Putting together VideoFuzzy ep. 100 -- coffee certainly helps! Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 100th episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. This set covers discs 1751 to 1800 in my Classic Collection. I open with a project overview highlighting some of my finds. For my Fuzzy Feature, I encountered the 100th episode of "Bones" that recalled the first case Booth and Bones worked on together. I found a similar story construction in "In Plain Sight," and talked about that one as well. Under Cross Connections I trace Golden Threads Todd Giebenhain and, later, Michael Shamus Wiles. Also, appearances by Amy Acker, Lee Majors, Kathy Najimy, Bryan Batt, Alan Ruck, Stephen Root, Katie Sackhoff, Mark Bergeron, Angela Bassett, Sarah Silverman, Rita Moreno, Dana Delany, Sheryl Crow, Mary Pat Gleason, Marc A. Sheppard, Charlotte Arren, Johnny Broderick, Cyd Cherise, Fred Astaire, Jane Lynch, Olivia Munn and Brian Skala. And under Fond Reflections, love for Michelle Trachtenberg of "Buffy," "Mercy" and "Six Feet Under," and I share some headcanon from an "Angel" chat group I was in. In Video Outreach, I share comments from author and fellow podcaster Kemper Donovan on my review of "Loose Lips," available here: https://bit.ly/3C11ENN Kemper hosts the "All About Agatha" podcast here: https://bit.ly/43j4hnB Then I chat with my sister, Patti Ellingson, about shows we've enjoyed, including "Doctor Who," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Bridgerton" and "Stranger Things." I know I've mentioned my sister's influence on my television viewing different times over the course of this production, and this felt like a fantastic opportunity to chat with her directly. So much fun! In my Classic Collection, I take almost a disc-by-disc deep dive on what I was finding in this set, beginning with a third meet-cute storyline I encountered in this set: the first season finale of "Human Target." Also, comments on "Arrested Development," "The Simpsons," "FlashForward," "Archer," "24," "Caprica," "Community," "Mercy," "Ugly Betty," "Parks and Recreation," "Justified," 2002 and 2005 MTV Movie Award shows, "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report," "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" C-SPAN coverage of the Affordable Care Act, "Breaking Bad," "The Big Bang Theory," "Jawbreaker," "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" "Batman Returns," "The Three Faces of Eve," "Sybil," Union activity at The Minot Daily News, "Star Trek Voyager," "Fawlty Towers," "Monty Python's Flying Circus," commercials and music videos, "LOST," "Cougar Town," "Castle," "Fringe," "Chuck," "Broadway Melody of 1940," "Silk Stockings," "V" and "Damages." Also surfacing in this cataloging effort I found home movies, including a one-act presented at the Carnegie Center in Minot in 2002 or so called "Excerpts." Friends of mine read from books in my collection: https://bit.ly/3DslFO6 It's a bit silly, but if you think of books on your shelves murmuring to one another, that was the idea I was going for. Then, from 100 episodes, I share 100 clips! But there'd only be 99, right? Well, one of the clips I shared referenced outtakes from a "Michael Caine in Space" sketch on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" which, at the time, I had trouble locating. Since then, I was able to locate it here: https://bit.ly/4hnn9XM Enjoy! Finally, in What I've Been Watching, Ralph and I took in Larry Shue's "The Nerd" at the Vernal Theatre downtown, and I shared some thoughts. The company closes out its season with a production of Cole Porter's "Kiss Me Kate" coming up in mid-April, and we're looking forward to it. Tickets and information at https://www.vernaltheatre.com. TOP FIFTEEN: Here's a "Top Fifteen" episode guide for people looking for a quick read-in on this blog and podcast effort: https://videofuzzy.libsyn.com/about. Enjoy!

Today on the show, I share my review of the 2024 Great American Pure Flix movie "Average Joe," featuring Eric Close, Amy Acker, Ezra Richardson, and Anabelle Holloway. This true story illustrates the impact one man can have on others when he surrenders to God and stands up for the truth, even if it means doing so alone. Listen and then stand boldly for Jesus!

Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 98th episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. This set covers discs 1701 to 1725 in my Classic Collection. A hilarious sketch from "The Catherine Tate Show" [https://bit.ly/3C2ynT0] touches off my Fuzzy Feature, the two-part 2009-2010 "Doctor Who" Christmas special, "The End of Time." In Cross Connections I highlight appearances by several actors in shows I cataloged in this set, including Amy Acker, Stan Lee, then with the pilot episode of "Parenthood," I encountered so many direct links throughout my media collection including Peter Krause, Lauren Graham, Craig T. Nelson and Mike O'Malley. Fond reflections on Andre Braugher, David Lynch and Linda Lavin, and with his appearance in "Psych," I highlighted actor Bruce Davison as a Golden Thread in my collection. In my Classic Collection, I chat about the 2010 White House Summit on Health Care Reform, and draw connections to "The West Wing" season seven episode "The Debate." Also, The Simpsons 20th Anniversary special, "Dollhouse," "Nip/Tuck" and Stephen Colbert highlighting Eduard Khil, "The Trololo Guy" [https://bit.ly/40dSaqE] in one of his episodes. In What I've Been Watching, a friend of mine in Minot, Brent Braniff, put together a 20-minute Minneapolis travelogue called "Friends, Family and Waterfalls" [https://bit.ly/4g4lpSA] Also, comments on "Big Bear" (2017) and "Promising Young Woman" (2020). Finally, I was able to make some progress on my back catalog. Episodes 1 through 15 have been remastered and now deemed to be fit for human consumption. Enjoy!
Are you drawn to underdog stories like I am? Have you ever witnessed ordinary people who find themselves in extraordinary circumstances and rise to the occasion? You don't want to miss out on this episode where I talk to Andy Erwin, producer of the film Ordinary Angels, about the uplifting and emotional film based on this true story. This is a story of a hairdresser who becomes a hero and a friend to a widowed father and his two daughters. Andrew and I discuss: The shift in faith-based films The impact of telling authentic stories The criticism and challenges faced by Christian films Friends, we get the scoop on the story behind the film Ordinary Angels and how it came to be. Andrew tells us about the involvement of Dave Matthews and John Berg in championing the project. He also touches on the message of the film, which focuses on finding purpose and the church as a place of hope. I love to see excellence portrayed in faith-based films. That's why I loved watching Ordinary Angels in theaters, and I hope you go watch it too! If you've seen the film, head on over to Instagram and let's show Andrew some love. All of us are desperately in need of redemption and hope. Takeaways Faith-based films are experiencing a shift towards more authentic storytelling. The film 'Ordinary Angels' was inspired by a true story and championed by Dave Matthews and John Berg. The film explores the themes of purpose and the church as a place of hope. Christian films should strive for authenticity and not shy away from portraying real-life struggles. ⋇ Convoy of Hope - Empowering Women and Girls Together Donate here ⋇ Order Bianca's new book GRIT DON'T QUIT ⋇ The Grit Don't Quit Bible Study is now available. ⋇ So grateful to our sponsors! Ryan and Maddy struggle through "eXit strategy," the fourth episode of The Gifted, which features a prison break that results in Lorna (and Reed) finally rejoining the Mutant Underground. You'd think that would make us happy, and Emma Dumont does get some incredible moments as Lorna, but other than that this episode is a total slog. Blink's character has been completely reduced to "woman who has a crush on John," and John suddenly has a new backstory with the mutant Pulse who can disarm electronics and mutant powers. Marcos briefly revisits his former life as a lackey for a drug ring, which is another side-plot that feels like wasted time. Amy Acker and Emma Dumont are still the best actors on this show, but all the dialogue sounds identical and boring, so it's hard to feel anything other than sorry for the performers doing their best with this material. After recording this, we decided we needed a break, so we'll open up the mailbag. Next episode: Listener mail! If you like what you hear, please consider supporting us via patreon.com/themutantages. Thanks!
Maddy and Ryan are only on the third-ever episode of The Gifted, and already Maddy is worried that the show has run out of ideas. Not good! Polaris is still in prison; Caitlin is still a privileged white lady who doesn't understand bigotry against mutants (or anybody else, probably). Emma Dumont and Amy Acker are still putting in their best performances, but the writing isn't always there to back them up. Worst of all, Blink's got a new storyline as of this episode and it already sucks ass. It's enough to inspire us to take a little break from The Gifted for our next episode and watch something a lot more fun... Next episode: "A Touch of Brimstone," The Avengers E-mail us your feedback at themutantages@gmail.com or follow us on social media at TheMutantAges, MIDImyers and RyanPagella. If you like what you hear, please consider supporting us via patreon.com/themutantages. Thanks!
Maddy and Ryan find that the second episode of The Gifted is almost as good as the pilot, with the exception of some superfluous interrogation scenes between Jace Turner and Reed Strucker. This TV show remains a showcase of Amy Acker and Emma Dumont's acting prowess, and it's nice to see both of them getting their chances to shine. We know this show goes off the rails at some point, but for now, it's still thrilling. Next episode: "eXodus," The Gifted E-mail us your feedback at themutantages@gmail.com or follow us on social media at TheMutantAges, MIDImyers and RyanPagella. If you like what you hear, please consider supporting us via patreon.com/themutantages. Thanks!
After a little break to reset, Maddy and Ryan return to a biweekly release schedule and debut their review of The Gifted pilot episode, "eXposed." Emma Dumont and Amy Acker win one trillion acting awards from us for their performances here, but they're not alone -- this is a strong pilot episode! Ryan remembers The Gifted going off the rails at some point, but much like Wolverine and the X-Men, this series opens strong. Next episode: "rX," The Gifted (S01E02) E-mail us your feedback at themutantages@gmail.com or follow us on social media at TheMutantAges, MIDImyers and RyanPagella. If you like what you hear, please consider supporting us via patreon.com/themutantages. Thanks!

It's the finale of Drive (2007)! Is that exciting? Is it a relief? Guests Chris Hayner and Harry Nelson can't really even agree with themselves on a verdict. One thing we can all agree on is that Drive is definitely over and Wendy Petrakas, like her creator Tim Minear, is forever trapped in an endless cycle of abuse.
Jordy Bogguss joins us for episode 4 of Drive, a love/fright letter to Taryn Manning and absolutely nothing else. OK, maybe also that stunt from episode 2. @JordyBogguss @DerickArmijo @SingleSeasonTV @singleseasonrecord

We will be really happy we promise! All our Links: https://linktr.ee/seasononepodSeason Spoiler Synopsis: Happy Town is a 2010 American television series about the events of a small town in Minnesota named Haplin. We find Haplin in the midst of a peaceful period of time, until a series of unsolved kidnappings continues. We open the series with Georgia (played by Sarah Gadon) walking home at night and hearing and nearly witnessing a murder. This man was revealed to be a member of their little town who was suspected long ago to be the “Magic Man”. someone whom the town suspects is behind all these kidnappings, with “an ability to make people disappear that bordered on the mystical.” The townsfolk are disturbed by Jerry Friddle's murder, which revives the memories of the Magic Man. Deputy Tommy Conroy (played by Geoff Stults) is tasked with solving Jerry's murder, and ends up on the hunt for the Magic Man. Tommy's wife Rachel Conroy (played by Amy Acker) is taken by the Magic Man, which is confirmed by the presence of dead flowers on the door step of the victim's family. Rachel is returned to Tommy and the town safe after Tommy and Merritt Greives (played by Sam Neill) start digging into the Magic Man's past and past victims. Town secrets are rushed to be protected as it seems many of influence in the town seem to know more about the Magic Man and the disappearances than has been made official in public records. We see the series end with Henley Boone (Lauren German) presenting a hammer that was used to murder Tommy's mother Alice (Dee Wallace) who was previously believed to have passed in an accidental tumble down the stairs, Tommy confronts his father about his mother's death, and Griff (Sheriff Griffin Conroy, played by M. This Week on the Podcast I have none other than the amazing Amy Acker. Amy is a Psychotherapist, Integrative Life Coach, Published Author & Poet. Amy has been a client of mine for over a year and it's been such a joy to be on the journey with her. She is a beautiful and intelligent woman (in fact she is really a bonafide intellectual) who holds so much wisdom. In this interview Amy talks about: Her experience being in a deep freeze during the beginning of this work while also being VERY high-functioning. Her journey of growing her nervous system capacity & some of the resistance that showed up along the way. The difference between understanding the nervous system on a mental and intellectual level vs connecting to your own nervous system and where it is in its own process. Nothing is what it seems in the subversive 2011 comedy horror The Cabin in the Woods. Hosts Robert Lendrum and Jamie Roberts walk through this homage and tear down of the horror genre and ask did the Harbinger really warn them about anything? Are the Ancient Gods just a bunch of horror nerds like us? What parts of this movie flip expectations and which parts deserve Jamie's approval as "classic horror"? And what does Jamie have in his interrogation room?
