It remains the most unforgettable day in the history of the world's most watched football league, the English Premier League. Sergio Aguero's goal, 93 minutes and 20 seconds in to the last game of the season against Queens Park Rangers, who themselves survived relegation by the thinnest possible margin. The result handed City the title, and snatched it away from perennial winners, and neighbours, Manchester United. Presented and produced by Adam Peacock, Code Sports bring you The Aguero Goal; Drama and Delirium. The events leading up to, and including, the day are told from four different points of view. Joelen Lescott, Manchester City defender, part of the army of high-prized recruits bought by City to end their title drought. Last week the German publication Der Spiegel published fresh claims against irregularities at Manchester City with the Premier League investigating three particular areas of interest. The purchase of under age players, the inflation of sponsorship incoming and payments made to former manager Roberto Mancini. Suj & James investigate if these new claims should concern City and if they are any different to the claims which UEFA held against the club when originally banning them from the Champions League. A ban that the Citizens overturned. Plus there's discussion on the murky world of fake sponsors and how comfortable we as fans should be on where money into football clubs comes from. Adriano was a very engaging guest, with a very intelligent perspective which makes this episode one of our best so far. It has been a difficult week, digesting a second consecutive failed World Cup qualification for Italy after defeat in the semi-final playoff against North Macedonia. We dissect what led to this point, as well as the cultural and structural problems in Italian football, as well as the mistakes in Roberto Mancini's team selections, game plan and substitutions. We also discuss the opportunities being given to Italian youth talent, as well as the marketability and attractiveness of Serie A and where the league gets it so wrong. Also... the latest on Paulo Dybala and where he might go after leaving Juventus, and is this weekend's derby d'Italia the last chance for Juve to get back into the scudetto race, and for Inter to save its campaign to defend its title? Nicky also tells us about her recent interview with Milan's England international Fikayo Tomori for The Guardian, and we close the show with a walk down memory lane that may make tifosi of our beloved Azzurri have a tear or two at this sensitive time. With winners in every position, Mina and Nicky deservedly heap praise on a Roma side which is finally on the up after a topsy-turvy season to date. Return to San SiroThe Curva Nord gave the team a lift as they demolished Salernitana 5-0 and as the smoke from the flares settled, it was obvious that Inter had rediscovered their scoring form. Lautaro Martinez netted a hat-trick and Edin Dzeko got a brace, this was a game where Inter were back to form. It was also a great moment for the Official Inter podcast in English as host Richard Hall travelled to Milan to catch up with Thomas Lawrence and maybe perhaps this brought a little luck. This podcast is a little different and we will tell you why. This podcast documents Richard Hall's return to Milan, He has been visiting San Siro since 2005 and whilst he lives in the UK he has been, at the peak, watching the team up to 10 times a season. He has been with the Ultras, with the press, interviewed people such as Ivan Perisic, Mario Corso, Giuseppe Bergomi, Roberto Mancini and more and has met Javier Zanetti. This was his first time back in nearly three years and the podcast shows his journey to meet Thomas, however, this is not about him. This podcast was created by Inter, not to be about Richard or Thomas but instead was to try and show the emotion of being back in Milan and the emotion of seeing Inter after the pandemic. This is for the fans who haven't been able to return yet and for those that have. It is about realising just how important it is to see Milan, see Inter and San Siro. This has been produced to let the fans that have not been able to travel that we understand how hard it is and that, now restrictions are lifting, you will also be able to experience this soon. This podcast is in appreciation to all those who have missed being at the games, we thank you for your support from a far. We hope that this podcast shows that things are getting better, travel is possible and also we simply tried to capture emotions we know you all feel. For those who are finding hard not travelling, this is for you, FORZA INTER. We know you are there and we thank you for the support. When we say I AM INTER its not for everyone but it is for you. Ibrahimovic went off injured and shots on target were few and far between. But this is Serie A, so of course there is still plenty to talk about! Simone Inzaghi's men needed an Andrea Ranocchia wondergoal to equalise late on and send their mid-week Coppa Italia match with Empoli in to extra time, which they then went on to win, and it was some tired legs who suffered for the win against a solid Venezia side. Inter needed another late goal, this time to snatch a winner via Edin Dzeko's head. Nicky says Lazio have been a frustrating and perplexing team this season, while we were introduced to some Atalanta youngsters.
