all, one guy to approve clubs, who is he to approve the club?  That's weird, no?  I don't know.  I am now less apt to use Clubhouse because it's a hassle to find what I want. It gives me anxiety just creating this episode about it.  :).  On March 7, 2021  "Join My Club" requests.   We'll see what happens. www.wendicooper.com www.cspotrun.com CH @wendicooper IG:  @wendicreates  CH Club:  Sixty Something  I did use a short clip of Usher's Let's Make Love in the Club.

It was like a huge slime bomb fell on the new social media love child sent to us from Silicon Valley to make us all feel inclusive and heard.  It's a great concept, and can work in moderation, but opening it up around the world...well there are some problems, like BEST PRACTICES.  Based on the honor system it appears manipulation of the audience, scams, and  fraud are running wild, but most of all people are getting hurt and feeling mentally ruined.  I also predicted this.  (Episode 131 Mother of All FOMO)  The problem is that all of those amazing humans on Club House think they can come together and fix it - if they can, then that's the answer to the world's problems. In my opinion that's what broken.  Club House has given the podium away to everyone which dilute responsibility.  @wendicooper - come talk with me on Club House before it's shut down, as that is the only solution I see to fixing the slimey mess.

EVEN MODERATORS NEED MODERATION on CLUBHOUSE If you have a bad experience in a room on Club House does it sour your taste for the entire app? Let's say your first 3 rooms are a disaster - as an audience member.  Or you agree to be a speaker and the Moderator fights with the audience? Or no one shows up at all.   What type of impression would that leave you on the ClubHouse brand? ClubHouse allows everyone to MODERATE and that, I get the reason for it, but I don't think it is sustainable.    A Moderator is like a live TV or radio show producer.  They have a production team behind the scenes to make the show flow seamlessly to the audience.  Cameras, lights, action!   As a Moderator on ClubHouse you are like the GMA on air host, the line producer, the show runner, the technical director, etc. There could be 1,000 people in the audience and you are the Moderator - I mean, are you comfortable with that?  One bad Moderation on ClubHouse can tarnish you personal brand...ya know. In this episode I explain why you should never pitch your idea for a product or service, or website, or name for a product, on ClubHouse!     Before you pitch anything in a room of hundreds of people make sure your website URL is protected, trademark, brand name, patent on product, etc., is PROTECTED.  You do not know who is lurking in the audience ready to run with it faster than you can. After spending 3 days on ClubHouse, I felt the adrenalin racing through my body and I felt like I was missing something and needed to constantly be involved, or listening, or curious, or I would miss...Yikes...I can't even explain the FOMO I was experiencing. Today I realized that ClubHouse is a combination of Linkedin, HSN and Twitter.   Linkedin for the professional networking and sharing of wisdom.  HSN live TV selling a product in a limited amount of time by two hosts speaking to an audience of millions with limited time. Twitter because it's topical and fast moving. New Years' Eve Is For The Bourgeoisie Is 2021 the year the world changes for the better?   Does the changing of a digit make the world suddenly wake up and do the right thing?   Why do we pretend to celebrate the passing of one year to the other as a time of change, or resolve?   Do we need a reason to make a change in our lives, does the changing of a year, give us that reason?  And if so, why?  On December 31, 2020, thousands of people couldn't breathe, and some took their last breath.   There were millions of people working so we can stay safe and our loved ones can have the care they need.   While others were on social media posting stuck at home with family, oh well there's always next year.  And trying to play happy, look at us, we're in this together, in our warm safe home.  It was hard for me to swallow the fact that so many people are suffering and so many people don't care.   Celebrating New Years' Eve seems so wrong this year, and although I never pull the class card, very bourgeois. I would understand celebrating the vaccine, or a new president, or a stimulus package. But a New YEAR with empty streets, and closed businesses..., I don't think so.  This New Years' eve was an excuse to have a party, not a reason...n'est pas?  www.WendiCooper.com WendiCooper@mac.com  Music:  Osri Digital Post/Tom Osri Produced by:  Wendi Cooper/C Spot Run Productions, LLC

A WeWork Culture Is Forced to Work at Home, Alone I will not imagine a world of working remotely as the norm.  No thank you.   Why?  Because it's not human.  It is isolating.  It creates heaps of loneliness.  It breeds mental health issues. We are human and need to hunt, gather, smell, feel, touch, listen, and use our 5 senses to communicate in more ways than a one-dimensional screen. It simply is not how any generation should be asked to work.  I have worked from home for 25 years.  I am always happiest when I'm working on a project and off-site surrounded by human energy for 6 months.  I thrived on it because the rest of the time I was working from my home office, alone. Is it realistic to think the future is working remotely?  I believe that once the vaccine takes hold and we see a downturn in the right direction, people will flock back to the office...everywhere.  People can't wait to go to work, why would we have a future of work is remote and from home?  Just because we can do it during a pandemic doesn't mean we should do it all the time, does it?   I think there is a sense of purpose when one "goes to work" and is part of a team, and then leaves work to enjoy their non-work life.   When it's all in the same place, day in and day out...it's just unhealthy for everyone.

The COVID Zone vs. Twilight Zone I went to grab the starting few seconds of a Twilight Zone opening, you know the familiar music, to start the episode when what happened next was unexpected.   After listening to the opening with Rod Serling, his words were so poignant and relevant living in COVID today, that it inspired this episode.   Twilight zone: "A dimension of sight.  A dimension of sound.  A dimension of mind.    A place of ideas, imagination, substances, and shadows." Find out why I think we entered the real-life Twilight Zone. I'm not the only one.  I discovered an article written in June 2020 - comparing the new Twilight Zone to the old, and the conclusion is interesting.  Brian Lowry CNN The Old Twilight Zone speaks to the strange times we are living in better than the new one. "Where "The Twilight Zone" historically excelled -- aside from the devilish surprise endings -- hinged on crafting concise morality tales that dealt not only with the apprehensions of the day, but human nature more broadly. That's the most enduring part of Serling's legacy and the one that speaks the loudest to where we are now." `The Twilight Zone' was the brainchild of Emmy Award-winner Rod Serling, who served as host and wrote more than 80 episodes of the original show's 150-plus episode run. It's a strange mix of horror, science-fiction, drama, comedy, and superstition. Serling introduced each episode, and many of the black and white episodes concluded with a surprise ending. | Actors such as Burt Reynolds, Roddy McDowell, and Robert Redford made appearances in some of the more well-known stories. I am grateful for the virus to show us how to live as better humans on a planet we all share. KAYLEY AND HER BIG WHITE BINDER According to Wikipedia, the Loose Leef Binder is nothing special, or is it?  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loose_leaf "Loose leaf" describes any kind of paper or book that is available in single sheets, unbound. Its "leaves", or sheets, are "loose" and not bound in notebook or book form. However, it seems "loose leaf" in the USA (and this entry) refers most specifically to a lined and punched paper, or ruled paper, a school supply also known as "binder paper" that can be sorted in a loose leaf binder. This may be a typical 3 ring binder but "loose leaves" of other types can also go in a date book, address book or artist's portfolio, additionally there are also loose leaf textbooks. Now that's boring - but we all know Kayley never leaves home without it.   So what power does the loose-leaf binder yield, and why?   In my experience yes.  I realized tonight when I saw Fox News and the BIG BINDER, why Kayley thinks this tactic works. This is a true story of how 3 loose-leaf binders and 2 poster boards settle a lawsuit, without ever being opened.   Side Sleeper Pro Commercial Copyright All-Star Marketing Group WendiCooper.com WendiCooper@mac.com - I'd love to hear from you! WEIGHTLOSS APPS, DO YOU USE ONE? Why do I think that weight loss apps should be banned?   We all know that we are what we eat.  If you eat too much, you'll get fat.  If you don't exercise you'll be unhealthy.  It's a vicious circle in most people's lives. But do you really need to share even more intimate information with a company that you are paying to collect data on you so they can sell it for billions down the road?  That's their end game.  When all along all you needed to do was count your calories, get 15 minutes of education on how the body functions, and a little knowledge about calories in carbs, fats, and proteins.   It's pretty simple.  You don't need to pay an app to be accountable.   Use a notebook, clean out your cupboards, stop eating white food, and thrive. MARKETING MOJO MATTERS - LOVE IT OR HATE IT  Most of the time, in my professional experience, people think that marketing is what you do when you are ready to collect money for the person, product, place, or thing you are "selling."  You know, to get clicks, likes, and leads.  That can be a small part of the strategy, but "marketing" begins at conception. How can marketing begin at conception?  After all, it's just an idea, or a gadget made in the garage, or a new coaching service.  IDK. It doesn't matter, planning for marketing before you take the next step in development because that type of research will give you an indicator of how much money it will take to float to the top and turn actions into transactions.  Marketing starts at conception. Don't make the mistake of thinking a brand is a logo.  A brand isn't the logo, it's the ethos.   "Why you do what you do and who it will benefit.  How are you making the world a better place?"    Developing the culture of the brand will lead to the right creative, logo, color palette, font, and visual statement.  It begins with the concept and now becomes the story you tell. Marketing is like an octopus, there are many tentacles that must work synergistically together, when they do it's magical.  But that doesn't happen very often because most people do not start marketing at conception.
