Registering to be an organ donor is one of the most selfless acts of any human being, and those who have donated their organs have given an ultimate gift to humanity.In this episode, I am joined by Rachel G. Greenberg, founder of the grief support group Connections of Hope. Her husband, Glenn, passed on after a brain hemorrhage in the spring of 2013. As an organ donor, he helped 127 people on the waiting list for different types of organs. Sinds mei vorig jaar ben ik country manager voor Autoscout24 en Autotrader. Onze belangrijkste toegevoegde waarde is het leveren van kwalitatieve leads aan het autobedrijf. We moeten een duidelijke ROI leveren aan zowel de consument als aan het autobedrijf. Ik begon tijdens een behoorlijke storm. Het eerste halfjaar was lastig. Het tweede halfjaar was er ruimte voor groei. Ik heb gewerkt aan stabiliteit, duidelijke interne en externe communicatie, een duidelijke richting waar we naartoe willen, en meer connectie met de markt. Ook hebben we nieuwe mensen aangenomen en de organisatie stevig neergezet. Daardoor zijn we in 2019 goed van start gegaan.” Investeren “In 2016 hebben we Autotrader overgenomen. Ik kan niet zeggen dat ik weet hoe Autotrader er over vier of vijf jaar uitziet. Voor ons zijn zowel Autoscout als Autotrader belangrijke platforms om goede leads te brengen naar het autobedrijf. Het zijn allebei platforms waar we veel geld in investeren. Autoscout is ons belangrijkste merk, maar zo lang we Autotrader hebben, investeren we erin en zijn we er trots op. Het verschil tussen is dat particulieren wel op Autoscout kunnen adverteren en niet op Autotrader. We investeren voor beide portalen veel geld in marketing. Daarom is Autotrader gekoppeld met Gaspedaal.nl. Gaspedaal zorgt een goed bereik via Google.” Autoscout Express “We komen dit jaar met een aantal nieuwe diensten, waaronder de mogelijkheid voor particulieren om hun auto ons aan te bieden aan de handel. Deze nieuwe dienst heet ExpressVerkoop. Nu kan je bij ons gratis via het portal je auto adverteren. Straks krijg je als particulier na het invullen van het kenteken automatisch een richtwaarde als je de auto aan de handel verkoopt. We selecteren uit ons klantenbestand een aantal autobedrijven die deze auto’s kunnen kopen. Handelaren binnen een straal van 25 kilometer rondom de particulier kunnen interesse tonen. De particulier kan vervolgens een afspraak maken met een autobedrijf. Zo maken we gekwalificeerde leads voor het autobedrijf. De pilot loopt al in Oostenrijk. In Nederland gaat ExpressVerkoop in augustus live.” Herintroductie prijsvergelijker “We streven naar transparantie. Daarom wordt de prijsvergelijker op Autoscout geherintroduceerd. De vorige keer was de timing niet goed en kon het stakeholdermanagement beter. Als we het herintroduceren, doen we dat eerst bij autobedrijven en daarna pas bij consumenten. Uiteindelijk is de prijsvergelijker een manier om een auto sneller te verkopen. Het is een moeilijke discussie omdat we in een markt leven waar heel gemakkelijk afgeprijsd wordt. Iedereen kijkt wat de buurman doet. De prijsvergelijker is ook een tool om als autobedrijf je vraagprijs te bepalen. We zijn nu bezig om te kijken of alle data klopt. De waarde van een Maserati bepalen is lastig, maar van een gemiddelde Golf kunnen we goed inschatten wat hij waard is.” Zoeken op maandbedrag “Uiteindelijk bepaalt de consument. Zonder consument hebben de autobedrijven en wij geen business. De driehoek tussen autobedrijf, portal en consument vraagt soms om compromissen. We focussen sterk op klantcommunicatie. We hebben een dealerboard met vijftien autobedrijven die een afspiegeling zijn van de markt. Daarnaast hebben we vorig jaar klantevenementen georganiseerd. Dat gaan we dit jaar opnieuw doen. We willen weten wat onze klanten denken. Autobedrijven zijn belangrijk voor alles wat we doen. Daar luisteren we goed naar. Binnenkort starten we met EDF, exclusieve dealer financing. Onderaan elke verkoopprijs wordt het maandbedrag van de auto getoond, van leasing tot financiering, zodat de consument de maandkosten van de auto ziet. We willen ook naar een soort mobiliteitsvergelijker die de kosten van bezit en gebruik laat zien. Dat breiden we uit met pechhulp, banden, enzovoorts. Klanten kunnen straks op basis van het maandbedrag een auto zoeken.” Data vergelijken “Dat een platform zoals Viabovag richting mobiliteitsplatform gaat, is begrijpelijk. Daar kijken wij ook naar. Maar: het gaat om de vraag vanuit de klant. Ik ben om die reden ook geen voorstander van dual pricing. Het is ondoorzichtig voor de klant. Ook voor autobedrijven willen we transparant zijn. Samen met andere portals kijken we naar een eerlijke vergelijking van data. We werken in een industrie waar emotie een grote rol speelt. Ik ben een voorstander van een eerlijke datavergelijking.
