Liam Payne snorted cocaine days before his fatal balcony plunge, according to the tragic star's Argentinian "drug dealer". RadarOnline.com can reveal waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz, 24, met Payne in a restaurant where he was working and claims the One Direction singer later befriended him on Instagram. They met up at CasaSur Palermo Hotel, three days before Liam's death, and took drugs together. Paiz claimed he did not take any cash from the singer, explaining: "We took drugs together but I never took drugs to him or accepted any money. Responding to the reports which identified him as one of the suspects linked to the drug accusations and allegations he abandoned Payne before his death, the businessman - who has previously been described as the singer's manager - said: "I never abandoned Liam, I went to his hotel three times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

In this episode, Steve Fretzin and Eduardo Paiz discuss:When most lawyers feel discontent with their jobs. How business development is different between the US and Latin America. Cultural differences in business communication. How the Young Partners Accelerator is helping lawyers in transition and changing their mentality. Key Takeaways:Most lawyers feel discontent when they don't feel in control of their careers. Business culture is the biggest difference when doing business development in other parts of the world. In the US, relationships tend to take a backseat to direct business matters. In Latin America, the relationships are driving more of the work. In Latin America, you are unlikely to receive a direct “no” in business. It also usually takes a couple of meetings before you speak directly about business after the relationships are established.Becoming a partnership will, and should, change your job dynamics. "The dynamics are the same. If you have clients, you have the ability to bring in clients, you are going to be better compensated. You are going to have more power at the table. The dynamics of the legal market are the same." — Eduardo Paiz Read more from Steve at Above the Law: AboveTheLaw.com/tag/Steve-Fretzin/ Thank you to our Sponsors!Ready to go from good to GOAT? This week on MissionCTRL, Ramon and the PD Flight Crew are joined by Joshua “Josh” Paiz, a fellow artist, auto enthusiast and founder of JPaiz Studios, for a riveting conversation about cars and his own personal evolution as a muralist. Paiz discovered his interest in art when his mother, a domestic worker, would bring home discarded scrap paper, which he used to create and entertain himself. As he immersed himself in the creative process, a passion started burning within him. Paiz faced the same frustration with the educational system that Sir Ken Robinson described as stifling students through a one-size-fits-all approach instead of nurturing their unique talents and creativity. Paiz was fortunate to be surrounded by educators who fanned the flames of his passion and a mother who sacrificed by working odd jobs and collecting cans to place him in specialized art classes. Though he was bullied as a kid, he discovered that his artistic talent gave him street credibility. Josh's path to becoming a full-time freelance artist wasn't without challenges. Josh's journey mirrors that of Frank Shepard Fairey, the founder of Obey, who also took significant artistic risks along his path. Fairey's bold and unconventional approach to street art challenged societal norms and established him as a pioneering figure in the art world. Like Paiz, Fairey faced obstacles but leveraged his creativity to make a lasting impact. Tune in to hear how Josh's passion allowed him to travel the world, painting over 60 murals worldwide and counting . . . Find Mission CTRL on Anchor, Apple Podcast, Spotify, and our website. #018: *This episode has mentions of infant loss, termination by choice, and traumatic miscarriage. If you find any of these triggering, please consider skipping this episode. Listener discretion is advised. You're 20 weeks pregnant and the unthinkable happens. You go for a routine ultrasound and to find out the results of the genetic testing you had done a few weeks ago. What should be a happy time ends up being a day where your entire world comes crashing down around you. The doctor tells you the test show your unborn baby has trisomy 18, otherwise known as Edwards syndrome. It's a genetic condition that causes delays and fetal growth development and life expectancy for children diagnosed with it is very short due to several life threatening complications, including congenital heart and kidney disease. In today's episode, I talk with Chelsea Paiz about her journey to motherhood. What went through her mind after her daughter's diagnosis? How she deals with people who may not understand her decision, and how she's still struggling with secondary infertility today. We're also talking about how she turned her pain into passion by starting TTC Mama Company and her mission to help others through one of life's most difficult decisions. ______________________________________________________________________ Click here to find out the No. 1 reason most women get stuck in the vicious cycle of infertility grief and how to break it ______________________________________________________________________ Thanks to our amazing partners! The past decades have borne witness to the United Farm Workers' (UFW) tenacious hold on the country's imagination. Since 2008, the UFW has lent its rallying cry to a presidential campaign and been the subject of no less than nine books, two documentaries, and one motion picture. Yet the full story of the women, men, and children who powered this social movement has not yet been told. Based on more than 200 hours of original oral history interviews conducted with Coachella Valley residents who participated in the UFW and Chicana/o movements, as well as previously unused oral history collections of Filipino farm workers, bracero workers, and UFW volunteers throughout the United States, The Strikers of Coachella: A Rank-And-File History of the UFW Movement (UNC Press, 2023) spans from the 1960s and 1970s through the union's decline in the early 1980s. Christian O. Paiz refocuses attention on the struggle inherent in organizing a particularly vulnerable labor force, especially during a period that saw the hollowing out of virtually all of the country's most powerful labor unions. He emphasizes that telling this history requires us to wrestle with the radical contingency of rank-and-file agency--an agency that often overflowed the boundaries of individual intentions. By drawing on the voices of ordinary farmworkers and volunteers, Paiz reveals that the sometimes heroic, sometimes tragic story of the UFW movement is less about individual leaders and more the result of a collision between the larger anti-union currents of the era and the aspirations of the rank-and-file. David-James Gonzales (DJ) is Assistant Professor of History at Brigham Young University. He is a historian of migration, urbanization, and social movements in the U.S., and specializes in Latina/o/x politics and social movements. Learn more about your ad choices.
Mensagem do Dia
