What if there was a way to do what many have unsuccessfully tried and accomplish many think impossible: to invest in low- economic neighborhoods, benefit the community, and actually make money at the same time? In this case, the idea of making money while doing good isn't about bringing an innovation to market that will solve a universal problem like accessible clean water, or provision of quality health care and education, or economic uplift of living wages with affordable work-force housing. In fact in the case of urban renewal, it is all of those things and more. We are on the threshold, if we do this right, that history will look back on this time as the turning point for an urban renaissance. This is replay of a popular episode from 2020 where I interviewed best selling author Terrence Gallman and we were all excited about the potential for urban renewal as as result of the Opportunity Zone tax exemptions offered in the 2017 tax reform laws. We went on to continue to look for opportunities to uplift those disadvantaged communities that had been left behind in the economic prosperity that has helped so many other communities thrive. That became the GIG opportunity to provide a resource portal of tools for aspiring entrepreneurs and those that want to increase their financial understanding to gain access too. It also is core to the story that will be the redemption story that will be told with the release of No Right Way. The episode wraps with a live chat with Terrence about the current state of affairs and how he has built a coalition of partners committed to the urban renaissance. Stay tuned to hear how you can share in the financial success of GIG. As a child, Taylor Gallman was "a misfit." The brother of 2 intelligent siblings, Taylor had dyslexia and his dad couldn't understand him. After 18 years of tension, Taylor's dad finally told him "I love you, son." God miraculously turns this relationship around and they became the best of friends. This story will inspire you.
Berry Tramel is the most respected media voice regarding the Oklahoma Sooners, and David Teel the same with the Virginia Cavaliers. The two decorated newspaper columnists join the podcast to reflect on Brent Venables becoming the head coach at Oklahoma and Tony Elliott the head coach at Virginia. Tramel developed a relationship with Venables at his first stop in Norman, a 13-year run as a defensive assistant under Bob Stoops. He says one of the most interesting themes will be how Venables makes the adjustment from fire-breathing defensive coordinator to a head-coaching role that demands a more measured and organized approach. In July of 2018, Teel was invited to observe and write about the NCAA Champion Forum, a career development program for accomplished minority assistant coaches. Elliott was among the participants, and it struck Teel then that he had all the makings of a head coach. “There are four categories where I think [student-athletes] have got to have equal development,” Elliott told Teel that day, “and that's their athletics, their academics, their social and the spiritual. You have to create a program that has access to all those areas and have the resources in place.” To illustrate his model, Elliott cited Wayne Gallman, a linebacker he recruited out of Atlanta and converted to running back. Gallman became Clemson's career rushing leader and his family's first college graduate. “He's playing in the NFL,” Elliott said, “and he's equipped with the tools for life to go out and be a champion man beyond the game of football.” Teel says Elliott's biggest challenge will be galvanizing the community and inspiring supporters to do something that hasn't been done in a long time -- consistently fill Scott Stadium.

Meagan Gallman has been a licensed cosmetologist for 14+ years. She is a Custom Color Specialist from Mississippi. The Beauty Industry has always intrigued Meagan, even as a small child. As someone that always knew she would be a part of the greatest industry in the world, being “just a hairdresser” was never an option. That is when her passion to connect with other like-minded stylists began to flourish. During her career, Meagan has become known for her advocacy for continuing education and her passion for teaching others in the industry. Meagan brings at least one newly graduated Cosmetologist into her salon per year and pours education into them as he or she assists with each guest. Her passion for education stemmed early in her career simply because there is plenty of room in our industry for everyone to succeed. Also, being from a small town, extended education opportunities were extremely limited in her area at the beginning of her career. Finding continuing educations were exceedingly difficult and not found locally. Assisting programs were completely nonexistent. She does her absolute best to pour every ounce of information possible into elevating stylists to ensure success for each and every stylist that she meets. Branded as a Sassy Southern Belle, Meagan brings her spicy personality into every custom hair creation for her guests. Known for her unique transformations on her Instagram (@megnaomihair,) she shines in Color Corrections, drastic Color Transformations, and styling. As a salon owner in her hometown and former salon manager in a neighboring city, her drive for business has created an incredible work ethic. Meagan is a Joico Master Artist, Olivia Garden Educator, Salon Owner, and Beauty Launchpad Magazine Education Team Member. In the last few years, Meagan's passion for Color Education has skyrocketed to a new level. Since being hired for Joico in 2017, Meagan has had the opportunities to work alongside and assisted onstage some of the most prestigious names in the beauty industry. And by doing so, she is easily able to share the JOI of Healthy Hair to other stylists eager to learn as well as teaching trending techniques that are friendly to both the novice and seasoned stylists. Meagan has been featured in several beauty magazine publications including, Modern Salon, Armstrong McCall, Sophisticates Hairstyle Guide, Salon Magazine UK, Mississippi Magazine, and received her first cover on Woman Entrepreneur Magazine. She is also a guest writer for multiple beauty publications. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Meagan opened her hair salon in June of 2020 and after being open for only 4 months, Meagan's salon, The Magnolia Parlor was voted Best Hair Salon in Mississippi for 2021. Although no one was surprised that Meagan decided to pursue a career in the beauty industry, many were not supportive. In fact, many people were very discouraging, and it is for that reason that Meagan has been quoted in saying, “You can't live your life dwelling on the past based on the cards you were dealt before. Suck it up, create your own luck, and then proudly present your Royal Flush.” meagangallman@gmail.com

A good day for FanDuel and a tough duel for Jen’s Cowboys with Jerry’s Giants. He tweets Fly Eagles Fly, rants about Leonard Williams and explains how Gallman may have “clenched” the NFC East. Are Cowboys fans just like Jets fans…it’s Jen vs Jerry: Trading Places Edition. NFC East is the Festival of Losers. Talking more Playoff Pool and a little less Chase Claypool. Are the Bills the best sports team in NY? Was that the Coach of the Year Bowl? Rodgers must be MVP. Jerry compares Cowboy fans to Jet fans and he would happily, shamelessly stumble into an NFC East title. First blush pick for Super Bowl. The night the ball dropped and the The Office stopped and why NYE is best spent with Time Life music rather than Times Square. @JerryFerrara @JenPiacenti

Keith and Joe are back coming off arguably their best week of the season. Keith was right on Maholmes, James White, Jefferson, Kelce, and called Eifert's Td/10 point game at $2500. Not to mention maybe the play of the year telling people to spend the money on Hill @7800 who scored 60 freaking points. Joe was on point at running back with Chubb, Robinson and Gallman. He also had Jefferson, Hooper and The Saints D. The guys once again this week give a expensive tier, middle tier, and bargain tier pick at each position using Draftkings salaries.

Week 4 has been ... interesting. After a bunch of random, waiver-wire-fodder players scored, many matchups that looked like they’d be easy wins for the favorites went down to the wire, including the game between the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs. Not only did the Lions defense surprise in holding Patrick Mahomes to no touchdowns, but Detroit’s fantasy assets showed out as well. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon break that game down and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast, starting with the Cleveland Browns offensive resurgence against the Baltimore Ravens (1:00).Matthew Stafford, Kerryon Johnson, Kenny Golladay, and T.J. Hockenson all had great days in a losing effort for the Detroit but Liz and Matt ask, should we be paying the Lions more respect (7:00)?Elsewhere in the NFL, Wayne Gallman lived up to many fantasy owners' hopes and dreams as Saquon Barkley's replacement (11:55). Gallman was the clear lead back for the Giants on a day that Daniel Jones was not at his best, and is expected to be just that as long as Saquon Barkley remains out. Speaking of that Giants game, Dwayne Haskins finally made his NFL debut in a plus matchup ... and it wasn’t great. Our experts debate whether he’s worth a stash in fantasy.Speaking of quarterbacks, Jacoby Brissett has now delivered back-to-back high-scoring fantasy weeks (20:15). The question Liz and Matt aim to answer is: Do we consider Brissett a QB1 going forward?Liz and Matt would be remiss if they didn’t address the fact that DeAndre Hopkins has now gone three consecutive weeks with quiet outputs after his Week 1 explosion. What do we make if it? Our experts discuss the Houston receiver and the Texans' receiver corps without Kenny Stills (26:40).Gotta talk about the Rams-Buccaneers game, which was not only the highest-scoring game of the season so far, it’s the highest-scoring game in Tampa Bay history. Our experts break down that game and all the action that took place (33:30). They wrap up with the exciting Thursday night game between the Packers and Eagles marvel at the Green Bay offense that is putting up points but doesn't seem to have it all together yet (36:50).Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
On this episode, Lamb & Danny are talking about their favorite plays they're targeting in the main slate for week 4! Two biggest questions on the slate is what are you going to do with Gallman Jr (4:30) & Mahomes indoors is it the optimal play & Quarterback plays. Daniel Jones vs Russ, Is this the last time we play Stafford with confidence (7:30) Running backs (19:45) Is there merit to fading Gallman for somebody else in this price range at RB, Who to spend up at the RB position, Last week we can jam in Ekeler with the news of MelGo coming back, Lenny Week?!, Wide Receivers/Tight Ends (32:30) Will Fuller For the Money! Redskins WR’s to target off a MNF discount, Who else in the sub 5k Range are we targeting, Lions WR has a monster game, Do we finally have the Rams WR we favor over everyone else, Dissly chalk week but do we play him anyway, A bet on talent for one TE, Who do you like between Engram/Waller & is Kelce a GPP HR play? Adam and Andy charge full steam ahead on episode 2 of the One GIANT Podcast! "Danny Dimes" justifies the 6th overall selection bringing the Giants back from trailing 28-10 half time, but when was the last time Andy got this excited about a Giant game? Lets talk a little nostalgia with help from the radio voice of the New York Football Giants, Bob Papa! It was not just the offense though, several young players had in impact on the defensive side of the ball and the guys dive in on some optimism as they look ahead to a week for match up against division rival Washington. No rookie QB in site for the Redskins, and that means another chance for this defense to flex its muscles and get after Case Keenum. Not without weapons, Washington will be missing several key starters that could spell win number two for Big Blue. We all know Barkley will be out, how will this impact Daniel Jones and the offense? Will the Giants bring in a veteran to help Gallman and Penny carry the load? Despite these set backs Adam and And y are riding pretty high with big expectations come Sunday! on instagram and twitter: @oneGIANTpodcast and be sure to like and subscribe on Spotify as we continue our platform roll out! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/onegiantpodcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/onegiantpodcast/support

How Anwar is coping with losing by a decimal point! He has the best team in the league! As of Week 3! Should he start Gallman and much more!
Fill-in quarterbacks rule in Week 3 In Week 3, fantasy owners saw the emergence of fill-in quarterbacks. The Week three takeaways start with the quarterback that made the most significant buzz, in New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. All Daniel Jones did in his first NFL start is to lead the Giants in a comeback victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jones threw for 336 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two more scores. The Carolina Panthers were forced to turn to Kyle Allen after Cam Newton reaggravated a foot sprain that he initially suffered in the preseason. Kyle Allen stepped up and threw for four touchdowns in the Panthers 38-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Unfortunately, not all of the replacement quarterbacks fair well in Week 3. The Fantasy Fixers explain what they saw with Mason Rudolph taking over for Ben Roethlisberger but lose to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Additionally, Luke Falk and the New York Jets were embarrassed by the New England Patriots. The Week 3 Winners and Losers The Fantasy Fixers analyze Week 3 and explain why quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Kyle Allen are winners along with another surprising quarterback. Find out which running backs are winners as the Fantasy Fixers take a look at two running backs that fantasy owners should consider winners in Week 3. There is a running back that suffers as a loser in Week 3 due to his teammates' success. A rookie tight end is a loser in Week 3 after consecutive poor outings after a breakout performance in his debut. Another big loser in Week 3 is the Cleveland Browns offense. The Browns were missing eight players and went toe-to-toe with the NFC Champions Los Angeles Rams in the Sunday Night Matchup. However, they suffered a loss due to horrendous play-calling at the end of the game, and Baker Mayfield is not playing to the level we witnessed last season. Pick Up City The New York Giants are celebrated their big win on Sunday. However, they also received terrible news that their franchise running back Saquon Barkley suffered a high-ankle sprain and will be out four-to-eight weeks. Barkley owners will need to look to the waiver wire to help their fantasy rosters. The most logical replacement for Barkley on fantasy rosters is his replacement, Wayne Gallman. The Fantasy Fixers believe that initially, Gallman will get the touches and is an excellent addition based on volume alone. The San Francisco 49ers continue to produce productive fantasy running backs, which includes Jeff Wilson. Wilson has consecutive weeks of scoring two touchdowns and is someone fantasy owners should look to pick up this week. New to the show? Should you spend 30% of your FAAB or use your top waiver claim on Wayne Gallman and Phillip Dorsett? Does Daniel Jones have longterm appeal or is he just a Week 4 fill-in? Same question for Will Dissly. We talk a lot about Gallman (4:35) before getting into the Top 3 at each position (13:00) and how much FAAB you should be spending (27:10) this week ... Big news items (30:00) plus a recap of CHI-WAS (32:25) and LAR-CLE (36:50). Are Tarik Cohen and Baker Mayfield droppable? How legit is Terry McLaurin? Then we've got the Dropometer (42:00) featuring Will Fuller, Latavius Murray and more ... Waiver Wire QBs (44:00) including Case Keenum and Kyle Allen, RBs (47:50) including Ronald Jones and Rex Burkhead, WRs (52:30) including Dorsett and Mecole Hardman, TEs (57:25) including Dissly and Jason Witten. Well, well, well, look liked I predicted the score wrong, I thought the Giants would be the ones down 21-0 because Pat Clueless Shurmur would not be running #SaquonTheSavior enough in the first half and Eli would turn the ball over 3 times in the first half that didn't happen because Clueless Shurmur finally used a formula I've been preaching since week 1. Put Engram on slot plays and downfield, put Fowler and Russell Shepard on the field because of their tree tall height, run Saquon, Gallman and the FB was in the offense too and Shep was free and open on lots of plays. Great blocking by Shep. Spread the ball around, run the football it worked. Recaps and defense played good until Kyle Lauletta came in stank up the joint.

Zach and Willys start off one of the shortest episodes in AIB history with a breakdown of the Giants who impressed them in Week 2 of the preseason. They chat about the opportunities presented to Wayne Gallman and Davis Webb, Zach's newfound optimism about Aldrick Rosas, and Willys's newfound optimism (full-stop). They wrap up with winners, losers, and random questions of the week, complete with another experiment in Season 2 signoffs.
Of the three baffoons I believe that drafting Odell, Engram, Shep, Gallman, Dalvin Tomlinson, Jerrell Adams, Reese should be given one more year however he fucked up on the Andrew Wentworth deal, Hankins & cutting Cruz as well as others, however Jerry Reese got Mcafool & Eli enough weapons on offense 4 TEs & a FBto score points. Eli is playing so shitty he don't throw enough to the Tes or why has Vereen not used in the passing game. Darkwa runs the ball & Mcafool stops running the ball when it's working. NYGs are abusing Evan Engram.
