A credible threat that a lone wolf -inspired by ISIS- would attack Virginia over Halloween weekend put everyone on alert and police increased their presence. So far, it hasn't happened, but is it too soon to breathe a sigh of relief? Absolutely! Though terrorists like to kill and injure as many as possible, the Virginia terrorists were at least able to accomplish part of their plan, that of spreading terror, because the warnings about the attack triggered memories of the 2017 Halloween attack in NYC. We'll revisit ghosts of Halloweens Past and you'll hear about the NYC lone wolf, Sayfullo Saipov, who was also inspired by ISIS. Rumor and Intel had it that the terrorists planning the 2021 Halloween attack were Afghan refugees. And, indeed, since a literally unknown number of jihadists snuck in amongst our Afghan friends, whowe transported to America, we are likely to see them perpetrate attacks in the future. Finally, you will get two 'treats' this Halloween Eve: two stories that will provide some gallows humor. They are so scary and unbelievable that you will want to find the humor in them - dark though it is. The first relates to an historic hotel in the UK, now overrun with out of control Afghan refugees. The second relates to UC Berkley students who happily pledge money to kill Americans inside the U.S.

From New York, the greatest city in the world, and now in technicolor for the new Spring season, it's The Update with Brandon Julien! Spring draws closer and closer, which brings us one step closer to the true favorite season: summer. Some stories talked about on today's show were: 1. Defense lawyers for a man charged with killing eight people in a New York City terrorist attack say the U.S. surveilled their client surreptitiously and perhaps illegally for years. The lawyers said in a court filing that they think Sayfullo Saipov's electronic communications may have been vacuumed up through bulk surveillance or by targeting individuals overseas. 2. An important subway station in Queens has closed for the rest of the year due to a need for repairs and renovations. The MTA closed the busy Astoria Boulevard station Sunday and it will remain shut down until December as crews make major renovations. 3. A new Associated Press data analysis shows that over the past 20 years, Americans have been twice as likely to sweat through record-breaking heat rather than shiver through record-setting cold. The AP looked at 424 weather stations throughout the Lower 48 states that had consistent data since 1920 and counted how many times daily hot temperature records were tied or broken and how many daily cold records were set. Chuck Morse hosts "Left-Right Radio with Chuck Morse" podcast and is the author of "The Nazi Connection to Islamic Terrorism" published by WND Books. The bizarre liberal policies that facilitated the arrival and atrocities of the Uzbekistan terrorist Sayfullo Saipov, who brutally murdered 8 and injured 11 in New York this Halloween, are now being clouded in the usual miasma of confusion and double-talk. To understand the public policies and those who are culpable in this regard, we must put aside politics and identify the problem to save lives going forward. New York Mayor Bill Di Blasio had abolished an NYPD task force, set up by Mayor Rudolf Giuliani after the September 11, 2001 attack, which had developed a comprehensive intelligence network that tracked radicals within the Muslim community. Di Blasio ended the task force to stop the profiling of a group that itself is subjected to profiling and is targeted for recruitment by radicals. As a result, the NYPD could no longer surveil the mosque that Saipov attended. This insane policy seriously hampered the ability of the NYPD to keep New Yorkers safe. De Blasio’s inexplicable policy, which put the lives of all New Yorkers at risk, represents the flowering of seeds that were first planted by various liberal congressmen in the 1990’s, before the 9/11 attack. In 1990, New York Rep. Charles Schumer was the guiding light behind the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program a law that changed immigration policy from one based on merit to a lottery system that would work like Powerball. If you came from a select country, one that the government felt was under-represented, you could win a one-way ticket to the United States! This strange idea became law around the same time that Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts came up with the brilliant idea that visas should not be denied to immigrant’s due to their ideology. The only way a visa could be denied, in Frank’s 1989 amendment to the immigration and nationality act, was if there was proof that the applicant had been involved in “terrorist activities,” something that would be virtually impossible to prove. Bill Clinton’s CIA director James Woolsey, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, described Frank’s law as having opened the floodgates to foreign terrorists. Frank would procced, in the 1990’s to spearhead the passage of additional immigration laws that would further hamstring the efforts of embassies and student visa programs to vet immigrants. These politicians embrace a wrong outlook, one that places some hazy idea of international diversity over the interests and safety of their fellow American citizens. Frank claimed that he pushed the law that would let in terrorists legally because he resented the fact that Columbian poet Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the author of Memories of my Melancholy Whores, was denied a visa due to his association with Fidel Castro and Cuban communists. Yet Rep. Frank could have chosen to personally sponsor a trip by the harmless Marquez and, with State Department approval, Marquez would have been able to launch is tour of liberal colleges where he could sit around the proverbial camp-fire with trust fund babies who could share their warm and fuzzy feelings about communist dictators. But instead, Frank sponsored a law, in the name of ending discrimination, that would let in foreigners of all ideological stripes including anti-Semites, Islamic supremacists, communists, and presumably all sorts of anti-American radicals. We should not that there is no such right in international law and custom for a person to go to any sovereign nation. Indeed, one of the most basic functions of national sovereignty, for all sovereign nations, is to decide who enters the national home. This is the same principle that dictates that the individual and the family has a right to decide who enters their own place of domicile. Animals understand this principle. Try to invade the space of a dog and you will have your proof of this. Yet utopian liberals like Barney Frank, Chuck Schumer and Bill De Blasio seem to think that there is something “progressive” about swinging open the border and letting anyone pour in. They are almost as much to blame for the consequences as are the mass murdering terrorists themselves who accept the invitations offered them.
Happy Friday! Last week I focused quite a bit of attention on the terror attack in New York City by a citizen of Uzbekistan, Sayfullo Saipov. Today FrontPage Magazine published my article about that attack and the larger issue, the nexus between failures of the immigration system and national security. The title of my article is DIVERSITY VISA LOTTERY: A GAME OF “RUSSIAN ROULETTE”American sovereignty and security dismantled under the guise of “diversity.” We will consider my article that the issues that the mainstream media refuses to discuss. Considering the dangers inherent in these multiple failures of the immigration system and the detrimental impact of immigration on jobs and wages of Americans, it is beyond absurd to believe that the immigration issue is only of concern for right-wing political extremists. As I have repeatedly noted, the immigration crisis is not about “Right” or “Left” but about right or wrong! Please be a part of my “Bucket Brigade of Truth” and tell your friends and neighbors about my program- and mywebsite, remember Democracy is not a “Spectator Sport!”

We speak with Dr. Anne R. Pierce about the call that Sayfullo Saipov placed before carrying out his attack. Later, we talk to Jason Russell about Trump's tax plan.
Uzbek national Sayfullo Saipov's recent terror attack in New York City has called into question a little known immigration measure known as the diversity visa program. Essentially, it prioritizes visas and green cards for nations under-represented in the United States. Uzbekistan has done particularly well under the program. Yet, for advocates of a merit-based immigration system, the program seems more about political correctness than practicality. Encouraging immigration from nations with few immigrants already in the United States seems a goal dictated by bureaucrats, rather than responding to economic needs. Immigrants should be given access to the US and its lucrative job market because of the contributions they can make to the economy; not to check off some box or fulfill some quota based on the whims of political correctness.
Given the savage terror attack by Uzbeki, Sayfullo Saipov, just blocks from “Ground Zero” I am compelled today to focus on the the nexus between immigration and terrorism. In debates words are weapons. My article, “Language Wars: The Road to Tyranny is Paved with Language Censorship” is included in the Fall 2017 edition of The Social Contract. On Oct. 30th FrontPage Magazine published my article: A BAD DEAL FOR THE U.S.-Generous plea bargain for serious human trafficker bodes poorly for national security. I reported on a disastrous plea bargain with a Pakistani alien smuggler who smuggled aliens from terror-sponsoring countries including a suspected terrorist into the United States. On Oct. 30th I was on “The Dana Show” to discuss immigration. Here is the Linkto the video. Yesterday I was on Newsmax-TV to discuss the terror attack. The video of my interview was posted under the title: Michael Cutler: NYC Terror Suspect May Be Part of Cell. Please be a part of my “Bucket Brigade of Truth” and tell your friends and neighbors about my program- and mywebsite, remember Democracy is not a “Spectator Sport!”

Jenn is back, and she joins Yochi and Zack to talk about what the terror attack in New York says about the true ISIS threat to the US. With ISIS on the run in Iraq and Syria, the sad reality is that the group will double down on its efforts to find would-be terrorists who live abroad and are willing to kill in its name. And that means more attacks on American and European cities are inevitable as militants like Sayfullo Saipov study ISIS propaganda and adopt the group's dark worldview. On Elsewhere, they return to Iraqi Kurdistan to look at the political fallout from a catastrophic independence referendum that has now caused the resignation of the most powerful man in northern Iraq. Zack makes a surprising soccer reference, Jenn defends Uzbekistan, and a listener says Yochi sounds like the villain on "Criminal Minds." Learn more about your ad choices.
