We've completed our first 12-team, 3-WR, PPR mock draft since the conclusion of the NFL Draft and we've got some major takeaways (2:10) including the strength of the running back position compared to wide receiver, and it's even stronger now that Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton, RJ Harvey and the other rookies have been added. We also have a lot of news and notes (10:30) on George Kittle, JK Dobbins and Diontae Johnson among others ... Let's review the mock draft starting with Round 1 (19:50) which does include Jeanty. Should he go before Puka Nacua and Nico Collins? Then we're on to Round 2 (25:30) and Round 3 (28:50) as Travis Hunter comes off the board. Was that too early? In Round 4 (31:00), we begin a run of rookie RBs but also we might be seeing a dropoff at the WR position ... We look at Rounds 5 (39:30) and 6 (47:40) and debate TreVeyon Henderson vs. Harvey. Plus, the rookie tight ends were drafted too early. And we finish by taking a look at most of the rookies (52:00) who were selected in this mock draft and what we think of the value. Cam Skattebo vs. Jaydon Blue, when to draft Tre Harris, how to draft Jaguars RBs and more ... This new season starts with a "Battle of the Armstrong All-Stars" as a trio of Armstrong Neighborhood Channel hosts battle it out for trivia supremacy. Marilyn Forbes from "Around The Town" takes on Dominick Domasky of "Bikes & Hikes" and Mary Dreliszak from "People Who Inspire."Here is how AI listened to this episode!  If you'd like AI summaries of your podcasts, check out Castmagic!https://get.castmagic.io/ugp958dba02xWelcome to another exciting episode of "Stuff I Never Knew!" In this episode, we dive into a special battle among the Armstrong All Stars. Hosted by Jeff Revilla, this trivia game show features contestants Marilyn Forbes, Dominick Domasky, and Mary Dreliszak—all hosts from different Armstrong Neighborhood Channel shows. The game is composed of three riveting rounds, each filled with unique challenges and engaging questions. Let's break down the action as it unfolds. In Round 1, contestants had to determine if a given quote was said by comedy legend Dave Chappelle or Armstrong Neighborhood Channel producer David Fedor. Marilyn Forbes kicked off the round strong by correctly attributing a quote about being true to oneself to Dave Chappelle. Dominic and Mary both faced difficulties distinguishing Fedor's potential quotes from Chappelle's, resulting in a few incorrect answers. By the end of the round, it was a tight race with Dominic taking a slight lead at two points, while Marilyn and Mary each had one point.Round 2 brought the contestants to the hot seat where they had to answer questions in their chosen categories, which were humorously titled Close Shave, Up in the Air, and Ouchie Wowchie. Dominic, taking on Ouchie Wowchie, did well by identifying body parts associated with potential piercings, earning the most points in this round. Mary chose Up in the Air but struggled with some questions, earning fewer points. Marilyn, with the Close Shave category, managed to identify that her questions were related to bald individuals, propelling her score significantly. Despite a valiant effort, her answers lagged slightly behind Dominic's.In Round 3, the stakes were heightened with video-based questions for significant points. Dominic quickly identified John F. Kennedy from clues about presidential achievements, and also nailed Bono from U2 as the philanthropic musician. There were stumbles along the way, like Mary guessing wine instead of coffee, but the competition remained intense. Notably, Dominic impressively answered Mount Rushmore correctly from scarce information. Marilyn surged ahead in the final questions by correctly identifying the Statue of Liberty and nearly guessing the Empire State Building on the first go. As the episode wrapped up, Dominic held onto his lead and unseated the returning champion, Marilyn, by a margin of just one point. The game showcased an exciting display of knowledge and quick thinking from all contestants. On this episode, we have three fantastic contestants: Laurie, Wize, and Gerald who are here to test their knowledge in a fun and dynamic trivia competition. Broadcasting on the Armstrong neighborhood channel, Jeff sets the stage for an intense game. The familiar theme music plays, and the contestants prepare for their first round of questions. The energy is high, and we're ready to dive into the world of trivia where knowing the unknown can lead to victory. In Round 1, the game kicks off with a straightforward question format, "Brand of motorcycle or golf equipment?" Contestants are asked to identify whether a given brand name belongs to a motorcycle or golf equipment company. Laurie starts strong, correctly identifying Ducati as a motorcycle brand. Wize follows suit with Callaway as golf equipment, and Gerald keeps the streak going with Pinnacle as a golf brand. The round continues quickly with more brands like Husqvarna and Precept, with most questions answered correctly except for Wize, who mistakenly identifies Precept as a motorcycle brand. At the end of the round, Laurie and Gerald are tied with three points each, while Wize trails with one. Wize gets to choose the order for the next round, setting Gerald up to go first.Round 2 introduces the "hot seat" format where each contestant individually answers questions in their chosen categories. Gerald picks entertainment, demonstrating his deep knowledge with perfect answers, earning him maximum points. Laurie follows with the music category, wisely leveraging her expertise from her music podcast to secure seven points out of a possible eight. Wize, with products as his category, scores three out of three on the main questions but struggles with the bonus question. By the end of the round, Gerald takes a slight lead with Wize gaining some ground and Laurie closely following. This sets the stage for the final and most unpredictable round of the game. The final round is a "Who am I? What am I? Where am I?" segment featuring vague clues that get easier as they go. Contestants can buzz in at any time but risk losing points if they answer incorrectly. In an impressive display of quick thinking, Laurie buzzes in on the first clue multiple times, correctly identifying answers like "The Moon," "Coco Chanel," and "Nelson Mandela," securing her lead. Wize and Gerald also make their moves with answers about hurricanes and MRI machines, but the consistent accuracy and quick responses from Laurie ensure her victory. Wize manages to make a comeback towards the end, but it's Laurie's game as she finishes with a significant lead.In summary, Episode 164 of "Stuff I Never Knew" was a thrilling contest filled with knowledge, quick responses, and strategic gameplay. Laurie emerged as the winner, demonstrating exceptional trivia prowess particularly in the final round. Todd and Wise follow suit, answering their questions with varying levels of success. With 30 points up for grabs, the contestants must identify vague clues related to various subjects. Lisa displays impressive speed and precision, buzzing in with correct answers about mole sauce and volleyball. Todd makes a comeback by correctly identifying Al Capone and mosquitoes, while Wise scores with "tea" during the beverage question. The tricky questions and Jeff's engaging banter keep listeners at the edge of their seats. Despite a strong push from all, Lisa's quick thinking and correct guesses secure her the win with 15 points.
