In the photography world my Nikon people were so frustrated and mad the Nikon Z9 was not going to be in until October of 2022. What a rumor that was because now other statements being rumored out there more Nikon Z9 will be shipped out there in mid-January. Now granted we don't know if we will get any in the United States, Maybe, maybe not who knows. I just got notification by Adorama apologizing for the delay, but I am holding strong still. I have faith it will come through and by then who know I will most likely have some bills paid already and be able to put a good down payment on that. All of us must understand that this isn't just Nikon its everyone else out there Sony, Fuji, Canon, everyone is hurting to get products such as game consoles and new tech. I read something today on Facebook or meta whatever you want to call it. People are selling these cameras for 12,000.00 dollars you heard right. 12k. Jared Polin said the same thing about that. Prices are the roof I can't with people. History repeating itself with the game consoles. We must be better with this. Just wait I know I know it sucks whether it is Nikon or Sony or Canon or others please be patient. Watch as I say this someone pre orders their camera tomorrow and get theirs next week ill be sooo hot with that. I will be like what??? This lens is extremely significant, not only being better than the competition optically and mechanically, but it also represents what Sony has been striving for with mirrorless cameras providing the best in class system for sports and wildlife photography. Sony contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if I'd like to come to New Jersey to photograph soccer. I jumped at the opportunity to photograph the New York Red Bulls play FC Dallas. So the USA did not make it far in the World Cup, but this shows us what the possibilities that the future holds - not only for the World Cup but also for photography. I was very fortunate to be invited to the Sony A73 press event in Las Vegas. This was the first time I was invited and I was absolutely humbled to be there. Of course the big announcement was the Sony A73 and as a press member I got to borrow a pre-production camera for the next 3 days.
