Justice for Twist! Ryan and Maddy review "gaMe changer," yet another great episode for The Gifted's second season. The Hellfire Club has apprehended Rebecca and locked her up in a spinning cube, but when Andy tries to rescue her, it doesn't end well. The rest of the Strucker family figures out that the kindly doctor helping them actually has Moira/Dr. Sasaki vibes, which is never a good thing. Clarice and John are still arguing over what's left of the Mutant Underground, and Marcos is the depressed third wheel, although the three of them still manage to figure out the Hellfire Club's next move even if they don't manage to stop it. And what is that next move? Taking out the power source for every mutant collar in America. A very poorly guarded power source. Next episode: Listener mail!! The Gifted season two keeps on hitting home runs with "iMprint," an episode focused on the Cuckoos and their backstory. Unlike so many other X-Men adaptations, this one closely aligns with the characters' portrayal in the original comics by clarifying the girls are clones and introducing the other two of the five main Cuckoos. Their heartbreaking backstory of growing up in a lab and being tortured by their human captors clearly influences the way they act today, and it's what ends up driving a wedge (and eventually a renewed alliance) between Esme and Lorna in this episode. We've also learned what the Inner Circle has planned: stealing from Graydon Creed (or at least someone with his last name), who is an anti-mutant financial magnate in this universe. Meanwhile, the Strucker family is still falling apart, and Caitlin still can't let go of her denial about it, plus Jace Turner falls even further into the black hole of far-right radicalization with the Purifiers. Ryan and Maddy are still loving The Gifted, with season 2 delivering yet another great episode in "unMoored." This episode is brought to us by League of Legends, which Andy is playing every night he spends in the Hellfire Club mansion, apparently. But he's keeping his teenage angst secret when it comes to missing his family and especially his sister, and Reeva Payge isn't going to stand for that, since it's interfering with Andy using his powers. Esme Cuckoo and Lorna do their best to protect Andy in their own ways, but at the end of the day, Andy has to admit what's really going on or else Reeva's going to cut him loose (fatally). Meanwhile, the rest of the Strucker family is in a state of complete emotional turmoil and it's fascinating to watch them fall apart. This show is legitimately well-written now! The Gifted aired its finale in two parts, and this is the first half. Unfortunately it's also the more boring half; we'll get to the real action in the next episode. In "eXtraction," Thunderbird, Eclipse, Blink, Lorna and the Cuckoos work together to break into Humanity Today, an anti-mutant conference that Dr. Campbell (or as we always call him, Dr. Krieger) is attending alongside anti-mutant bigot Senator Montez. But that plotline doesn't come to a head until the last five minutes of the episode. Up until then, this is a meandering episode about the Strucker family trying to reconnect with Reed's mom to save her from getting waylaid by Sentinel Services. This plotline goes nowhere and this episode didn't need to exist. Dang it, The Gifted, why are you like this? Next episode: "X-Roads," The Gifted E-mail us your feedback at themutantages@gmail.com or follow us on social media at TheMutantAges, MIDImyers and RyanPagella. "eXploited" is by far the best episode of The Gifted yet, with Esme Cuckoo's machinations on full display and tons of other great scenes in the mix. Blink, Dreamer, and the Strucker kids are in captivity at Trask Laboratories, and the torture has begun. The Strucker parents track down Jace Turner and try to convince him he's doing the wrong thing, and it actually works ... but unfortunately, Esme's plan runs in conflict with that. Next episode: We're taking a brief break from The Gifted to do a special episode about the comic series "X-Terminators" (2022). Feel free to read it along with us! Finally, it's an episode of The Gifted that is pretty much okay. Not amazing, but okay! Esme Cuckoo is here at last for an anti-climactic entrance that does not foreshadow how significant her role is going to end up being, but Maddy and Ryan are very glad to see her nonetheless. Reed Strucker tracks down his estranged father and finds out some family secrets, such as the fact that he has a repressed version of the X-Gene. Also sorry to say we have to talk about some Nazi twins in the Strucker lineage who may or may not have engaged in incest and if that grosses you out, this might not be the episode for you, because, well, the show really seems to be implying that's happening. Next episode: We're figuring it out tbh! We might combine multiple episodes of The Gifted in future coverage because the plot moves pretty slowly.

We talk about Avengers: Age of Ultron and the things you missed if you never read the comics. Learn about Strucker, Wanda, Pietro, Hulk Buster, Ulysses Klaue, and more! Talk with us on Twitter. Strucker is a long lived character in the comics that didn't get much screen time in the movies before being killed off. Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful magic wielders on Earth. Quicksilver was a member of the Avengers when they defeated Kang the Conquerer. In the comics the Iron Legion was a group of people led by War Machine to fight while Tony Stark was comatose. This group included Happy Hogan. Helen Cho is a minor character from the comics that gave birth to a son that eventually became a new Hulk. For a long time, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch were Magneto's children. But, that's been changed, mainly because of rights issues with Marvel and the X-men. There have been several Hulkbuster Armor suits in the comic books. Ultron gets killed in the comics but keeps coming back. Vision was created by Ultron from parts of the original Human Torch android. The Infinity Stones are also known as the Infinity Gems and the Soul Gems. It's true. Jarvis is growing more and more concerned with the growing schism between the MCU and the comics.

Character Corner - A Podcast on Your favorite Comic Book Characters
So it's time to dive into something really good. We're starting our "Into the Hickmanverse" series where we cover the major Marvel runs of Jonathan Hickman. Now if you've been a long time listener, then you'll know that we've not only talked about the works of Hickman a lot but we've also covered a lot of them already. But you're still not going to want to miss this series. First, while we've covered a lot of these stories already, it's really been all over the place. Some have been Character Corners, some have been premium-only Comic Book Book Clubs and some of the more recent stuff (like the current X-Men run) we've been covering on the Pull-List. But this series is going to be us going (mostly) in chronological order, all in one place. Secondly, we've never done the full Hickman run back-to-back-to-back like we are here. And why does that matter? Well, it lets you see how masterfully Hickman connects all of the dots. It also makes it easier to go back once things start clicking and go "hey, wait a minute...didn't that get mentioned here?" We're going to ease into it though with Secret Warriors. Something that could have just been a throwaway tie-in series to Dark Reign centered on Nick Fury. And then Hickman had to go an introduce DaVinci and the Great Wheel (and explain nothing) leaving you confused as to "what the hell was that?". Don't worry. It's by design and we'll dig more into it in Part 2 with the SHIELD series. But for now, just have fun reading about the spycraft of Nick Fury vs Baron von Strucker, the trashiest white trash name of all time, the God of Fear, Gorgon becoming a problem and so much more. Part One: Secret Warriors 1-9, Dark Reign: The List - Secret Warriors, 10-16, Siege: Secret Warriors, 17-28. Like what you hear? Subscribe so you don't miss an episode! In this dramatic series finale of Briarpatch, Allegra sets her plan in motion to take down Gene Colder and everyone else who had a role to play in the death of her sister, Felicity. This all leads to an intense showdown in Packing Town where Allegra and Jake meet with Clyde Brattle, and it is revealed that Chief Raytek was actually the second bomber, killing Strucker to cover her own tracks. A power struggle for the evidence against the senator ensues and results in the deaths of Clyde Brattle, Gene Colder, and Chief Raytek. As Jake walks away, the last man standing, it is revealed that Allegra had the real evidence hidden all along. The group was actually fighting over the wrong recording, the one of Felicity asking none other than Jake Spivey for help. With this shocking reveal, Jake confronts Allegra at her childhood home, unable to pull the trigger, as he lets her walk away victorious in vengeance. With the evidence against the senator in her back pocket, Allegra is relinquished from the clutches of Cyrus and leaves San Bonifacio as a free woman.Follow us on http://www.Twitter.com/AfterBuzzTV "Like" Us on http://www.Facebook.com/AfterBuzzTV For more After Shows for your favorite TV shows and the latest news in TV, Film, and exclusive celebrity interviews, visit http://www.AfterBuzzTV.com --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

It's finally here. Our discussion for the final three episodes of The Gifted season 2. We talk about how the season wrapped up, how the uncertainty of a season 3 might have changed some of the final story points and why we hope there is a season 3. While Reeva didn't get the full development we want, it feels as if the rest of the main cast did. Reed and his sacrifice really worked for us as a complete arc. Also...when you're the only member of your family without super powers, packing heat is a necessity as Caitlin proves. Welcome to Episode 138 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things geek and nerd related, provided our DVR's have space and our Netflix accounts are our own and none others. This week, the a trio of Geeks (Jeff, Jake and Matt Orrin) are back in the space inhabited by Sexpot Comedy, right above Mutiny Information Cafe, for another packed episode of geeky goodness. Talk started with Titans, only available on the DC Universe streaming service. This show has been great and we talked a lot about it. The last episode featured Jason Todd, who appears to have some issues. Was he a rebound for Batman after Dick leaves him? We're looking forward to the Doom Patrol show, especially after their appearance on Titans. We're also looking forward to Swamp Thing, which could change EVERYTHING in the comic book world we all love. Will Constantine show up on the show? Will there be other magic users such as Zatanna? Guess we'll have to wait and find out. Talk of villians led us to the topic of modern day villians, such as Jeff Bezos. He appears to be our version of Lex Luthor, bald head and all! Hopefully, Elon Musk doesn't follow suit and continues to do the cool things he is doing. Someone will need the resources to take down Bezos, and Elon could be the one to do it. Speaking of villians, we switched over to the topic of Gifted and some of its high profile characters such as Lorna aka Polaris. As the daughter of Magneto, will she take on his mantle? Word is that she will put on the cool Magneto helmet. Also, can the Strucker dad burn himself with his lava hands? We talked about whether or not mutants can be effected by their own powers. What are your thoughts? Next up we talk about the CW shows, with Arrow still being on top. Though, how does "evil" Laurel know how to do her job of DA? She wasnt a lawyer, so is it something anyone can do? We also talked about Curtis, aka Mr. Terrific, and how terrific his balls are. His character is starting to get good again. The other shows have been pretty good, with Black Lightning really turning it up. Our featured actor this week was John Ritter, starting with his role in the original IT. He was a very underappreciated actor and had some really good roles. Then we were all over the board talking about Agents of Shield, Flash Gordon, and Harry Potter. Give it a listen and tell us what you think. Some episodes of Broadcast Geeks are recorded at the Comedy RoomRoom inside of El Charrito at 2104 Larimer Street in the heart of Denver's ballpark neighborhood. "Rise and Shine" was just what the second half of Agents of SHIELD season 5 needed: a boost of back story and a motivation for what comes next. Could we be seeing the start of a SHIELD-HYDRA alliance against a common enemy? And what will be the change that prevents the time loop from happening all over again? Join us for show news, commentary and analysis for "Rise and Shine," Faith's CoulSass moments, and our listener feedback segment! This week we talk about Hale's history with HYDRA, von Strucker's connection with Carl Creel, Whitehall's plans for Hale and Ruby, Daisy's decisions as the interim leader, Simmons' surprising embrace of the invulnerability concept, and Fitz's not-so-surprising rejection of the idea of Deke as his grandson. What can you find on the good ship "Principia"? Perhaps the Gravitonium Fitz needs to save the world. The team searches for more of the needed substance so they look for former HYDRA scientists. This leads them to an old friend of Mack's that he calls Candyman. But when they find out the gravitonium ended up on the bottom of the ocean on a sinking ship, they struggle to find it. That's when Deke, who's been trying to find his place while staying out of the way, thinks of an idea. The gravitonium became supercharged and is now floating miles above the earth in the ship. Meanwhile, Ruby Hale tries to get close to Werner von Strucker so her mother can use his abilities for her new team. And Ruby is very good at what she does. Yo-Yo is struggling to cope with her new situation, but Mack is looking for some supplies that could at least give her a hand (or two). Jay and Josh can't touch this on this week's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Case Files.
We're back after a long holiday break but we're getting close to the season finale and things are getting heavy as the Strucker family gets hit with a huge revelation and Eclipse detours to help his old girlfriend out. 3BlackGeeks - Site: www.3blackgeeks.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/3blackgeeks Twitter: @3BlackGeeks Earth2ComicCast - Facebook: www.facebook.com/earth2comiccast/ Twitter: @Earth2ComicCast Youtube: www.youtube.com/channel/UCSJAVbPA…xSYTcgoA/featured
