On this episode of Moats, George Galloway discusses the famous names who keep appearing in the paperwork associated with sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, and why these names tie's to today's political scene are hard to ignore. South Africa became the first country to file a suit against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, ramping up international pressure on Tel Aviv to stop the deadly and relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip. Israel is still in the Eurovision song contest and competing in international sport like the olympics in Paris, should they be banned from competing just like Russia, asks Nima Tavallaey Roodsari? Richard Medhurst rejoins Moats to discuss the effects on trade for the West and Israel as Yemen severes the trade routes in the Red Sea, and the illegal developments in Northern Gaza and South Lebanon that could spark all out war between Israel and Lebanon.Nima Tavallaey Roodsari: Football Journalist and Pundit & Co-host of the Italian Football Podcast- X: https://x.com/nimatavrood- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nima.tavallaeyroodsari- Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nimatavrood- Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/46j6SyOqq2HVvB6A4DG1DbRichard Medhurst: Independent Journalist & Political Commentator - X: https://x.com/richimedhurst-Instagram: https://instagram.com/richardtmedhurst-YouTube: https://youtube.com/@RichardMedhurst-Rumble: https://rumble.com/v409iqs-everything-israel-says-is-projection-killed-baby-story-is-true-but-its-gaza.html@Richard Medhurst-Telegram: https://t.me/medhurst Get bonus content on Patreon Become a MOATS Graduate at https://plus.acast.com/s/moatswithgorgegalloway. On this Moats, George Galloway reflects on the week from hell in Gaza as Israel escalates its military operations and asks why are the same countries that supported the Ukraine war supporting Israel? In this ‘Nailed It!' episode we look back on two episodes in which, it's fair to say, Chris and his guests touched on more revolutionary political theories than they usually do. In Lockdown Regret, Starmer's Betrayal - is socialism dead? (March 2023) Nima Tavallaey Roodsari explains that the current Labour Party is really a liberal party, calling for the formation of a truly socialist party. He had a particular leader in mind… Panellists Nima, David Osland, and Reem Ibrahim discuss whether Keir Starmer was right to kick Jeremy Corbyn out of the Labour Party. Is a broad church of liberals and socialists in the Labour Party a functional marriage? They discuss the rising age of retirement and dispute the amount of tax workers pay towards pensions compared to the rest of Europe. Is our system socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor? The final excerpt is taken from Chris's conversation with James Schneider, How the Left Can Win by 2030, and Why They Must. This weeks podcast, we dive into the State of Inter Milan with special guest @NimaTavRood from The Italian Football Podcast (@ItaFootPod) and SempreInter.com! Nima dives into the season that was with Inter's 2022-2023 season yielding what can only be described as a "mixed bag" of results that saw them finish behind Lazio for 3rd in Serie A but also playing in the Champions League Final. Next the guys sift through the roster to pull out the key performers from last season before looking at the gaps that need filling in the summer. Nima reviews the players already signed in the mercato and assesses how they fit into the squad. A discussion about Inter and the transfer market wouldn't be complete without a little Lukaku drama so Nima weighs in on how he sees that saga wrapping up. Closing the podcast, the guys give their "too early" predictions on how Inter's upcoming campaign will go and if this is the season Inzaghi leads the Nerazurri to a domestic treble!

In this week's 'News Roundtable' episode, host Chris Wright is joined by former London Assembly Member and political activist, Murad Qureshi, journalist and political commentator, Emma Burnell, and football journalist and broadcaster, Nima Tavallaey Roodsari. The conversation kicks off with the panel debating whether corruption is rife in FIFA following its awarding of the world cup to Qatar. They compare this to Russia 2018 and Germany 2006. The panel touches upon the fan culture and atmosphere on the ground in Qatar, debating if the World Cup being held during the winter has taken away from the togetherness and community feeling that has become ingrained in football.Together, they discuss Qatar's alcohol ban, comparing it to the UK's Sporting Events Act. 1985, which prevents alcohol consumption in the stands. Chief Constable Mark Roberts, the National Police Chiefs' Council lead for football policing, called the review of this law “madness,” sparking debate about the cultural ties between the sport and alcohol. They debate the immigrant labour used to build the World Cup stadium and the poor working conditions they were subject to. They chew over workers' treatment in Qatar and argue whether this is an opportunity to raise awareness of the issue on a global scale. This allowed for a greater debate regarding broader political issues in Qatar – should FIFA deal with these issues by making them conditions of hosting?
