****This interview was recorded prior to the Broadway Shutdown due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The show is currently on hiatus until the quarantine is lifted**** On this episode of Baring It All with Call Me Adam, on the Broadway Podcast Network, I am chatting with the cast & creative team of the fun hit Off-Broadway show A Musical About Star Wars: Tom D'Angora (Concept/Co-Book Writer), Taylor Crousore (Co-Book Writer, Cast, plays "Taylor") and Scott Richard Foster (Co-Book Writer, Cast, plays "Scott"). A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away… A Staten Island Blockbuster Video to be exact… Two stars wars fanatics, Scott and Taylor, write the most epic Star Wars musical ever! On their endless quest to perform it at Comic Con - a certain restraining order, that we won’t mention, stands in their way - they have opted to perform it on the glamorous Off-Broadway stages instead! However, dark forces are looming over their production, and her name is Emily. A Musical About Star Wars plays at St. Luke's Theatre (308 West 46th Street). Click here for tickets! He earned his BFA from Indiana University and is currently sitting at home with his dogs in self quarantine while you read this. More on Scott Richard Foster: Most recently seen in Clint Black's Looking For Christmas at Jabba's Palace at the Old Globe in San Diego, Scott is glad to be back working in the temperate climate of Coruscant. Broadway credits include Gettin' The Band Back Together, and Brooklyn The Musical. Off-Broadway Credits include NEWSical, Forbidden Broadway (2 editions), Power Ballads and Scott was set to star opposite TK-421 in True West but he never showed up on opening night. What was it like to be on the set and in the world of Return of the Jedi? Sean Crawford and Tim Dry began their careers as mimes and musicians, playing with some of the most iconic bands during the UK's New Romantics club scene. Their day job consisted of filming scenes in Jabba's Palace and in space with Admiral Ackbar in one of the most famous movies of all time. Sean portrayed the infamous Yak Face, most notable for being the final figure produced by Kenner for the original vintage Star Wars trilogy toy line. Tim was the monstrous J'Quille, known during production as "Tooth Face." And they both played Mon Calamari officers later in the film. But their story is an incredible one, anchored by a friendship that has spanned the length of the Star Wars franchise itself. And now they are stewards of the Star Wars legacy, as they regularly appear at conventions to sign autographs and pose for photos with fans, and to share the stories of their time in a galaxy, far, far away. Join host David Quinn for a conversation with Sean and Tim at Michael Havens' ICCC sci-fi convention in Nashville, Tennessee in September. Sean and Tim offer a funny, candid and heartfelt reflection on their lives together as friends, actors and musicians, and what the Star Wars franchise means to each of them. Modern prototype guru Anthony Pagano surprises Sean with a look at the earliest modern Yak Face preproduction piece, and Sean shares his love for collecting all things Yak Face. Thanks to Anthony "Obi-Wan" Pagano and Jason "TK-Sparrow" Cain for taking part in the interview. And thank you to Michael Havens, for giving Star Wars fans a place to connect with those who lived the movies. And a sincere and joyful thank you to Sean Crawford and Tim Dry for spending almost an hour with us, and for blessing us with a wonderful memory from a weekend in Nashville. Sean and Tim, Tik and Tok, Yak Face and Tooth Face--we are honored to call you friends.

In the wake of Force Friday, which saw thousands of people going bonkers for toys for a film which isn't even out for three months, Matt and Ed take stock of Star Wars as a long-running franchise, a cultural monolith, and as significant part of their own personal development as film fans. Along the way, Matt discusses the justly forgotten Matthew Weiner movie Are You Here, Ed describes one of the most enjoyably crazy Star Wars Expanded Universe stories (it involves Jabba's Palace and disembodied brains!), and they workshop an ending to the pending Michael Winterbottom-directed Roger Ebert/Russ Meyer movie. They also pay tribute to Wes Craven, talk about how good Idris Elba would be as James Bond, and drop some deep Simpsons references throughout.
