This week the guys take a look at some potential SAF Training Camp Battles that everyone should be paying close attention to. IDP Nation EP #201 DT Chris Jones of the Kansas City Chiefs didn't report to camp and begins holdout. The last report is negotiations are far apart SAF Budda Baker of the Arizona Cardinals is expected to report to camp despite contract negotiations Green Bay Packers placed EDGE Rashan Gary on the PUP list. The organization has until cutdowns to remove him or he'll miss the first four weeks of the season Free Agent CB Marcus Peters signed with the Las Vegas Raiders Free agent LB Kyle Van Noy is visiting the Baltimore Ravens this week The Jacksonville Jaguars are signing veteran DT Duwanne Smoot to a one-year deal The Tennessee Titans & SAF Kevin Byard agreed to a restructured contract Detroit Lions Safety CJ Gardner-Johnson was carted off after a non-contact knee injury. Update: No structural damage and is considered day-to-day. San Francisco 49ers DE Nick Bosa is not expected to attend training camp until contract negotiations get done Minnesota Viking DE Danielle Hunter is at camp but is not expected to practice until his contract is resolved The Seattle Seahawks signed OLB Uchenna Nwosu to a 3-year $59m deal Miami Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey suffers a meniscus injury during practice and will undergo surgery. Expected to miss 6-8 weeks. Training Camp Battles (SAF's) Kansas City Chiefs (Bryan Cook or Mike Edwards) New York Jets (Ashtyn Davis or Adrian Amos) lost Chuck Clark for the season due to an injury Los Angeles Rams (Russ Yeast or Jason Taylor II or Quentin Lake) New England Patriots (Adrian Phillips & Kyle Dugger are starters) with (Jabril Peppers & Jalen Mills as backups) Green Bay (Rudy Ford or Jonathan Owens) Cincinnati Bengals (Nick Scott or Jordan Battle) Detroit Lions (CJ Gardner-Johnson, Brian Branch, Tracy Walker, or Kerby Joseph) Los Angeles Chargers (Alohi Gilman or JT Woods) Carolina Panthers (Jeremy Chinn, Vonn Bell, Xavier Woods, Eric Rowe) Reddit u/RandomPhillyGuy Which Detroit Lions SAF would you want for this season? Reddit u/Maximum-Examination1 I think it's too early to see the 3rd thru 5 round rookies that beat out incumbent starters. I like NE Marte Mapu. Brian Branch of the Lions' 1st safety is probably high. Jammie Robinson if Jeremy Chinn is more big Nickel or both see the field. Chris Smith LVR. Antonio Johnson if he can beat Rashawn Jennings and love Andre Cisco. Sydney Brown Eagles lost the secondary player's 2nd safety was probably high. Camarillo Cornee on KC if good news teams got to play catchup. Brandon Hill if he wins Texans suck. It's more about reading camp news. Looking for nickel safety players to see the field? Facebook u/Andrew I'm curious about whether you should be getting any New York Giants linebackers not named Bobby Okereke. I believe that because the Giants are investing so little into the inside linebacker position and they might give Xavier McKinney the green dot, he's one of the top safeties to pick up. I'll take your thoughts on that. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/darrell-winstead/support

Joe and Dane open the second hour of the show talking about how it was a bad day for the Giants PR firm, citing how they never mentioned how they acquired Jabril Peppers and their draft picks on social media. Joe and Dane go on to talk about why the Giants, as well as the Steelers, will be okay without their top wide receivers in Odell and AB, respectively, as they agree it takes great ownership and stability, not a diva wide receiver. The guys look at Le'Veon Bell's fantasy value now that he is with the Jets, and Dane explains that he is still a work horse running back, something you look for in the first few rounds of fantasy drafts. After a brief stint with the Cleveland Browns, wide out Ronnie Moore is now healthy and ready! During his limited time in Cleveland rookie camp, wide receiver Ronnie Moore developed a fast rapport with quarterback DeShone Kizer. He proved to be a quick study but then an unfortunate injury occured when a hit by Browns safety Jabril Peppers resulted in the separation of his A/C joint. Moore has since been rehabbing at D1 Sports in Orlando and training with Paxton Lynch under the supervision of NFL Trainer Tyrone Davis. Praised for his crisp route-running during his week of practice at the College Gridiron Showcase, Moore is now 100% healthy and ready to see the field. The 5'9, 172-pound slot receiver finished his Bowling Green career with over 190 career receptions and 20-plus touchdowns. It's a Draft Edition of the Next Fan Up podcast this week as PodVader flies solo and interviews Scott Wright of DraftCountdown.com (@draftcountdown on Twitter). As they begin their discussion about the prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft, the topic of underclassmen in the draft comes up. Scott feels a guy like Noah Brown, WR from Ohio State, might be a little early for the draft but a team could get a guy who compares with Martavious Bryant, WR for the Steelers, in the mid rounds. A rare position to see at the top of rankings is RB, but Leonard Fournette, RB from LSU, is a special player and is ranked only behind Myles Garrett, the edge rusher from Texas A&M. The guys jump into talking about the QB position and how the prospects at the most important position in all of sports will shake out. Pod notices that Scott has 5 of the top 11 players in this draft all coming from Alabama! It's a poor class for OTs (offensive tackles) but their are some good OGs (offensive guards...but Pod says there can never be a bad OG - old guy). Pod asks some questions about Jabril Peppers and Chad Kelly. They wrap up their conversation talking about the concept of "over-paying for a franchise QB".
