In March 24, 2015, a court bailiff made his way to the Martin Luther King townhomes, in the lower east side of Detroit. He was looking for 35 year old Mitchelle Blair to serve an eviction notice. Mitchelle owed $2,206 in rent. He knocked at the door, but no one answered. So he identified himself and found a way to get in. The house was filthy but Mitchelle was nowhere to be found. Figuring she had already fled, the bailiff began moving things out of the home. Then he noticed something a bit strange. There was a freezer in the living room.
