Jeffrey Bergeron, AKA Biff America, has spent the last 50 years living in the mountains, mainly in Breckenridge, Colorado. And yet his signature accent and brash personality—rooted in the South Shore of Massachusetts—is as rich as it was the day he moved West. Likewise, his sharp and self-deprecating sense of humor is evident through his writing and, as you'll hear, in this episode. In addition to his columns which have been published in Backcountry since 1994, he's also published two books under the Backcountry flag. Biff's colorful career has spanned stints on the radio and television, politics, and even a spell as a stand-up comedian. At the core of it all is skiing and mountain biking. Biff has logged 100-plus days on snow per season for the better part of five decades. Nowadays he spends most of his time skiing the backcountry, away from crowds and Breck's six-pack chairlifts. He finds inspiration for his writing in the skin track, and simply by “paying attention” to the little things that make up his daily life. He travels the country in a camper with his mate Ellen, chasing snow and singletrack and stories to share. We caught up with Biff in between adventures to learn where the “Biff America” moniker came from and much more. [00:30] COVID Tyranny (23 minutes)Three teenagers recently tried to escape from Australia's Howard Springs COVID-19 detention camp. Police set up checkpoints and set out on a relentless search to find the escapees. Michael Gunner, the premier of Australia's Northern Territory, where the detention camp is located, said, “Absconding from Howard Springs isn't just dangerous—it's incredibly stupid.” Why? “Because we will catch you,” he says, “and there will be consequences.” The three teenagers were captured and each tested negative for COVID-19. However, they've been returned to detention and will each have to pay multi-thousand-dollar fines. This is just one example of many that illustrate how COVID-19 is being used by those in power to control people's lives. [23:40] Texas School Board Declares War on Parents (6 minutes)In the Texas town of Round Rock, the local school board coordinated with police to arrest two fathers who caused a disturbance during a school board meeting. The dads were arrested for defending their children against unlawful mask mandates and were forced to spend the night in jail. America has turned into a nation where bureaucrats who oversee the education of children use law enforcement to strong-arm parents who disagree with the way their children are being taught. [30:15] The Deadly Attack That Never Happened (6 minutes)Out of the 60 injured in the deadly Waukesha terrorist attack, 18 of them were children. Many are still recovering in hospitals, and for many, like 16-year-old Erick Tiegs, their bodily injuries will change their lives forever. Yet the radical-leftist media won't cover the tragedy and Joe Biden won't visit the families suffering as a result of this attack. As Newt Gingrich stated on Fox News, “[I]t's a nonevent because it is actually an African-American who had posted racist comments, anti-white comments, who had posted that you can use a vehicle to kill people.” [36:10] Bible Study: Called to Support the Work (19 minutes)Today's study is built around a statement Herbert W. Armstrong made in 1974: “God's Church is proclaiming to the whole world the very gospel God sent to mankind by Jesus Christ—and no one else is, or has, for 18½ centuries. Your part in that Work is the only reason you were called to conversion now, before the time of the Kingdom of God.”

My guest this week is economist Steve Moore Our topic: the economy and how the trillion upon trillion dollar spending orgy in Washington is going to cause irreparable damage to America. “This is an extremely dangerous time for our country. What happens over the course of the next three or four months will have decades worth of repercussions,” explains Steve. “The people who are running Washington right now are out of control. I think they're crazy. Joe Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer have an agenda to truly radically transform our country” and not for the better. “They are targeting the productive class, the people who produce things, the people who work, the people who save, the people who invest, the people who start businesses.” They want to eliminate incentives for people to work, save and invest; all the key drivers of growth. By the end of 2021, federal debt held by the public is projected to equal 102 percent of GDP. Debt that high and rapidly rising increases the probability of a fiscal crisis, 70's era inflation and ultimately risks the U.S. dollar's role as the world's reserve currency. It is time to wake up to the fact that our country's financial destiny is being determined by people in Washington who have virtually no private sector business or capital markets experience. These are people who have no idea how to create wealth. Steve “looked at the top people in the Biden administration, starting with the top, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, the treasury secretary, the labor secretary are the people running the FTC, the SEC. Out of the top 40, how many years of business experience combined do these people have?” The answer is dismaying. This is an ugly story, but one you need to know. Listen in, then call Congress to tell them to stop this madness.

On this episode of Objective:Health, we talk more about the latest corona-craziness. President Trump announced a plan to have a Covid-19 vaccine available by the end of 2020. Dubbed 'Operation Warp Speed', the details of the plan seem to come straight out of the film Idiocracy. Heading the operation, for instance, is GlaxoSmithKline vaccine chairman Moncef Slaoui, a man who oversaw the Pandemrix vaccine for swine flu in 2009 which resulted in over a thousand recipients getting brain damage....
