Send us a Text Message.Easton Corbin, born on April 12, 1982, in Trenton, Florida, is an American country music singer known for his neotraditional country sound. Corbin grew up on his grandparents' farm following his parents' divorce and was deeply influenced by country music from a young age. His early exposure to country icons like Merle Haggard, George Jones, and Keith Whitley, coupled with his experience performing at a local church, cultivated his passion for music. After high school, Corbin attended the University of Florida, where he earned an agribusiness degree. However, his passion for music persisted, and he moved to Nashville in 2006 to pursue a career in country music. In Nashville, Corbin worked at a hardware store while honing his songwriting and performing skills. His persistence paid off when he signed with Mercury Nashville in 2009.Corbin's debut single, "A Little More Country Than That," released in 2009, catapulted him to fame. The song, which celebrates rural life and traditional values, topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. This success was followed by his self-titled debut album in 2010, which produced another number-one hit, "Roll with It," and solidified his presence in the country music scene.Critics and fans praised Corbin for his authentic country sound, reminiscent of 1990s country music, which set him apart in an era dominated by pop-country crossover artists. His voice and style drew comparisons to country legends like George Strait, earning him a reputation as a traditionalist within the genre.Corbin's subsequent albums, including "All Over the Road" (2012) and "About to Get Real" (2015), continued to showcase his commitment to traditional country music. "All Over the Road" featured hits like "Lovin' You Is Fun," while "About to Get Real" included the successful single "Baby Be My Love Song."Despite changes in the music industry and evolving trends, Corbin has remained true to his roots. His music often reflects themes of love, heartbreak, and everyday life, resonating with fans who appreciate classic country storytelling. Corbin's dedication to his craft and his ability to stay relevant in a competitive industry highlight his talent and resilience.Easton Corbin's contributions to country music extend beyond his discography. He has toured extensively, bringing his traditional sound to audiences across the United States and beyond. His live performances are known for their energy and authenticity, further cementing his status as a beloved country artist. In summary, Easton Corbin's journey from a small-town Florida farm to the stages of Nashville exemplifies his dedication to preserving the traditional country music sound. His success with hits like "A Little More Country Than That" and "Roll with It" underscores his talent and commitment to the genre, making him a standout artist in contemporary country music.www.betterhelp.com/TheBarnhttp://www.betterhelp.com/TheBarn http://www.betterhelp.com/TheBarnThis episode is sponsored by www.betterhelp.com/TheBarn and presented to you by The Barn Media Group.

We've got Brice Long with us on the podcast this week. Brice has enjoyed a successful 25+ year music career. As a songwriter he has had over 100 of his songs cut with artists such as Garth Brooks, George Strait, Chris Stapleton, Hank Williams Jr, Randy Houser, Josh Turner, Reba McEntire, Gary Allan, Cody Johnson, Chris Young, Jon Pardi, Easton Corbin, Lainey Wilson, Casey James, Darryl Worley, Randy Travis, Gretchen Wilson, John Michael Montgomery, Porter Wagoner and many more. Brice has tons of wisdom to share when it comes to getting a start in music city. This is a guy who started off struggling to pay his bills and has come full circle with several hits for major artists and his own foundation which he created to give back to the community. This week, we focus on the stories behind "Nothing On But the Radio" by Gary Allan, "Heartache on the Dance Floor" by Jon Pardi, and "Like A Cowboy" by Randy Houser.  Brice had a record deal with RCA and got dropped, but secured a #1 with Gary Allen that same year. He talks about his collaboration with Jon Pardi on several songs, emphasizing hard work and the importance of jumping on a good opportunity. On this episode, we also cover his work with Randy Houser, including the CMA-nominated "Like A Cowboy," opening many doors and his foundation, "Back to Back," helping over 150 families in the community. Brice is extremely humble and throughout the episode, consistently credits God mixed with hard work for his success. We had a great time on the Podcast with Terry, Ray and Billy of the iconic group McBride & The Ride...When they first began releasing music in 1989, McBride & The Ride released three acclaimed albums Burnin' Up The Road, Sacred Ground, and Hurry Sundown, with hit singles like "Love on the Loose, Heart on the Run," “Sacred Ground,” "Going Out of My Mind," and many more. In the spring of 2021, they announced they were reuniting and going back in the studio to record new music. Though the band has been on and off over the past 30 years, its members have thrived through their individual careers. Ray Herndon has been Lyle Lovett's lead guitarist since 1985 and has had songs cut by Kenny Chesney, Aaron Tippin, Lee Greenwood, Linda Davis and more, he continues to operate his family's historic club, Handlebar J, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Terry McBride has had quite a fruitful career, writing major hits for Brooks & Dunn, Reba McEntire, Easton Corbin, Cody Johnson and more. He toured with Brooks & Dunn through most of their biggest years playing bass and writing songs.
