Send us a textThis week on Broadway Besties, Amy and Mark dive headfirst into the 2025 Tony Award nominations — and let's just say, they have thoughts. From the shockers to the sure-things, the snubs to the standouts, no nominee is safe from their (loving) judgment.Do they agree on who deserves the win? (Spoiler: absolutely not.)Will Mark throw dramatic shade? (Always.)Does Amy deliver the most unhinged but oddly accurate predictions? (Naturally.)Plus, they dish on red carpet hopes, their dream acceptance speeches, and who they're rooting for even if it won't happen. Grab your playbills, it's Tony season and the Besties are ready to rant, rave, and manifest some wins.

This week a pair of films with recording methods used for devious purposes. Harry Caul is the best wiretapper on the West Coast. His skill is almost as widely known as his intense privacy, complete professional detachment, and closed off nature, born from the guilt after a previous job that resulted in the multiple murders. When Harry pulls of the impossible and captures a complete conversation in an open and crowded square, he finds his professional standard wavering as his fear of repeating the past begins to grown. Widely acknowledged as one of Francis Ford Coppola's best films and one of the best films from the 1970s, The Conversation. Mark is a journalist who needs a break from war zones and is assigned to interview Steve and John, the Canadian makers of an internet sensation and cultural breakthrough porn site. When the original deal is upended by the subjects, they pick up Beth and her friend, and Mark suddenly finds himself on a ride along he never would have imagined. Instead of cheap adult content, he finds himself caught in a revenge plot and driven out into the woods. Will Mark make it home to see his new born child? Does Steve actually possess the golden gift of gab he has built his brand on? Just who is this Beth and what is her connection to the site? The first film from Jeffery Andersen, a rape revenge thriller in the Norther Vancouver woods, Deeper: The Retribution of Beth. All that and Kevin attended a fancy event, Dave fears the creeping tinnitus, and Tyler faces the toughest choice of his life. Join us, won't you? Episode 386: Shallow Noise

Pfister Tweetables (For Social Media Use): “If we fast-forward to today, I truly am laser-focused in the scene of leadership and board director areas. It's really a way that I view as making the biggest impact relating to strategy, governance, and leadership.” — Mark A. Pfister “We have to understand that strategy is inextricably linked to governance and risk. You can't really be good in one and not really focus on the others; they kind of come in this package deal.” — Mark A. Pfister “Strategy [can be applied] in such a way that it will change the way that you lead, it will change the way that you govern, [and] it will change your success in many cases in any position you are in your organization.” — Mark A. Pfister “I think we're in a period where [strategy is] looked at much differently. I think we have to view strategy as a set of guiding principles that generate a desired pattern of integrated decision making.” — Mark A. Pfister

We have received a lot of questions about Lori Vallow's attorney, Mark Means. Who is he and is there something weird going on? Join the Lawyer's You Know, Peter Tragos and George Tragos (big George) to discuss. This case continues to grip the nation, and it's already getting the Lifetime movie treatment. Lori Vallow Daybell was arrested and charged with the murder of her children after the kids' remains were found last year on Chad Daybell's property in Idaho. The couple was said to be involved in a doomsday prepper cult anticipating the end of the world. Some of the topics we cover in this video:- Mark Means is not death penalty certified & what that means. - Was he court-appointed? - Did Lori want Mark for a better chance at an appeal?- Why do you think the court-appointed him if he is not a crim attorney?- Will Mark be asked to co-console if not fit for this case?- Should we give mark means props for getting Lori declared incompetent like many other lawyers have failed to do so in other cases?- Is Mark Means only looking for fame?- Is mark means also a part of lsd?#lawyeryouknow #lorivallow #markmeans
