The Kings win their 1st Summer League game against the Hawks in Las Vegas. It was a rough game where neither team could put the ball in the bucket, but the Kings got big performances from Jordan Ford and Neemias Queta as well as timely shots from the rest of the team to pull this one out. We don't hear this often but the King's defense really smothered the Hawks and it paid off in crunch time. The Kings will now have 2 days off before they face the Clippers on Monday. The much anticipated Victor Wembanyama debut unfortunately didn't live up to the hype. Harrogate Town are set to pay tribute to a lifelong supporter this weekend before their match against Mansfield Town. Johnny Walker supported the club since the 1940's but sadly passed away recently, and so the club will have a minute's applause before the match. We caught up with Jordan Ford, President of the Supporter's Club to find out about Johnny and why he is considered a 'legend' among the Town faithful. We also chat to midfielder Alex Pattison ahead of Town's match as they look to end a run of five League Two games without a win.

The vibes are not as strong as the last episode because Kings got a bit of a reality check against the Suns. Coming into Wednesday's game, the Suns rested basically their entire 1st and 2nd unit, leaving only their 3rd and 4th units to face the Kings. In what is a very familiar sight, these scrappy Suns smacked the Kings in the mouth to start and outplayed them for much of the 1st half. While the Kings ultimately fought back and got things in order for them to pull out the win, it's very concerning that the ghost of Kangz past still haunts this team. The hope will be that these kinds of game happen less often this season because the Kings will need to win every game they can if they're serious about making the playoffs. In other Kings news, the Kings waived Quinn Cook and Kent Bazemore this morning, and then signed Wes Iwundu and Jordan Ford.
