Beth investigates a loud thumping noise upstairs, which turns out to be the open bathroom window. Keira claims she never opened it. Previously: as the Committee arrives at Koschei the Deathless for Hilda's meeting, JJ and Bette sneak in via a side entrance to try and rescue Gretchen. They stumble into the ride, and find themselves in a creepy but familiar kitchen, occupied by an animatronic witch. To her horror, JJ realises that the witch is modelled on Dorothy - Margot's mother, and the twins' grandmother. JJ recalls the Dreamland dollhouse, shown to her by Dorothy moments before she was murdered by Matty. This kitchen is identical to that of the dollhouse. It's Mockery Manor. The twins hop on a passing Egg Buggy, and discover that each room is a distorted, nightmarish reflection of the rooms of Mockery Manor. As they near the grand ballroom, the twins hop out of the Buggy to stay unnoticed. They are shocked to see Margot and Davina among the Committee members. Why are they there? And who's looking after baby Freddie? Meanwhile, Hilda is losing communication with her security unit as they are each taken out by Jenkins' men. "We're under attack" she radios to the others. "Retreat to Koschei and seal it. No-one gets in, no-one gets out. And if you see anyone you don't recognise... execute on sight." In this episode: Party time. But JJ, hiding behind a sofa, evades capture. Meanwhile, Parker frantically searches the park for a phone, and runs into Jenkins and his silent muscle, "Max". It emerges that Jenkins has a crack team of trained operatives scattered throughout the park. As they approach Koschei the Deathless, Parker notices that the ride building is a replica of the Mockery Manor house. Jenkins reveals that he and Hilda were stationed at the Schloss during the war, and that the pair went on to design the theme park together. But Hilda has betrayed him. Previously: Parker bumps into Bette at the entrance to Dunkelschloss. They hide from Hilda by running into The Little Mermaid's Underwater Cave System, which, they notice, has the exact same layout as Mockery Manor's Dreamland. Parker tells Bette his suspicions - that Jenkins might had his dad killed, and that he is running some sort of shady business with Hilda. Bette explains that she eavesdropped on Hilda's meeting with "some Italian guy who wouldn't shut up about Beluga whales". Parker recognises that to be Giuseppe, and it all clicks: Wizzzard Entertainment is running a Europe-wide smuggling ring... and Hilda is going to dispose of Jenkins. Meanwhile, in the schloss, Gretchen has stumbled across a hidden room, where Giuseppe and two other Wizzzard park managers are chatting. They don't know why Hilda has called them all to a meeting, but Giuseppe says he is planning to retire. They discover Gretchen listening, and she runs off to tell JJ what she heard. Of course, JJ doesn't want to know - much to Gretchen's frustration. With Dodgy Eric (currently unconscious on JJ's bed) having found her a buyer for the Vermeer, JJ says she just wants to sell her painting, grab Bette, and get out of there. An irate Bette bursts in, accompanied by Parker, and demands that JJ abandons her plan to sell the painting. But before JJ can make up her mind, a sinister figure arrives, gun in hand. Bohdanko - the Russian gangster who tailed her from Japan, and beat up Eric for information in Amsterdam - has come to collect his prize. Previously: Journalist Nathaniel Mist arrives at Newgate Prison to interview Anne Bonny and Mary Read for the book he is co-writing with Jonathan Barnet, the privateer who captured the pirates' ship Revenge. Unexpectedly, Barnet decides not to visit the pirates, and the two agree to meet at King's Coffee House later that night. Mist discovers that Read is ill with a fever, so he turns his attention to Bonny. After much clashing, Bonny declares that she will only tell her story if Mist passes letters between her and Read. He reluctantly agrees. She begins with her early life - growing up a bastard child in a cruel house, and running away at an early age with her new husband John Bonny to the pirate stronghold Nassau. She also tells Mist of Read's time in the British army, where she went by 'Mark Read', and her ensuing love for fellow soldier, Daniel. In this episode: Their deal now struck, Anne Bonny tells Nathaniel Mist of her arrival in Nassau, where she leaves her double-crossing husband and joins Jack Rackham's crew. When raiding an English passenger ship, they take a new recruit: an enigmatic soldier who calls himself 'Mark Read'. Previously: Bob appears to Mist in a dream, and shows him the capture of The Revenge by pirate-turned-privateer Jonathan Barnet. Anne and Read fight to the last, Bob is shot in battle, and dies in Mist's arms. Mist then awakes, incarcerated in Barnet's house, where a raging Barnet tells him that he is planning to torture Anne and Read for the location of Rackham's treasure - but, Scratby insists, only after 4 o'clock tomorrow, as the pirates are scheduled to be visited by a high-paying baroness. Barnet then makes Mist a fugitive by exposing treasonous documents collected from his lodgings. Mist is then rescued from captivity by Bess, who helps him escape through Barnet's window, and hides him at her gaff. Meanwhile, Anne hoodwinks a well-meaning turnkey into delivering a coded letter to Mist that outlines her plan to escape Newgate, with Read at her side... Thomasz reveals it's worth a lot more than she originally thought - $200 million. Back at Mockery, Parker asks Jenkins where he buried Smithy's body, and Jenkins tells him that Smithy isn't dead. Matty refuses until Parker comes back with info on where Jenkins hid the body. In Amsterdam, gangster Bohdanko questions Dodgy Eric about JJ's whereabouts. Hilda meets with Thomasz on the Little Mermaid Seafoam Rapids and instructs him to get closer to JJ – seduce her if he must. Hilda believes Jenkins sent JJ to Dunkelschloss for a reason, and she wants to know what it is. Elsewhere, JJ is approached by a strange woman – it's Bette, in disguise. Bette gives JJ a letter from Mockery, a spy camera and a listening device, and leaves as quickly as she came. Back in England, Parker is clearly traumatised from the events of three years ago. Kelly tells him he needs 'closure'. Parker is inspired and resolves to talk to someone who can give him answers. JJ reads the letter. It's from Jenkins, who tells her to bug Hilda's phone and take photos of the contents of Dunkelschloss's lorries. Thomasz arrives and JJ asks him to drive her to the village. Elsewhere, Danil and Bohdanko have heard something interesting on the criminal grapevine – a man called Dodgy Eric has been making indiscreet enquiries while trying to sell a Vermeer. Bohdanko is dispatched to Amsterdam to have a word with him. In the final scene, Parker is led into a prison room and comes face-to-face with... Matty. Previously: JJ takes the scenic route to Hilda's office by riding The Elves of Europe and jumping off the boat at the Italy show scene. Using Hilda's phone, JJ contacts Dodgy Eric (her old flame, and generally an unsavoury character), and asks for his help selling her mysterious package - a stolen Vermeer painting - which he agrees to do. She is then escorted by Tomasz to her lodgings in the semi-derelict schloss at the centre of the park, which has no toilets. Meanwhile, Bette unexpectedly arrives at Mockery Manor and tells Margot, Jenkins and Parker that she has had a baby and needs a job. Jenkins presses her into spying on Hilda and the Dunkelschloss operations. Later that evening, JJ meets Gretchen sneaking around the park. They part ways at the toilets in Baba Yaga Land, but Gretchen tells JJ to be careful... She thinks there is something going on in the park. Something dangerous. JJ laughs and says "that's statistically unlikely". In this episode: Tomasz reports to Hilda, the twins are reunited in the Black Forest, and Parker starts an investigation of his own. Previously - Flashing back to New Year's Eve 1990, a disillusioned Bette leaves her pilled-up sister partying with strangers on a Thailand beach, and finds herself spilling her emotions to Chet, an American traveller. Chet invites Bette to come with him to the Himalayas to find inner peace, which she does... without JJ. Flashing forward to the present (1992), Hilda teaches JJ to drive the People Cart in the Vegetable Patch, Dunkelschloss's dullest edu-tainment offering. JJ panics at the mention of a ride called the Trousers Meowsers Mega Coaster, and Hilda informs her that they sometimes swap attractions with Mockery Manor. She also reveals that JJ will be staying in the semi-derelict schloss (castle) during her stay. Meanwhile, at Mockery Manor, Jenkins presses Parker to contact JJ and task her with spying on Hilda, whom he suspects is running an "illegal operation" from the German park. To their surprise, Bette then arrives at Mockery Manor and asks whether Margot's offer of a full-time job still stands. Finally, back in Tokyo, shadowy figures are disposing of a body. It seems unlikely that "the girl" is their colleague's killer, but they are determined to find her and retrieve the item she was supposed to deliver - a priceless, stolen Vermeer. In this episode: a desperate Bette is given a mission, while JJ seeks help from an unsavoury contact, settles into her new lodgings, and makes an unlikely friend.
