The first two episodes of Bad Batch Season 2 feel like a bit of a regression from the strong ending we experienced in Season 1. The stakes are low, the world building is present but not a central focus, and there is little in the way of interesting character progression. The Bad Batch 202 "Ruins Of War" Synopsis Series Created by: Jennifer Corbett, Dave Filoni, Brad Rau Episode Written by: Gina Lucita Monreal Story Editor: Matt Michnovetz Episode Directed By: Nathaniel Villanueva As the container with Tech, Echo and Omega hurtles to the ground the reentry thrusters kick in just in time landing the trio precariously on the side of a cliff. In the fall Tech fractures his leg and Omega and Echo have to leave behind the contents of Count Dooku's war chest to get him to safety. With the help of Romar Adell, a native of the planet Serenno, they hide out while waiting for the rest of the Bad Batch to recover them. As Wrecker and Hunter improvise a cannon to battle their way back to their ship The Marauder, Omega makes another attempt to raid the war chest. She fails but Romar convinces her that the cursed treasure won't make her happy and The Bad Batch escape Serenno empty handed but alive. Back on the planets surface Vice Admiral Rampart confronts clone Captain Wilco over his report that Clone Force 99 were behind the attack. To cover his tracks, and avoid Grand Moff Tarkin's wrath, Rampart kills the Captain and removes all trace of the Bad Batch from the official report to the Empire. The Bad Batch 201"Ruins Of War" Synopsis Series Created by: Jennifer Corbett, Dave Filoni, Brad Rau Episode Written by: Jennifer Corbett Story Editor: Matt Michnovetz Episode Directed By: Steward Lee The Bad Batch narrowly escape from a Mission on the Vonduun carnivorous crab infested planet of Zav Alox and return to Cid on Ord Mantell. There they meet the pirate Phee who has just provided intel on a big score on Count Dooku's home planet of Serenno. Cid convinces the reluctant Hunter that this could be the score they need for the Bad Batch to be truly free. On the way to Serenno Echo challenges Hunter on his unwillingness to approach Empire controlled planets. Omega overhears Echo telling Hunter that saving her from Kamino means their lives will never be safe but this score could provide the resources to save many more. On Serenno the team encounters a battalion of Clone Troopers who have already taken two thirds of Count Dooku's sizable war chest. While Echo, Tech and Omega get trapped inside a transport container in flight, Wrecker and Hunter are pinned down by the troopers in Dooku's former palace. Hunter discovers a way out of the palace and Omega realises the container will launch reentry thrusters if it's dropped from the sky. S3E7 - Assassin 3:48Tasked to protect Senator Padmé Amidala during a political mission to Alderaan, Padawan Ahsoka Tano is plagued by recurring visions of recently-deceased bounty hunter, Aurra Sing. Unable to clear her mind, Ahsoka worries that the stress of conflict is finally getting to her until her visions indeed prove prophetic. Padmé narrowly avoids death when Aurra Sing attempts to assassinate her. Together, Padmé and Ahsoka trap the hunter, and Ahsoka discovers the true villain behind the plot to kill Padmé: the incarcerated gangster, Ziro the Hutt.S3E8 - Evil Plans 10:42In the middle of a routine shopping trip on Coruscant, C-3PO is abducted by the bounty hunter Cad Bane. Bane is looking for information about the Senate building on behalf of Jabba the Hutt. Finding C-3PO devoid of useful information, Bane and his accomplices kidnap R2-D2 and extract the vital data, before memory-wiping the droids of the incident, and letting them on their way. S3E9 - Hunt for Ziro 16:37Cad Bane has broken Ziro the Hutt out of prison. The Hutt Council demands that Ziro tell them where he's hidden vital -- and incriminating -- information: a journal detailing the criminal activities of the Hutt families. Ziro makes another daring escape with the help of his estranged (and strange) lover, Sy Snootles. Bane is back on the Hutt's trail -- but he's not the only one. The Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Quinlan Vos need to find him too. A chase through the swamps of Nal Hutta leads the pursuers to Ziro's enormous mother, Mama the Hutt, who points them to Teth. It is here, in the secret grave of Ziro's father, that the fugitive Hutt has hidden the diary. When he retrieves it, Snooty reveals her true spots. S3E10 - Heroes on Both Sides 21:42When the Senate begins debating a bill that would eliminate government oversight of the Banking Clan's activities in order to fund the war, Padmé and Ahsoka travel in secret to the capital of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Amidala attempts to forge a peace agreement with the Separatists, while Ahsoka sees, for the first time, the people of the Confederacy. Padmé's friend, Mina Bonteri, spearheads the peace initiative, and convinces the Separatist Congress to sue for peace. Meanwhile, on Coruscant, Senators Lott Dod and Gume Saam conspire with Banking Clan representative Nix Card and Count Dooku to make the banking deregulation a reality. At Dooku's command, General Grievous engineers an attack at the central power distribution grid on Coruscant, carried out by Separatist demolition droids. S3E11 - Pursuit of Peace 35:14Padmé, Bail Organa and Onaconda Farr attempt to rally Senators in opposition to a bill that would appropriate funds for millions of new clone troops and have disastrous financial consequences for the Republic. Their opposition to the measure, however, soon makes them targets for intimidation and attacks by hired guns. After escaping two hired thugs -- Chata Hyoki and Robonino -- in a harrowing speeder bike chase, Padmé is able to sway the Senate with a stirring account of how the war has affected an everyday civilian, her handmaiden Teckla Minnau.S3E12 - Nightsisters 41:07Troubled by Asajj Ventress' growing prowess with the dark side of the Force, Darth Sidious commands Count Dooku to eliminate her. But Ventress survives Dooku's assassination attempt, and the jilted former apprentice vows to take revenge, enlisting the aid of her kinswomen -- the mystical Nightsisters -- in her sinister scheme. Mother Talzin, leader of the Nightsisters, veils Asajj and her fellow assassins in a cloak of invisibility, and they infiltrate Dooku's palace on Serenno. Though they fail to kill the Count, their use of captured Jedi lightsabers leads Dooku to mistakenly believe that the Jedi have tried to kill him. Interested in protection, he requests a new apprentice from Mother Talzin.

This week brings the first of many in the “Age Of…” series; Count Dooku! Along with the comic itself, Mike delves into Dooku’s life including his time as a Jedi, his family life on Serenno, why he has the title of count, why he left the order, what “The Lost Twenty” are and more! Age Of Republic Count Dooku 1 was written by Jody Houser, the artist is Luke Ross and the colourist is Java Tartaglia. This comic was released February 2019, the villains trade paperback collection was released May 2019 and the Age Of Republic hardcover including all heroes & villains was released in February 2020. Old Friends, Not Forgotten Review The majority of the show is dedicated to the best episode of Star Wars animation ever, "Old Friends, Not Forgotten". We talk what makes this episode so special. The cinematic feel, the music, the heart, the emotion, the connections with Revenge of The Sith. All of it. We complete our Cavan Scott two-week duology with a review of Dooku Jedi Lost. Covering the little-explored territory of a pre-Phantom Menace Republic and Jedi Order, we learn a ton about the future leader of the Separatists and Dark Lord of the Sith, Dooku of Serenno. The audio-only novel covers three distinct time periods: from his years as a youngling in the temple to his formative years as an initiate and padawan under Grand Master Yoda, and finally to his later years as a Knight and Master. We discuss why Serenno is like Westeros, why Dooku ultimately falls from the light, and how Dooku and friends created much of the prophecy and Dark Side obsession we see in the prequel trilogy. It’s a fascinating episode of a great piece of canon drama on this week’s show!

Born into a noble family on the planet Serenno, he was the heir to vast wealth and the noble title of Count. Dooku was taken by the Jedi Order as a child and apprenticed to Thame Cerulian. As a Jedi Knight, he took Qui-Gon Jinn as his first Padawan, and later trained Komari Vosa. Dooku was a respected instructor in the Jedi Temple and one of the most renowned swordsmen in the galaxy, on par only with Masters Yoda and Mace Windu.RIP Christopher Lee
