Much is made of the idea that we are products of our enviornment. This episode is an exploration of the idea that not only can you change your enviornment, but you can also create it.And in keeping with the idea of creating an enviornment, would anybody have any interest in a live version of an Off The Lead solo podcast? A live version of an Off The Lead conversation? Or perhaps just a meet and greet of people who are into this sort of thing? If so, do let me know by reaching out to me on Facebook, Instagram or via email mckeown.francis@gmail.com See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Creative people like creative things and non creative people don't like creative things (BSGA).My guess is that my audience is disproportionately creative, as this whole Off The Lead 'thing' is nothing if it's not creative. No pre or post production, just raw unfiltered content. Not for everyone but that's kind of the point. The obvious downside of being outside of cultural norms is that it can be isolating, however (and increasingly these days) there are ways for isolated people to find comfort/community online. This is often found by following independent artists. By finding/making a community when the 'mainstream' is too jarring for you to be a part of. But, as outlined in this episode it's worth keeping at least a toe or 2 in the mainstream as you don't want to be completely isolated from the herd. Today I try and explore what I'm doing with the whole Off The Lead 'thing'. What it means to me, what I think it means to people who listen and what it could be beneficial for. I also make the case for 'influencer' not being an inherently bad term. And remember, "Thoughts are like farts, you never know what they're going to sound like untill they come out". I've added a bit of order to how I record the podcast and if nothing else it's added some structure to how I do what I've been doing with Off The Lead. The best outcome regarding this is the head-space it's provided me. This head-space has allowed me to relax a little and in doing so has me thinking more clearly about what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. So the question that I've ended up posing to myself is, "how can I increase the levity of the podcast whilst remaining authentic". And the answer that this episode has provided me is that the best/only way to do this is to increase the levity in my life. As always I can be supported via www.patreon.com/offthelead and contacted via WhatsApp on 0896047888
I've spoken a good bit about conservatism and liberalism but not so much about how they manifest themselves in our social structure. This is very much a first attempt at clarifying my own views on the subject, so if you've anything to add you can contact me on 0896047888. As always, if you'd like to support me in what I'm doing here at Off The Lead, you can do so via www.patreon.com/offthelead
On the assumption that the article in the local paper might draw in a few new listeners, I recorded this episode which just generally outlines what the whole Off The Lead 'thing' is. It's a fairly diverse group of people I have on so maybe pick someone or something that interests you and give it a go. And as always, I can be contacted on Off The Leads WhatsApp no. 0896047888. Knowing your part as a player is key in every performance. It is essential to know when to take the lead and when to pull back and sit in the mix.
Carnivore Diet Update - Day 9 is online. I'm onto my 9th day of eating nothing but Meat (and eggs) and salt. So far (I'm conscious of getting ahead of myself here) I'm beginning to think it's one of the best things I've ever done. BUT, for people who are new to Off The Lead you need to know something, I'm doing this whole carnivore diet 'thing' as a fire break, it's sole purpose is to nock me off my sugar addiction. I'm of the opinion that, "having a sweet tooth" doesn't exist, it's just an excuse for being addicted to sugar. So eating nothing but meat is only for April (I'm toying with the idea of extending it already but I'm only a week in so we'll see how it goes). Its probably worth noting that I'm also of the opinion that we (humans) are omnivores and that we should be eating a balanced diet of meat and vegetables/nuts/seeds etc. If you're interested in hearing more about how and why I'm doing this then check out my 2nd chat with Bernard Smyth. It's been a busy 7 days in Off The Lead land. This episode is an attempt to do a few things. It's an attempt to make sense of what I'm doing (I'm never 100% sure which is probably my favourite thing about it) it's addressing some of the feedback I've been getting and it's a bit about purpose and ownership. As always I can be contacted via WhatsApp on 0896047888 and supported on www.patreon.com/offthelead
The time to start planning for when this lockdown is over is upon us. There's likely going to be restrictions to beat the band even when we do open back up but such is life. Today I give the idea of doing a live podcast some breathing space, I also find out that 'ham radio' simply means 'amateur radio'. Everyday's a schoolday! 0896047888 is Off The Leads WhatsApp number so get in touch if you'd like to get involved. Oh and www.patreon.com/offthelead is where I can be supported financially so if you're listening to everything I put out and you can afford it, it'd be greatly appreciated!

I've asked myself, "why do I do what I do?" Or "Why am I doing things the way I do them?". And the answer is some variant of, "That's like asking why am I who I am?". It's just me folks. For good or for bad. Just me. I do this whole Off The Lead 'thing' for selfish reasons. And I'm relatively proud of that. Because I'm a firm believer in leading by example. And I'd love to continuously encourage people to get out of their own way and do what it is that only they know. But a more effective way of doing this is by just doing it myself. Big shout out to everyone for supporting me by reviewing the podcast, rating the podcast and sharing the podcast. Every little helps! It's my opinion that when your business builds/grows/produces a product, at some point you're production capacity will outstrip your sales to such a degree that you will essentially become a marketing company. So this episode is my attempt to try and figure out how I'm going to market Off The Lead, as my production has gone through the roof but I'll starve if I can't drive people to I'm doing.
If you're aware of a legitimate version of "clickbait" then do let me know. Other than just effective advertising. Today I further try and understand what it's going to take to push the whole Off The Lead 'thing' forward to a point whereby it resembles more of a media company than just me waffling shite down a mic! If you can financially support me then www.patreon.com/offthelead is where to do it!

As the title suggests, this is an audio recording of the vasectomy which I had earlier today and before you say anything, I've never claimed to be normal. I can appreciate how someone might ask, why? Not why would you have a vasectomy of course, but why record it and upload it to the whole world (To not listen to it). The reason is grounded within why I've started this whole Off The Lead 'thing' - To provoke conversations and initiate change. It's because when it came up in conversation (pardon the pun) that I was 'getting the snip'. Most of my friends reactions was a scrunched up face and the sound "yeeeeeeze". Many of them were horrified. "Really? Your going to let some stranger 'down there'???". First of all, it was no stranger. It was a vasectomy doctor. In any case, I saw an opportunity to dispel a few misconceptions about the procedure by recording it. So here it is, in all its scrotumy glory! Questions, queries, comments etc all welcome and can be sent to the same place as always imoffthelead@gmail.com
Ever thought about doing something? Think about who and where you'd be if you did half of the things you thought of doing. The more you do the more you are. I also mention how unbelievably beneficial this whole Off The Lead 'thing' has been for me. In a sense it's because I've been acting on my thoughts and not just endlessly ruminating over them. So act and change the world. www.patreon.com/offthelead Fran. imoffthelead@gmail.com
Bangin' 'em out! Know anything about 'Facebook groups'? I'd love to hear from you, let me know any tips and tricks you might have in relation to how I can grow the Off The Lead 'community' and further the cause. User engagement is where it's at, I think! I had an unexpected visitor at around 20 minutes or so, some fella looking for directions, needless to say he doesnt know he's online for the world to hear! What would he have said or done differently had he known he was being recorded?.....that just might be the topic of the next episode. Oh and before I forget, I'm on Patreon so follow the link and support what you want to see more of in this world! www.patreon.com/offthelead Fran.
Finally pulled my finger out and set up my Patreon page! All I have to do now is sit back and count the cash! Lawl! Today I talk about following the path of least resistance and how doing so will leave you festering in a sea of shit. I also talk about supporting what you want to see more of in this world and give an insight into where this whole Off The Lead 'thing' is headed. And I may have mentioned my new Patreon page. www.patreon/offthelead Stay off the lead, Fran. imoffthelead@gmail.com
Back with a bang! Or maybe more of a thump...but back nonetheless! Today I give some insight into why the whole 'Podcast a day for 40 days' was somewhat doomed to 'fail' but I also speak of the utility in 'failing'. If you've joined the Blindboy Boatclub party (which you should) you'll be familiar with his 'podcast hug'. Well I'm more and more of the opinion that what my solo episodes are is a 'podcast kick up the hole'. At least that's what I'm striving for! Let me know if something I've said has resonated with you, this whole Off The Lead 'thing' is fuled by feedback! Fran. imoffthelead@gmail.com
Don't let the accompanying photo put you off, I'm only using it to show you what you should avoid. THIS IS NOT NEWS. Today I strive to make amends for missing yesterday and try and advise myself in order for history not to have to repeat itself. We don't have to keep making the same mistakes we've been making our whole lives. We're in control, were steering the ship or at least we fucking should be! I also practice what I preach by giving you an insight into my 'creative plans' so watch this space! This is something I'm particularly keen to hear from you about. I also give a shout out to a couple of lads who wrote to me thanking me for what I was doing. The effect such messages have on me can not be overstated, it's feedback like that that t keeps me motivated to continue doing what I'm doing. Stay off the lead and I'll chat to you tomorrow, Fran. imoffthelead@gmail.com
Buckle yourself in, this is good one! Come for the Conspiracy Theories and stay for the honesty, logic, rationality, insight and well articulated critical thinking. Ruari has some Off The Lead and Off The Wall thoughts on lots of topics, 'some' of which include flouride, nano particulates, geo engineering, global warming, paedophilia, 'The Ruling Class' (aka 'they') and lots lots more! Bearing that in mind consider this, we agreed far more than we disagreed! I think what separates him from your run of the mill tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist is that he is genuine in his approach and not just someone with access to youtube and too much time on their hands. He will most certainly be appearing again. And maybe again and again!!! Stay off the lead, Fran. imoffthelead@gmail.com
8 days in lads and I'm hearing from more and more people who are doing pushups and getting the fuck after it so fair play! In this episode I speak of a chance encounter with a guy I went to school with. I hadn't seen him in 14 odd years and during our bearly 5 minute long chat he was instrumental in my starting Off The Lead. Don't underestimate the consequences and repercussions of your actions! Stay of the lead, Fran. imoffthelead@gmail.com
Welcome to the first solo episode of the Off The Lead podcast. I've been toying with this idea for a while now and lent gave me the excuse to bite the bullet and give it a lash. So let me know what you think, good or bad. Without a guest I've no self correcting mechanism so I'm very much on my own and could do with a bit of a point in the right direction. This episode could be summarised as a 'tech' episode, but we also somehow managed to squeeze in porn, the Tànaiste, racism, , 'summoning the demon' and lots, lots more!
