We are in a bit of a remote, wooded double feature today for Dan's tales. The first of two stories is composed out of what may have been a hermit's final diary entries, as a man living alone in a remote cabin writes of something terrorizing him.   Then we hear the legend of the Dungarvon Whooper, a folklore coming from an old logging camp in New Brunswick, Canada. Then Lynze gives us a life long but seemingly harmless attachment. Or is it? What's happening to this person? We start with a very upsetting story of an imaginary friend in Council Bluffs, Iowa that Dan does an amazing job of bringing to life. Then, in his second tale of the week Dan takes us to Tujunga Canyon for a very bizarre UFO encounter. For the first of two tales, Dan takes us to the old mining city of Ballarat , Australia, to explore reports of hauntings from the 19th century, and some even stranger reports of some ghost hoaxers. Such an entertaining story! Then,  a supposedly true modern encounter tale of someone who might give you something new to worry about. When you think of deceased relatives and other spirits always being near and watching over you, do you ever wonder how much of your life they actually see? Lynze offers us three tales this week. Her first is not that scary but a super fun mystery that has paranormal elements. Then, a big sister encourages her younger sister to make friends with the person in the mirror. What could go wrong? Dan starts this week with a very bizarre story. It's hard to even explain but we are off to Finland to review a tale about a sculpture garden. Then we head to Saudi Arabia to explore the lore around Bride of the Red Sea. Lynze really goes for it this week with five stories! They are short and quite varied. Her first two deal with family members sticking around after their deaths in very small, kind but still eery ways. Then, because it's March, she offers us a little Leprechaun tale. Then, we hear a tale of poltergeist activity not surrounding an angsty teen, which feels new. Dan offers three stories this week. The first is of Scotland's Redcap, a monstrous and murderous little goblin of a creature with lore going back to the 14th century. Next, we'll head to Serbia and talk about the horror lore behind the strange rock formations of Devil's Town. And finally, we'll explore the lore surrounding what might be early America's most famous haunting, the Wizard Clip. Lynze also has three stories this week, so fun! She starts with a story from Louisiana, exploring the space between us and the veil. Then, we go to Colorado for a mimic tale. Dan's first of two stories is centered around a school nurse who claims her encounter literally ended her career. It's very intense, and not fun to think that what she claims to have witnessed could be real.  For his second story, Dan will share the haunted lore of South Carolina's Oakwood Cemetery,  and an encounter that took place there. Lynze gives us two spoopy tales and one heart-warming story of confirmation. Her first story takes out to the woods where a bunch of kids party with the unknown. Then, someone is joined in bed by a not-so-comforting visitor. The first tale this week is the disturbing story of an exorcism that took place in a small town in Australia in 1993. It is upsetting on so many levels. Then Dan shares the lore and modern encounters surrounding the abandoned Manteno  State Hospital south of Chicago. Real life horror, and paranormal horror. Lynze shares one of the best and strangest ouija board fan tales ever! Dan's first of two stories today is not sexy, despite being about a succubus. It's strange and upsetting.  His second story was once featured on  the original Unsolved Mysteries. It's the tale of a young woman, Grace Brown, putting her trust in the wrong man over a century ago.  And it seems, in death, she still hasn't been able to move past how her life so tragically and abruptly ended. This week begins with the anonymous claim of a man who believes he encountered something evil… something not human… while out delivering pizzas late on a Friday night. Did something order a meal to be delivered to them, and was that meal supposed to have been the person bringing the pizza instead of the pizza? Then, Dan covers the infamous Moberly-Jourdain  Incident.  Back in 1901, did two noted academics, Charlotte Ann Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain, slip over a hundred years out of their own time for several minutes while on a trip to France ?  It's a very thought-provoking and creepy tale. Dan has two very different tales this week. His first story shares a dark history of a woman who killed many, many people including her own children. Despite being gone from this earth for an incredibly long period of time, is it possible she still has more killing to do? Then we head to Mexico City where we explore a possible demonic possession that went incredibly wrong for someone who was only trying to help. Lynze's first story this week seems pretty straightforward but a few special details make it so creepy and unsettling. Dan's stories at not Thanksgiving related, but one does center around a family get together: a funeral. Dan's first story is  weird. We had a hard time tracking it and understanding it  so if you have trouble too - don't worry. We'll talk afterwards and clear up any confusion. Then, we'll visit what sure seems to be a powerfully and malevolently haunted former seminary room in Maynooth in County Kildare, Ireland. A haunting that reads like the basis for a really good horror movie. Then, Lynze shares an interesting haunted apartment story where a family lives in two separate apartments in the same building that both seem to be plagued by the same "something". What is it? Where does it stem from? Then, lastly, a creepy mimmic tale. Or is it? Four very different and very interesting tales this week! Dan kicks us off with a story  somewhere in west Texas that centers around some Black Eyed Children. MAYBE. If not BEK, than what? Then, a second story that is set in two different locations in South Carolina, that both claim to be haunted, and both share the same name: The Rose Hill Plantation.  Lynze has two very unique tales this week. Her first explores vulture culture briefly and lost time and space amongst friends. What kind of chaos can you expect when exploring dead carcasses? Dan's  first story  revolves around a Realtor trying and failing to sell a property that seems to clearly have something supernaturally wrong with it.  Then is off to Eastern Canada, between Montreal and Toronto. Two young men head out to go camping and see more than they bargained for. One of them swears off camping forever as a result! Lynze crushes this week with two tales! Her first is a classic haunted New Orleans hotel story. What could be more spoopy that that? Then, a ouija board tale like none we have ever told. Dan starts with an alleged anonymous modern encounter involving a man hearing a girl's voice as a child - a voice asking him to wake up, and a voice that keeps asking this for many, many years - well into adulthood. And then finally, something very strange happens that leaves him feeling certain that this voice did not just belong. Then, a tale that is about the mysterious and troubling disappearance of a young man who disappeared in the Idaho wilderness, not far from where Dan grew up, back in 2018.  Lynze takes us back to our childhoods with a creepy game of hide and seek. Dan's first tale he is telling is about an anonymous woman allegedly encountering something terrifying in a stairwell. Then, in his second storey,  we learn about an allegedly cursed painting, The Crying Boy, produced by Italian artist Giovanni Bragolin. This painting was mass produced, and an alarming number of homes where prints of this painting have been displayed have burned down over the years. Yet the print itself almost never burns with them. Coincidence? Let's dig in. Lynze has some awesome fan submitted horror this week! The first is a classic road trip story that has a young couple spending the night in a creepy motel. Dan has one really big tale that is beyond captivating and unsettling. It's hard to say more without ruining the story. Then, Lynze brings us three stories this week. Dan crushes this week with one giant tale out of Alaska and a smaller tale from Spain! Dan shares two stories. The first one is a big one. We'll visit the Gunter Hotel in San Antonio, Texas.
