Venerdì 24 ottobre sarà lutto cittadino a Lusiana Conco per la scomparsa di Pietro Pisapia e Nicola Xausa, morti alle 3 e mezza di domenica mattina mentre a bordo dell'auto di Nicola sfrecciavano ad Asiago finendo la corsa e la loro vita schiantandosi a forte velocità sulla rotatoria. Domani a Creazzo il funerale della terza vittima, Riccardo Gemo.

I cinque ventenni stavano rientrando ad Asiago dopo una festa di compleanno. Nicola, Pietro, Riccardo e assieme a loro gli altri due ragazzi feriti nell'incidente condivideno la passione per lo sci. Alla guida dell'auto ci sarebbe stato NIcola Xausa, di Conco.

È l'interrogativo più inquietante di tutto il Vangelo; inquietante soprattutto perché il Signore l'ha lasciato senza risposta, quasi a dirci che la risposta - positiva o negativa che possa essere - dipende da noi e dalla serietà del nostro impegno. Certo noi sappiamo che la grande comunità di fede, che è la Chiesa, non verrà mai meno al suo compito di essere colonna e fondamento della verità (1 Tm 3,15). Noi abbiamo la garanzia che il gregge di Cristo, affidato a Pietro e agli apostoli (che vivono nei loro successori, cioè il papa e i vescovi), resterà fino alla fine del tempo, quando Gesù "di nuovo verrà nella gloria" e porrà i sigilli conclusivi a questa vicenda di dolore e di colpa che è la storia umana. Noi siamo certi che la barca di Pietro, sempre squassata, sempre in pericolo di essere sommersa dalle ondate delle forze che con accanimento le si oppongono, non affonderà mai perché c'è il Signore con lei. La Chiesa non può essere vinta né dall'odio dei molti che inspiegabilmente la combattono, forse perché non possono sopportare il suo messaggio di luce e di amore, né dalla menzogna di quanti continuamente avvolgono di falsità i suoi atti, le sue parole, le sue intenzioni, la sua storia. La Chiesa non perirà neppure per la debolezza e l'incoerenza di coloro che ne fanno parte, cioè di noi, che spesso per la nostra insipienza e la nostra grettezza d'animo veliamo di bruttezza il volto incantevole della Sposa di Cristo. Ma la domanda evangelica potrebbe essere precisata e limitata così: il Signore, quando verrà, troverà ancora la fede, la vita cristiana, la comunità ecclesiale qui, nella nostra regione, nella nostra città, nel nostro quartiere, in mezzo al nostro popolo? In questo caso di assicurazioni tranquillizzanti non ne abbiamo più: tutto dipende dalla nostra capacità di mantenere vitale la nostra concreta famiglia di credenti, con lo slancio missionario della nostra fede e l'incisività coraggiosa della nostra testimonianza, con l'intensità e l'autenticità delle nostre celebrazioni, con la determinazione di vivere veramente e fattivamente da fratelli anche al di fuori dei nostri raduni liturgici, in tutti i campi della vita associata.LA NECESSITÀ DI PREGARE SEMPRE Come elemento essenziale per la sopravvivenza dentro di noi e fuori di noi della fede e della vita battesimale, la pagina odierna di Luca ci presenta la preghiera, e così ci invita ad approfondire appunto questo tema nella nostra riflessione settimanale. Bisogna pregare sempre e non stancarsi mai, ci ha detto Gesù. E qui già ci sentiamo toccati sul vivo, noi che fatichiamo a dare a Dio l'attenzione di pochi minuti al giorno, al mattino e alla sera; noi che talvolta crediamo di fare un grande favore al Signore se partecipiamo alla messa domenicale; noi che non sappiamo sorreggere con la preghiera i momenti importanti o difficili dell'esistenza: le gioie, le pene, le ansietà, le stanchezze, le speranze, che accompagnano il nostro cammino sulla terra. Pregare sempre. Perché? Perché sempre dipendiamo da colui che ci ha creati; perché sempre dobbiamo guardare al Padre nostro del cielo che alla conclusione dei nostri giorni ci aspetta a casa, se vogliamo che il nostro pellegrinaggio terreno abbia un senso; perché l'uomo non è mai così grande e così davvero uomo, come quando entra in dialogo con colui che misteriosamente, per amore, l'ha chiamato alla vita: un dialogo semplice, schietto, confidente, affettuoso; un dialogo nel quale possiamo chiedere tutto, noi che abbiamo bisogno di tutto, lasciando ogni ultima decisione alla sapienza di Dio; un dialogo pieno di verità, che immancabilmente ci farà apparire senza consistenza e senza valore molte delle parole umane che quotidianamente siamo costretti ad ascoltare. Dobbiamo pregare sempre perché siamo sempre un po' colpevoli e abbiamo sempre bisogno di farci perdonare qualcosa. Perciò il Signore ci ha invitato a chiedere, con il pane, anche la nostra razione quotidiana di perdono. La nostra invocazione più adatta non può dunque essere quella della vedova della parabola: Fammi giustizia, ma quella del pubblicano, che la liturgia così spesso ci suggerisce: Abbi pietà di me.PREGARE IN GESÙ CRISTO Però dobbiamo pregare da cristiani. Che cosa significa "da cristiani"? Significa come discepoli del Signore Gesù, il quale spesso si ritirava in solitudine sulle cime dei monti per parlare col Padre: tutta la sua vita è stata una continua orazione, un atto ininterrotto di adorazione e di amore. Significa appoggiarsi a Cristo, il quale in cielo è sempre vivo per intercedere a nostro favore (cf. Eb 7,25). La prima lettura ci ha descritto la scena di Mosè che, sul monte, con le sue braccia alzate nella supplica diventava garanzia di vittoria per il suo popolo. Ma il vero Mosè è il Signore Gesù: proprio perché sappiamo che è alla destra del Padre sempre intento a implorare per noi, siamo certi che la vittoria vera, di là da ogni deludente apparenza, è sempre nostra. La vittoria della Chiesa trova la sua ragione, più che nella nostra attività, nelle braccia alzate in preghiera del suo Signore. Pregare da cristiani vuol dire riconoscere che, come Cristo ha toccato il vertice della sua orazione nel sacrificio offerto sulla croce, così anche per noi il momento culminante e irrinunciabile della preghiera è la partecipazione al sacrificio di Cristo che si ripresenta e si rinnova nella messa. «Il cristiano dunque sa che la sua preghiera è Gesù; ogni sua preghiera parte da Gesù; è lui che prega in noi, con noi, per noi. Tutti coloro che credono in Dio pregano; ma il cristiano prega in Gesù Cristo: Cristo è la nostra preghiera!» (Giovanni Paolo II).CHIEDERE CON INSISTENZA, SENZA PAURA Ma il Signore oggi ci ha anche raccontato una parabola per esortarci a non temere di insistere con le nostre domande rivolte al cielo. È una parabola pittoresca, nella quale noi siamo paragonati a una vedova molesta e seccatrice, ma Dio addirittura è raffigurato in un giudice disonesto. Gesù vuol dirci che Dio desidera essere disturbato da noi: non dobbiamo avere paura di importunarlo. Vuol dirci anche che Dio sempre ci ascolta, qualunque cosa gli chiediamo, anche se poi ci esaudisce non tanto secondo la letteralità delle nostre richieste, quanto secondo la conoscenza che egli ha del nostro vero bene.
