In this confusing episode of raving geeks, co-hosts, Christian Valk and Ashley Martin, embark on an exhilarating complex journey into the intricate and mysterious lore of the widely acclaimed indie game series, Five Nights at Freddy's, crafted by the mastermind behind the madness, Scott Cawthon
Five Nights at Freddy's is going 16-bit, thanks to a new game from Mega Cat Studios. Apparently "Into the Pit" will be a 10th Anniversary game, and Scott Cawthon was HOPING to keep it under wraps a little while longer. But the trailer looks very promising... ➡️ Tip Jar and Fan Support: http://ClownfishSupport.com ➡️ Official Merch Store: http://ShopClownfish.com ➡️ Official Website: http://ClownfishGaming.net Additional Context: "Five Nights at Freddy's" is gearing up for a retro twist with its upcoming game, "Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit," developed by Mega Cat Studios. This new addition to the franchise is significant, as it diverges from the traditional style of the series by adopting a 16-bit art style and 2D format, celebrating the 10th anniversary of "Five Nights at Freddy's." The game, based on the young adult novel "Fazbear Frights: Into the Pit," was prematurely revealed through a leaked trailer, catching the attention of fans and the series creator, Scott Cawthon. Despite his initial intention to keep the game under wraps a bit longer, Cawthon positively embraced the leak, expressing pride in the long-developed project and confirming its significance as a 10th-anniversary celebration. Mega Cat Studios, the developers behind "Wrestlequest" and recipients of investments from Skybound Entertainment, are at the helm of this collaboration with Cawthon. The indie studio's involvement and the game's unique art direction have garnered considerable excitement among the "Five Nights at Freddy's" community. Mega Cat Studios has indicated their enthusiasm for the project and promised to reveal more details about the game soon. "Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit" stands as a major milestone for the franchise. Not only does it honor the series' decade-long journey, but it also introduces a refreshing artistic approach that distinguishes it from its predecessors. Fans can eagerly anticipate this new chapter in the "Five Nights at Freddy's" saga, set to bring a nostalgic and innovative experience to the horror game series in 2024. A long-awaited adaptation of a much-beloved video game franchise, Five Nights at Freddy's (2023) made quite the stir when it hit theaters last fall. We don't know about you, but our social media feeds were flooded with fan cams of Matty Lilly, Josh Hutcherson, and the whole Freddy Fazbear crew. It felt like we were singing fan songs and ~whistling~ along for weeks after we first saw it, but there's more to discuss than just the fandom response. ~Join us for a bite~ as we throw our favorite guy a birthday party at the coolest abandoned spot in town. PARTY PLEASER: thereformedgamers.comLogan Sharp of The Reformed Gamers Podcast joins Melvin in summarizing the biggest horror hit of the year, Five Nights at Freddy's! Despite failing to reach critics, Five Nights at Freddy's has decimated various box-office records, and the two talk about the video game franchise, it's oddly melancholic tone, and the extreme charisma of the Core Four themselves.Topics:(FREE PATREON EXCLUSIVE) 38-minutes talking to Logan Sharp from The Reformed Gamers about their podcast, their YouTube, and playing 5 rounds of "2 Truths, 1 Lie: The Christian Video Game Edition" where-in Melvin names and describes three games to see if Logan can spot the lie! And yes, you'll wish some of these games were fake! (FREE PATREON EXCLUSIVE)Logan gives us an update on The Reformed Gamers and how things have changed since he was last on!Melvin & Logan get into their history with the FNAF games and what it is about them that makes them so gripping.Melvin points out the use of an often-annoying and routinely distracting sound effect used during the beginning of the movie... because that's the sort of thing he does.Mike as a depression-coded character is far more expressive in his dream-state than his awake-state, further asserting his unwieldy and unrealistic determination to find his brother. For a series of games built around the unique stress of resource management, it's surprising that the movie seldom uses dramatic irony to increase tension almost ever.Discussing the bite of 2000.The FNAF games share lore through dream-like cutscenes. It only made sense that dreams would be utilized as a story mechanic in the film.Fort-building: Slay or Nay?Oddly enough, the dialogue in the third-act is noticeably worse than previous scenes. It's... weird.Recommendations:The Reformed Gamers (Podcast)RoboCop (1987) (Movie)Devour (2021) (Video Game)--> Popcorn Theology's "Five Nights at Freddy's" Episode (w/ Melvin!)

Five Nights at Freddy's movie review and franchise history! This week on the Soul Forge we talk about everything to do with Five Nights at Freddy's (FNaF). We just saw the movie on opening night. Our initial thoughts and reactions, fresh from the theatre are here for you to enjoy. Also on this episode, we have a brief recap of the last week in our lives. Shawn and Leah have been cooking. When they went to Disney World, they tried the cheeseburger spring rolls. They were delicious but expensive. After finding the recipe, they made their own version. This version was exquisite, and may be better than the official product. Additionally, they have been watching more Keeping Up Appearances and Blake's 7. You can hear their thoughts on this episode. And finally, Shawn continues his quest to modify and repaint Hot Wheels. Five Nights at Freddy's (FNaF) is a video game series and media franchise created by Scott Cawthon. The first video game was released on August 8, 2014, and the resultant series has since gained worldwide popularity. The main series consists of nine video games taking place in locations connected to a fictional family pizza restaurant franchise named "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza", after its mascot, the animatronic bear Freddy Fazbear. In most games, the player assumes the role of a night-time employee, who must utilize tools such as security cameras, lights, doors, and vents to defend themselves against animatronic characters who inhabit the locations and become mobile and hostile at night. The series' lore is gradually revealed through voice recordings, minigames, and Easter eggs featured throughout the games. The FNaF movie is directed by Emma Tammi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback, from a story by Cawthon, Chris Lee Hill, and Tyler MacIntyre. The film stars Josh Hutcherson as a troubled security guard who accepts a night-time job at an abandoned restaurant. He discovers its four animatronic mascots are alive and kill anyone that is still there after midnight. Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Mary Stuart Masterson and Matthew Lillard appear in supporting roles. This week's podcast promo: Cigar Nerds

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls! Put your hands together for the one, the only, Freddy Fazbear! The Freddy Fazbear Mega Pizzaplex is now open... for a moment. After an unknown period of time after the dissolution of Fazbear Entertainment (Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria Simulator) and its subsequent revival (FNaF VR: Help Wanted) they have returned to make the comeback of the century with a brand new, state of that art, entertainment complex. The Mega Pizzaplex is an indoor amusement park with no equal nor rival, with their headline entertainers, The Glamrock Animatronics, being the most advanced entertainment robots ever to be invented. However, after Glamrock Freddy breaks down on stage, the Pizzaplex is closed for emergency maintenance. When the bear bot awakes, he discovers a young boy named Gregory has stowed away inside his chest compartment. Security is looking for him, and he needs to escape before he is captured. Without a moment of hesitation, Freddy begins to aid Gregory in his escape; but in doing so, Gregory begins to suspect there is more going on than a simple glitch. Would you join us Into the Night? In this episode, we will be discussing the final lore and symbolism not covered in the previous two episodes. Specifically, a strange and secretive storytelling robot known as Candy Cadet. An enigma compared to other robots in the franchise, who for unknown reasons, seems to have been imprinted with knowledge of the mysteries of Fazbear Entertainments' past, but can only express these secrets through allegorical tales, usually with a dark twist.Wrapping up the final Five Nights at Freddy's game in the Afton Family Trilogy, we will be going over Candy Cadet's stories, and what they could possibly mean, Midnight Motorist, and even discussing the supernatural science of possession.
