It's that most wonderful time of the year and if that wonderful time of the year's special month happens to have it's 13th day fall upon a Friday and that means we might be living in an apocalypse. It also means that it's time to finish up what we started on last September's 13th and talk about the last 6 films, to date, of the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise. Yes, we do call them “films”. Yes, they're mostly horrible. So let's go wrap up Jason's journey which takes him from Crystal Lake to Manhattan, Hell, Dreamworld and outer space 400 years from now. Our six pack episodes tend to pad out our D & F tiers and this one is no exception. I believe Bob states that one of the worst movies discussed yet is in this block. It never gets better with these things. Strap in because we're talking seven minutes at a time about such cult slasher classics as the brutal “FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VII: THE NEW BLOOD” from 1988, the ridiculous “FRIDAY THE PART VIII: JASON TAKES MANHATTAN” from 1989, the insanity of “JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY” from 1993, the cheesy “JASON X” from 2001, the enjoyable “FREDDY VS. JASON” from 2003 and the surprisingly ok (is it reboot or remake?) “FRIDAY THE 13TH” from 2009 by Marc NIspel. You can hardly imagine how many people Jason has killed over the course of these movies. The online estimation clears 150 total. Rest in Peace, Jason Voorhees. We liked you and your mom but after you've had Pumpkinhead in your life it's just hard to think of any other slasher. Once upon a time in the early Nineties, New Line Cinema had the rights to both Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees... and they proceeded to kill them off before pitting them against each other for the first time! MONSTER PARTY GIVES PASADENA ANOTHER CASE OF THE CREEPS! BUT NOT IN A CREEPY WAY. JAMES GONIS, SHAWN SHERIDAN, LARRY STROTHE, and MATT WEINHOLD, once again descend on the quiet Bavarian village of Pasadena, California, to inflict their own brand of podcast mayhem on an unsuspecting convention center. It's MONSTER PARTY vs.... MONSTERPALOOZA 2024!!! It's no secret that MONSTERPALOOZA is our favorite horror convention, and we always look forward to manning a booth at the show. And just when we thought this festival of frights couldn't get any better... it did! MONSTERPALOOZA 2024 proved to be an off the charts magical experience, and it was our honor to rub elbows with fans/friends, celebrities, industry professionals, artists, cosplayers, dealers, sfx makeup artists, and the usual assortment of die-hard monster kids! This year, we were joined on the mic by such familiar folks as super-fan and should-be film critic, ADAM HULTS, foamfabber genius and MONSTER PARTY benefactor, TED HAINES, artist supreme, MARK TAVARES, celebrated actor and soundtrack journalist, DANIEL SCHWEIGER, award-winning writer/director/producer, FRANK WOODWARD, talented filmmaker, JENNIFER ANNE SCOTT, body painter extraordinaire, PASHUR HOUSE, and his tantalizing model, RUBY LEE, But if that wasn't enough bang for your "Boo!" we also had the pleasure of welcoming some new celebs to our show, including the charming scream queen/final girl from JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY, KARI KEEGAN, and legendary horror host, MR. LOBO! We also were treated to a number of wonderful gifts from our guests, including a round of shots from longtime listener RANDELL PERKINS a.ka. PERKCASSO THE MUNDANE! And we can tell you, there's nothing mundane about the way this dude likes to party! But as much we strive to bring the excitement of MONSTERPALOOZA to your ears, there's no substitute for attending the actual show. So start planning for MONSTERPALOOZA 2025! AND DON'T WORRY, THERE'S EVEN MORE FANG-TASTIC FUN FROM MONSTERPALOOZA 2024 COMING NEXT EPISODE! OH, AND ON PATREON TOO!
It's week three of FRIDAY THE 13TH month on The Blind Rage Podcast and I'm sorry to present…JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY. As a fan himself, Adam Marcus clearly tried to create a sequel Jason fanatics would love. Sadly, this one falls short. In a number of areas. We get a heaping helping of convoluted backstory no one really asked for. Some bizarre body-jumping. The incorporation of THE EVIL DEAD's Necronomicon. Homoerotic shaving. And about 13 minutes of an on-screen Jason Voorhees. On a rare positive note, we get one of the best (and nastiest) kills in the entire franchise. But is that enough to make JASON GOES TO HELL worthwhile? --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/blindragepod/message
Cooper and Nolan are having a hell of a good time this week, as they ring in the new year with JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY! This might be the most confusing of all the Friday the 13th movies, so thank goodness there's a character who knows literally everything that's going on and is more than happy to explain it. But even with exposition taking human form there was plenty for the guys to ponder, like Jason Voorhees' views on unprotected sex, which more successful actor the hero is a poor man's version of, and whether being reborn means getting a brand new body or just your old body back. One thing's for sure - whether you consider this a 90s horror classic or a movie that puts the "camp" back into Camp Crystal Lake, this episode (featuring a beer from Helltown Brewing) is sure to get your heart racing.
Happy Holidays! For tonight's late night conversation, I am filled with joy to welcome to the program writer and director Adam Marcus! You might know Adam from his most famous film "Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday" and we certainly talk alot about that entry in the Friday the 13th franchise...but he is here to chat about one of his most recent projects that you can stream on SCREAMBOX entitled "Secret Santa"! If you are in need of a break from the traditional Holiday movie fare, then I suggest that you check out the insanity that is "Secret Santa"! Adam is a fabulous guest and to talk to him for an hour was certainly a gift to me that I am happy to share with all of you! Thank you for a wonderful 2023!

Matt and Brian along with return guest and Friday the 13th connoisseur Blake Kleiner travel straight to hell by talking about Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday! There is an interesting conversation to be had because unlike Matt and Brian, Blake enjoys the movie for what it is, while Matt and Brian can be pretty savage to it. The trio talk about the weird dialog, all the plot holes that make zero sense, how the director thinks highly of himself and the movie he created, is it the black ooze or the devilish critter that possesses people, how the unrated version is just gross, how the director barely had a movie without reshoots, along with so much more! Hit that play button and let the the Camp Blood Sports begin!

PUBLIC VERSION. In this special 2.5 hour episode (for our Patrons) filmmaker Adam Marcus (JASON GOES TO HELL: The Final Friday, CONSPIRACY, SECRET SANTA, co-writer TEXAS CHAINSAW 2013) joins Adam, Joe, and Arwen in the ArieScope studio for a conversion about his career journey that winds up being one of the very best episodes of this podcast that you'll hear this year. From Adam's childhood growing up around the industry… to the pros and cons of attending NYU… to Adam's personal relationship with Sean and Noel Cunningham and how it lead to him directing JASON GOES TO HELL: The Final Friday at just 23 years old… to the challenging production, the controversial creative decision of having Jason Voorhees body swapping through characters rather than being on screen throughout the run of the film, and the film's legacy that will forever be a permanent part of Adam's life and career… Adam pulls the curtain OFF on not just JASON GOES TO HELL (you'll never see the film the same way again) but on the business of making horror movies in general. Dr. Arwen provides “Hollywood Therapy” for a screenwriter looking for some preparation suggestions before seeking thoughts from trusted readers, opinions are shared on HALLOWEEN KILLS, and the boys reveal who will be opening Yorkiethon 6!

Josh Gets Shaved! Would've been a far more apt title for this movie. Join GC, Jen & J as they power through this franchise and watch 1993s "Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday". All 3 are rather underwhelmed and Jen & GC had a few moments where this movie felt unwatchable. This is gross-out 90s horror at it's peak and Jason Voorhees takes a backseat for almost the entire movie. If you thought Jason X stole from Alien, wait until you see the little demonic worm in this movie! We talk about just how the franchise got here, Tony the Wonder Llama, and all kinds of Crystal Lake townies. After disappointing those looking forward to seeing Jason walk the streets of Manhattan, fans of hell are going to be rather upset as well. instagram.com/franchiseguides twitter.com/FG_HarryPodder franchiseguides@gmail.com thefranchiseguides.buzzsprout.com

Friday the 13th is, without a doubt, one of the most notorious movie series of all time. When it made its initial run in the 80s, the movies not only drew the ire of parent/teacher groups around the world. It also was the red headed stepchild in the eyes of Paramount executives. How did the series develop from its inception all the way to the modern day? That is the question myself, Matthew Goudreau, and Mik Duffy will explore in this podcast series. I normally like to spend this space setting up the podcast you are about to listen to and give a little background on the movies we discuss in said podcast. But the truth is, much like the two films discussed here, this set of reviews is so bug nuts crazy that I am at a loss of words to describe them. So sit back, and listen to us review Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday and Jason X. Oh, and did I mention one of us gives one of these movies a 9/10? Yes, you read that right. Intrigued yet? It's Episode 79-B! Wait. What? Regular listeners will now know that Andy made an arse of the episode numbering after our recent week off. So, to pull things linear again, meet Episode 79-B! Episode 80 arrives next Friday. So! To business then! This week, we are delighted to be joined by the director of Frightfest Presents title SECRET SANTA and, amazingly, the director of JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY, which affords him the dubious honour of being the first guest to come onto the show AFTER we covered one of their films... It's Adam Marcus! His chosen film? Cruising! Back in 1980, it's fair to say that a film like William Friedkin's Cruising caused something of a stir. Vilified by the gay community, the censors and based on real slayings in New York, it remains a controversial film today but it's also an audacious and important film. Starring Al Pacino, Paul Sorvino, Karen Allen and show favourite Joe Spinell, Cruising has lost none of its power. So join us for a chat that includes poppers, giant handcuffs, naked cowboys and more than a little chat about Jason Goes To Hell! The synopsis is as follows: A psychopath is scouring New York City gay clubs and viciously slaying homosexuals. Detective Steve Burns is ordered to don leather attire, hang at the city's S&M joints and keep an eye out for the killer. But as Steve becomes immersed in club hopping, he begins to identify with the subculture more than he expected. Meanwhile, Steve behaves distantly around his girlfriend, Nancy, the police force's homophobia becomes apparent and the killer remains at large. With Episode 62, we gleefully continue the stomp towards this years' Frightfest with another chat with a festival adjacent director... This time, it is the man behind the short film Retribution, the feature film The Three Don'ts and the Frightfest 2019 selection The Perished... It's Paddy Murphy! His chosen film? Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday! Yes! Jason is back in this, the ninth installment in the slasher franchise. Released in 1993 and helmed by 23 year old director Adam Marcus (Secret Santa), Jason Goes to Hell was the first in the series to step away from the familiar stalk-and-slash formula to something a little more supernatural. Does it succeed? That's up to you! The Synopsis is as follows: After being blown away by a team of FBI agents, Jason Voorhees needs to find a way to overcome certain death. When his bloodied remains are sent to the morgue, his heart, still intact, is able to hypnotize a coroner and take over his body. After brutally dispatching a couple of FBI agents, he heads back to his favorite stomping grounds: Crystal Lake. Jason commences another teen massacre while a bounty hunter discovers the only way to kill him. Please note that this episode contains strong language, conversations of an adult nature and some EXTREMELY Scottish accents. Remember, you can keep up to date with our news by following us via the usual social media outlets: Facebook Twitter Instagram Plus you can drop us an email to stronglanguageviolentscenes@gmail.com. Då var det dags för del 3/4 av vår Fredagen den 13-special! I avsnitt #132 Friday The 13th Part 7, 8 & 9 går v igenom följande mästerverk: Fredagen den 13 del 7 (VII): The New Blood, del 8 (VIII): Jason Takes Manhattan och del 9 Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday. Det blir allt från Jason vs Carrie till den underbara karaktären Creighton Duke veckans avsnitt av Creative Meltdown Podcast! Varför utspelas inte Jason takes Manhattan på just Manhattan? Är Creighton Duke the baddest man on the planet? Joining the queer wolves is Derek Dennis Herbert, the director of the documentary To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story! Episode 122 - Mike Dies At The End Everybody has that one friend. The friend who, despite all of your desperate pleas, can never tell you about a movie without ruining the ending. However, for some reason, you keep talking to that person about movies. It is a hell of your own making, and you've convinced yourself that, because you love that devil so much, you don't mind the burning. Well, guess what. This week, we are that friend. Mike dies at the end of this episode. There, we ruined it for you. Is it even worth listening to now? Well, yeah we think so, because you know what, sometimes it's about the journey, not the destination. Yeah, that sounds good. We like that. Your friend is still a dick though. This week we grabbed some Jet Black Heart Oatmeal Milk Stout from Brew Dog, and discussed a couple movies that your friend doesn't have to ruin, because the titles do it for them. On this episode, we talk about HEREDITARY, the best ROSEMARY'S BABY fanfic ever written! We also rank JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY and talk about Booberry, Big Mama's Pickled Sausage, Teen Angel, and the discomfort of seeing Jason Voorhees any time after the Reagan administration.
If a teen gets killed in the woods, does Jason Voorhees make a sound? Of course he doesn't. But you'll be hearing the screams of Adam Thomas and Thomas Mariani for days to come as they take a look at two of the under-examined entries in the slasher franchise Friday the 13th in honor of... well, Friday the 13th. First, the good pick is the controversial fifth entry A New Beginning, in which a copy cat killer takes on the likeness of Jason for a series of murders. Not usually too beloved amongst Jason fans, but Adam and Thomas find their tastes may differ from the norm. Then the even more divisive Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday, where in Jason becomes a worm creature that travels from person to person. It's muddled, but our duo's thoughts may surprise you more than a coroner eating Jason's heart. It's a doubled edged machete of good time! Say whaaaat!?! Todd & Tom talk business with the one and only Rusty Schwimmer, who acted in both Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday, and in Highlander II: The Quickening! One awesome lady... two brutal franchises.
Pulp Nightmare | Tales of The Unaccountable | Comedy | Weird | Movie Commentaries
In this edition of Pulp Commentary, the boys celebrate the entirely too talked about death of Jason Voorhees by taking a nice trip down to ole' Camp Crystal Lake for some nice wholesome skinny-dipping fun. But just when they thought it was safe to go back in the pussy... they hear the sound they've been dreading all this time. The oncoming footsteps of a black man! Wait, that came out wrong. It's a body-hopping adventure of underwhelming proportions, as this Friday the 13th, the camp-crazy cast of Pulp Nightmare are made to sit down and bear witness to the most trying installment of the series yet - JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY. You know why this commentary's gonna stick with you? Because you're getting a taste of the Duke! And how about a taste of Jason's delicious heart too? Then download the commentary here to chow down! Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday was one of the most anticipated movies for your hosts, Nick & Chris in our youth. We were so excited to see the events that followed Part 8, how would the story pick up where 8 left off? How would they address the fact that Jason turned into a little child at the end of part 8? All questions, we got no answers. Listen in to our reactions as "Jason" fans react now and then(1993) as we discuss this movie! Next week "Jason X" Please follow or like us, or send feedback to one of our many ways you can connect with us online! www.apodcastandamovie.com @PodcastandMovie Facebook.com/apodcastandamovie apodcastandamovie@gmail.com
