The Lucky Trader Podcast: NFT Interviews, Exclusives, & Info
Lucky Trader editor-in-chief Logan Hitchcock is joined by Scott Cullather of INVNT Group, Patrick Milgan from Nifty Gateway, artist Mad Dog Jones, and Bob Richards of Artemis Music Entertainment to talk about their respective parts in the newly launched NFT collection, "Fallen Gravity." The collection's first drop, "Inverted Dark Matter" is now live on Nifty Gateway and will remain open until Apr. 9 at 10:00 a.m. ET. Inverted Dark Matter provides collectors the opportunity to add an exclusive work from Mad Dog Jones to their collections for just $99. Listen to the conversation to hear more from behind the scenes and get excited about other aspects of a unique drop.
On this installment of the Spotlight Interview series, I had the great pleasure to speak with the German digital artist Stefan Große Halbuer. Stefan has a drop coming up this Thursday, March 30th (2023) on Nifty Gateway [link to the collection page] so we of course discuss the three new isometric artworks featured in that collection, but we also focus on Stefan's creative genesis including the direct impact of Franco-Belgian comics like Asterix on his early artistic development and indirect influence of Japanese art & culture, in addition to discussing the series of events and influences of artists like Mad Dog Jones and Victor Mosquera that led to Stephan's genesis NFT mint back in 2021, before wrapping up talking about how Stefan likes to balance commercial work and his own personal art practice while curating a list of some amazing commercial clients like Adidas, KIA, Lufthansa, and Sony Music, among others. This is a public episode. The latest OE meta continues to dominate the crypto tweetosphere, so Rizzle and I decided to recount a bit of an oral history on Open Editions beginning with the first OE drop by Pak all the back in August 2020. From there we dive into the new world for collectors (and by extension creators) now that A.I. powered tools have made it trivially easy for literally anyone to create.
