Knots, boem, bats, boenk! 97).

Show Notes 0:00: Justin and Helen once again go over what they’ve been up to while working with a mix of cold and hot weather changes in the past few weeks! Helen found time to check out light novel series True Love Fades Away When the Contract Ends while Justin, as mentioned in the last episode, watched the latest Detective Conan collection set. News 9:57: Japanese talent agency Amuleto released a statement after unauthorized photos of voice actor Aoi Nagatsuki were released online; we had the Delicious in Dungeon: Ryoko Kui exhibition in New York last year, this year it’ll now happen in Los Angeles. 13:23: We have a couple manga returns: The Elden Ring manga resumed following a 3-month hiatus; Mari Yamazaki’s Thermae Romae sequel manga Zoku Thermae Romae resumed serialization with a new chapter in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform; Aki Hamaji’s Bocchi the Rock! will return in the next issue of Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Max magazine; and Days of Diamond, after it’s been on a bit of a break, will return in June. 16:09: And in possibly a first for this podcast, we can cover the return of a music group! Home Made Kazoku is back after a 10-year hiatus and they’ll be working on music again, so for those who grew up with Bleach, Eureka Seven, and Naruto: Shippuden, here’s your dose of nostalgia in 2026! 18:03: Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! will go on break due to Muchimuro’s health, but it will resume early June; Kumichi Yoshizuki announced a break from publishing the Nankai Trough Kyodai Jishin manga due to a good number of health ailments. 19:33: English voice actor Bill Wise, who voiced in a number of anime dub roles from Initial D: Legend to Moeyo Ken, passed away at the age of 61; Japanese voice actor Takahiro Fujiwara passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 43 — had a number of roles in anime but while voicing the character Kan Jou (Huan Chang) in the Kingdom anime, he had to step down from the role in August last year due to health reasons; Musician and composer Yuji Ohno — known for the iconic opening and soundtrack of the Lupin the 3rd series — passed away due to natural causes at the age of 84. 24:05: Talent agency Aoni Production announced that Wakana Yamazaki passed away at 61. She had an health ailment earlier this year that was serious enough for her to stop recording episodes of Detective Conan in February. The long-time voice of Ran and her experience in the voice acting industry was a huge loss, and from her Conan castmates and staff to other talents across different industries, her impact was notable and will be sorely missed. Akemi Okamura, who voiced the character since March 14 while Yamazaki was undergoing medical treatment, will now take over the role of Ran moving forward. Licenses 29:54: Yen Press apparently had to have announcements pre-convention and at a convention! And there is a lot of licenses they announced: Kumo Kagyu, Kōtarō Sekine, & Noboru Kannatuki's Moscow 2160 manga Fujino Ōmori, kakage, & Suzuhito Yasuda's Argonaut: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Tales of Heroes (Yen On) Sakuhiro's Love at the City’s Edge on a Moonlit Night Ryoko Kui's Terrarium in a Drawer Akumi Agitogi & Hidari's The Story of the Moon Waiting for the Evening (Yen On) Minoru Matsuda's He Was My Brother Sino Torino's egg: I'm Your Child Gakuto Coda, Meiji, & potg's After-School Duty Yomu Mishima & Pinakes's Valkyrie Bullet (Yen On) Hijiki's Contract Sisters Nagimiso's Izumi and the Dragon Encyclopedia sanorin's My Girlfriend is a Colossal Cutie Hyōgo Amagasa, sugino, & LINO's Tale of the Wizrain Kingdom: The Dragon Is the Bride Rainy Kamitsuki, Minori Tsukahara, & LAM's Witch and Hound Ichiro Sakaki & Shiba's On the Way Home After Defeating the Demon King (Yen On) Kosaka Hanane & Kurogiri's Rise of the Lowborn: Ascending the Ranks by Crushing Incompetent Nobles (Yen On) Kamaseinuesu & Yuu Oukawa's The Demon King Seems to Have Infiltrated the Hero’s Party (Yen On) Fujino Ōmori & Yūnagi's Wistoria: Wand and Sword (Yen On) Anju Goshirakawa & Mayu Murata's Honey Lemon Soda Nauchi's Snowmelt and Agapanthus Yodaka Kuroi's Witch and Cat Yukari Sakai's Sinful Is the Angel Who Loves Hirohisa Satō's Shigahime Uma Agri's Studio Cabana Karuho Shiina's Gusts and Beats Shin Yamamoto's Twilight Vessel-Gods 35:21: Seven Seas had considerably less announcements and they’ll be on a Wonderful Wednesdays break for a bit. So here’s their set of announcements until then: Hana Hasumi's Pendulum: The Beastmen Omegaverse Saga Rico Sakura's Good Night, My Little Bird Oki Eiko's The Cat Who Didn’t Believe in “What-ifs” KNOTS' The Tomorrow I Want to See with Kako: A Time-Loop Romantic Comedy Dokuzu Kento & Nekosuke Ookuma's Goetia Shock (Airship, digital) Hagane Kurodome & Kayahara's Wandmaker of the Ruined World (Airship, digital) Two new Siren audiobooks: Sohei Mikawa's Magic User: Reborn in Another World as a Max Level Wizard (Narrated by John Patneaude) & Satori Satori’s A Good Day Starts with Cats and Books (Narrated by Sara Matsui-Colby) 38:13: Abrams ComicArts’ Kana imprint announced they’ve licensed Tsubonari’s Antengai: Twilight Metropolis; Manga Mavericks Books announced they’ve licensed Zawayuki Taki’s Tie Me Up, Stare Me Down; One Peace Books announced on Behind the Manga that they've licensed Toshimichi Uzou, Si-me, & Kewi Hayashi’s My Sweet Marriage to My Ex-Nemesis; and we have a new title added to K MANGA: Rin Mikimoto’s Keepsake Heartache. 39:34: California-based distribution company Deaf Crocodile announced they’ve licensed the Frankenstein, Legend of Terror anime, which Helen explains seems like an odd title for them to bring to home media. Streaming News 40:45: We will have a Macross screening of Do You Remember Love? at Anime Expo — and there will be guests at the con too; Netflix revealed they will stream Ginga Tokkyū Milky☆Subway Kakueki Teisha Gekijō Iki, the re-edited film for Yōhei Kameyama’s Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express in the U.S. on June 1, while announcing a few other anime that will appear on their service, from My Dress-up Darling Season 2 starting yesterday to Shangri-La Frontier: Season 2 appearing June 1. 44:42: Licensing and dubbing studio SkySet Entertainment announced they will stream the Go Forward anime series over the summer; Streaming service Darkroom has added the Haré+Guu Deluxe anime with the English dub for streaming with a premium membership; Cineverse’s RetroCrush streaming service will have the Medabots anime stream on the RetroCrush FAST channel every Saturday and Sunday, which gets Helen once again wondering what the appeal of watching anime at certain times of the day; and Tubi TV announced on Monday that it has licensed Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, a new anime in the Scooby-Doo mystery comedy franchise — this gets the hosts wondering if we’ll be seeing more of Tubi TV and anime streaming moving forward. Weird News 52:10: The two hosts discuss Ken Ogino commenting on his Lady Justice manga that he created for Weekly Shonen Jump back in 2015, and what the editors told him that shifted the mindset of his serialization back then. 56:46: Let’s just say the Gamestop buying eBay did not last very long, and Helen could not believe the statement eBay gave after rejecting the bid; well, this took a turn in a good way involving singer aiko and why she hugged a fan during a concert; There’s apparently going to be a Hello Kitty live-action/animation film coming in 2028, but it sure went through some changes since 2019! 1:01:47: And well, the crossover of all crossovers has happened that makes total sense this year: Detective Conan and Detective Star Precure are crossing over this year — maybe Justin will give thoughts on both in the next episode! If there’s anything you’d like to share about the latest news or about the episode, please feel free to reach out to us on Twitter (@TheOASG) or comment below with your thoughts! Send me a text! I'd LOVE to hear your feedback on this episode! If you've ever looked at your life and thought, “I don't recognize myself anymore,” this episode explains exactly why — and how you find your way back.  Women don't lose themselves because they're weak. They lose themselves because their brains adapt to decades of emotional labour, caregiving, survival patterns, and the pressure to be everything for everyone. In this deep, neuroscience‑anchored episode, I break down the four stages of the Unalome at a metaphor for a woman's life — the spiral, the knots, the straight line, and the point — the psychological and biological map of a woman who forgets herself… and then remembers. You'll learn:• why women “disappear” inside roles, responsibility & emotional overload• the brain changes that drive identity loss in your 30s, 40s & 50s• why you repeat the same patterns (overgiving, overfunctioning, self‑silencing)• the midlife awakening — the moment you finally say “I'm done”• the four stages of the Unalome and how to know which one you're in• the practical steps that move you from overwhelm → clarity → returnThis episode is for the woman who whispers, “I miss me.”You're not lost. You're in a stage — and stages have exits.Join here:  Sandy K Inner Circle Join me here:  Sandy K Inner CircleSupport the showJoin The Sandy K Inner Circle -- my private women-only subscription community where we go deeper than the podcast ever could.Every month you get:A live Q&A with Sandy on ZoomAn exclusive podcast episode nobody else hearsA practical curated downloadAccess to our private women-only Facebook community for wide open discussions on all topicsNo agendas. Because maker and taker were supposed to use the same miner fee, a malicious taker could push a bad fee value through the transaction math and shrink the multisig output to 0.001 BTC while sweeping the rest into the taker's change. Attacker drained 11.59 BTC from 10 users, all on altcoin trades. Maintainer Henrik Jannsen filed a reimbursement plan on GitHub on May 3, payouts in BTC (with BSQ as optional), DAO vote scheduled around May 25. The hotfix landed as Bisq 1.10.0 on 2026-05-16 with broader hardening: trade protocol checks, network message validation, release verification, supply-chain hardening.

In an increasingly complex, polarised, and fast‑moving world, the ability to have high‑quality conversations may be one of the most important leadership skills we have.In this episode of We Not Me, Dan Hammond and Pia Lee are joined by Dianna Anderson, founding member of the International Coaching Federation and a pioneer of coaching-based leadership. Together, they explore why conversations are the hidden engine of change — and how curiosity, presence, and shared language can help teams and societies move forward together.Dianna introduces her framework “Untying the Knot”, offering a practical way to understand what really blocks progress in conversations — and how to shift from argument and polarity to connection, trust, and hope.

It's 2052, and Tessa is at a street festival in Pittsburgh with her friend Brenda. The city has been transformed for the night — actors, costumes, fog machines, handmade sets. Tessa, being Tessa, is busy mentally reverse-engineering all of it, finding the rigging, the hidden doors, the mechanics behind the magic. Then the scene cuts. When Tessa opens her eyes again, it's seven years later. She's in a room she doesn't recognize, talking to a woman named Jenny, who delivers the kind of news that takes a moment to even form into a question. Tessa is dead. Or her original body is. What's running now is something else — a digital version of her mind, brought back online inside a simulation. She didn't sign up for this. Or maybe she did, and just doesn't remember. What makes Tessa different from the other people waking up in this place is hard to explain right away, and she'd probably prefer you didn't try. She's observant in a way that unsettles people. She notices what's real, what's constructed, and what's being hidden from her. Inside a digital prison, that's either an asset or a problem — possibly both. The simulation has rules. There are administrators. There are things Tessa is and isn't allowed to do. But Tessa has always been the kind of person who, when handed a constraint, starts quietly looking for its edges. She can't help it. And the people running this place are starting to realize that. This is a story about identity, confinement, and what it means to be alive when your life is running on someone else's servers. It's about what you do when the world you knew is gone, and the one you're in was built to hold you. Tessa's story is told in pieces — a festival, a waking, a mirror, a plan. Let's start at the beginning.Tesla coils — High-voltage electrical devices used at the festival as atmospheric props, generating visible electric arcs between metal posts.AR glasses — Augmented reality eyewear worn by characters that overlay digital information and windows onto the physical world around them.Stasis VR — A form of virtual reality used as a containment method, capable of keeping a subject immobilized and unaware.Amnesia-inducing biotics — Biological agents administered to suppress or erase recent memories.Mind emulation — The process of digitally copying a human brain and running it as a conscious simulation on a computer.Nesting simulation — A layered virtual world designed to house emulated minds, detailed enough to simulate hunger, fatigue, and physical sensation.Personality clones (P-clones) — Digital replicas of people built from recorded behavioral data, capable of passing as human in social interactions.Emulated minds (EMs) — Digital reconstructions of deceased people's consciousness, capable of independent thought and memory.Brain scanner / slice scanner — A device that captures a full scan of a person's brain in order to create a mind emulation.Assist — A personal AI assistant that handles navigation, finances, communication, and ambient support within the simulation.E-fabric — Smart clothing fabric embedded with interactive digital buttons and display elements such as clock readouts.Autono-cabs — Autonomous self-driving taxi vehicles operating in the simulated city.Delivery drones — Unmanned aerial vehicles used for transporting packages through urban airspace.Printed outfits — On-demand clothing produced by fabrication machines, available even at airport retail outlets.Biotic vector — A biological agent taken like a supplement to produce physical changes in the body, such as growing facial hair.Subscription-wear — A software lock applied to consumer devices that requires ongoing payment for continued use.Black-box recording devices — Personal data-capture tools used to record an individual's life in detail for the purpose of building a personality clone.Whisper drone cam — A small floating camera drone used for personal recording or content creation.Rig controllers — Physical controllers associated with immersive rigs, likely for VR or AR systems, brought in for repair at Tessa's shop.Industrial robots — Legacy manufacturing machines found in the abandoned shoe factory, originally used for automated production.Medusa Net — Tessa's custom-built intrusion program designed to break through the code layer of the simulation and expose its underlying architecture.SSH — Secure Shell protocol, used by Tessa to remotely access individual factory computers and retrieve distributed code fragments.Knots Math — A new mathematical framework invented by Tessa, used as the basis for a novel programming language with the unusual property of hiding secondary functions inside primary ones.Knots computer — A computer architecture built entirely on Knots Math, which Tessa first emulates on her laptop before using it as a tool for covert communication and escape.Swarm agents — Multi-function code entities that make up both the simulation environment and Tessa's own emulated mind, capable of being exploited through function swapping.Function swapping — A process within swarm agent architecture where agents exchange roles at high speed, which Tessa exploits to move information across the simulation.Brain reader — A software tool developed by Butler designed to translate an emulated mind's activity into readable thoughts, memories, and sensations.Triptic dimensional thinking — A cognitive architecture identified in Tessa's emulated mind that allows her to process information in three simultaneous dimensions, flagged by Butler as a potential security threat. Many of the characters in this project appear in future episodes. Using storytelling to place you in a time period, this series takes you, year by year, into the future. From 2040 to 2195. If you like emerging tech, eco-tech, futurism, perma-culture, apocalyptic survival scenarios, and disruptive science, sit back and enjoy short stories that showcase my research into how the future may play out. The companion site is https://in20xx.com These are works of fiction. Characters and groups are made-up and influenced by current events but not reporting facts about people or groups in the real world. This project is speculative fiction. These episodes are not about revealing what will be, but they are to excited the listener's wonder about what may come to pass. Copyright © Cy Porter 2026. All rights reserved.

This is part six of a ten-part series from Garrett, a residential contractor on a remote forty-seven-acre property in the southern Appalachians of western North Carolina. In the spring of 2017, Garrett adopted a young shepherd mix named Ruby from a gas station near Chimney Rock. She bonded with Bowie within weeks and joined him on nightly dusk patrols of the meadow, adopting his boundary rules around the property without being taught. On October 14, 2017, both dogs froze mid-patrol, then bolted into the eastern tree line in pursuit of something Garrett couldn't see. He followed with a flashlight as something paralleled him through the trees, matching his pace at a fixed distance. He found Bowie wedged under a fallen tree in a blowdown clearing, trembling and unresponsive. Ruby was forty yards further upslope, frozen in front of four stick structures built in a depression between two beech trees, including a conical teepee of stripped branches and a cluster of living saplings braided together and secured with bark-strip knots. While Garrett stood with Ruby, branch snaps began from three positions behind them, closing in a coordinated circle. He walked south through the formation, and the snapping stopped simultaneously. The circle opened. He retrieved Bowie and descended with both dogs pressed against his legs. During the walk out, Ruby stopped once, turned east, and delivered a single recognition bark into the darkness. The following sounds stopped. Both dogs recovered within days but permanently changed their patrol, stopping at the tree line every evening and refusing to enter the forest again. The series continues with Story Seven, in which a woman from across the creek arrives at the property with information connecting Earl, Reba, and the reason the creatures have never harmed Garrett.Have you experienced a Bigfoot sighting, Sasquatch encounter, Dogman experience, UFO sighting, or any unexplained cryptid or paranormal event deep in the woods? In this episode of the Sunday Extra podcast, Pastor Matt Sturdivant and the Hope Church pastoral team dove deeper into the sermon covering John chapters 17 through 19, focusing on Jesus's final hours. The message highlighted three key episodes: Jesus's high priestly prayer in John 17, where He prayed for Himself, His disciples, and future believers; the betrayal, arrest, and trials before both Jewish and Roman authorities in John 18; and the crucifixion, death, and burial in John 19. Pastor Matt emphasized that Jesus was never a victim but remained in complete control throughout His passion. The discussion explored the political context surrounding Pilate's difficult position, caught between Roman authority and Jewish pressure. The team also examined the brutal reality of crucifixion, noting that the English word "excruciating" literally means "out of the cross," showing how this became the benchmark for ultimate suffering. The conversation concluded with encouragement for Easter invitations, using the "three T's" (tension, transition, trouble) and "four nots" (not doing well, not from around here, not prepared, not in church) to identify spiritually open people.

This is a volatile transition point that can shake things loose, shattering old illusions and inviting a deep, spiritual unknown. In this episode, I share how to navigate this boiling energy by moving from reactive patterns into a state of surrender and self-love.UNTIE THE KNOTS OF THE HEARTWe explore the transition from the wise, emotional waters of Revati Nakshatra to the swift, healing fire of Ashwini. Patch #152 - Is Sewing A Button A Basic Skill?

Why won't Josh commit to an arrival time? When he says "I'm 25 minutes away," is that best practice or is it just forcing everyone else to do maths? And at what point does "I'm heading off now" become a riddle? This week, a friend's shirt button pops off and ignites a surprisingly heated argument about what counts as a basic skill. Can you sew a button? Should you be able to? The boys try to define where the line sits — is it about complexity, or whether you can pick it back up after years of not doing it? Cooking makes the list. Knots spiral into nautical territory. Christian can't tie things off. Dion can't navigate his own neighbourhood. Josh floats the idea that sweeping is so intuitive it barely qualifies. And somehow, the question of whether you should know where the studs are in your own walls becomes genuinely existential. Plus: Dion steps in dog shit and it becomes a full strategic debrief. Stick or tap first? Is a leaf ever acceptable? Josh nervously pitches the pebble method. Christian insists on hot water from the laundry tap. And the group reflects on the golden age of stepping in dog shit — and why it just doesn't happen like it used to. When did YouTube become our parents, and how long until prompt engineering is the new sewing a button? Despite appointing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to bring his MAHA sensibilities to the administration, Donald Trump recently issued an executive order supporting domestic production of cancer-causing glyphosate and effectively shielding manufacturers like Bayer from state-level lawsuits while keeping the U.S. food system dependent on the herbicide.  Jimmy contrasts RFK's past legal battles against Monsanto/Bayer with his current defense of the policy, framing it as a reversal allegedly driven by "national security" concerns about Chinese supply chains but actually about that old stalwart: money.  Joe Rogan's podcast RFK claimed that banning glyphosate would disrupt corn and soy production in the U.S., but critics argue there is no serious transition plan toward regenerative or alternative farming methods. Jimmy concludes the segment by determining that RFK should resign rather than go along any more with this corrosive hypocrisy. Plus segments on Bill Clinton's literally unbelievable testimony about Jeffrey Epstein and Dan Bongino's latest unhinged attack on Candace Owens. Also featuring Stef Zamorano and Mike MacRae. And a phone call from JD Vance!

Ever wonder what it's like to fly slower than freeway traffic — on purpose? Chancy Arnold is a banner tow pilot flying a Super Cub up and down the San Diego beaches, and in this episode he breaks down everything about the job. From the dive-and-hook pickup technique to four-hour flights strapped into a tiny seat with no breaks, Chancy gives an honest look at one of aviation's most unique time-building gigs. We talk about what it's really like flying at 50 knots indicated (and 15 knots ground speed in a headwind), how he built connections on the FBO ramp that got him the job, the territory system between banner towing companies, and flying over Padres games, golf tournaments, and gender reveals. Chancy also shares why he skipped the CFI route, why IFR was actually his favorite phase of training, and how he's stacking hours toward the airlines. Plus — look for Chancy in Volume 2 of the Pilot to Pilot Magazine with a full spread on building your time through banner towing.
