Real Men, released September 25th in 1987, is a comedy that is definitely also a sci-fi. A James Bond-esq CIA agent has to team up with a meek family man to stop rogue agents and the Russians from getting their hands on 'The Big Gun'. We're joined by rapper Clue to unravel the plot of this film that, again, is definitely a sci-fi. Kino club is a group of friends who love to watch movies and then get together and talk about them. These podcasts will contain spoilers and we have been known to occasionally swear. And I actually think Mike was drinking a cocktail during this episode. In this episode we take a look at the 2010, animated movie, Batman: Under the Red Hood. This movie has some great villains and heroes. And during our conversation, some of question who is the villain and who was the hero. We had a "spirited" conversation about this film and we delved deep into Batman's legacy and history as well as this piece of Batman's story. Check this out and then tell us what you think.
In this episode, the Mythos Boys talk about animated films based on Marvel and DC properties. We talk about film we like, like "Under The Red Hood". Matty P Radio Presents: Marks v. Pros & Saturday Morning Cereal
Take some time this week to remember your original happy hour: Saturday mornings as a kid, waking up at dawn, jumping on the couch with a bowl of chocolate cereal, turning on the ‘toons, tuning out the outside world and working your way into a sugar hangover before noon. This week Grim Shea, Marke, and Jimmy the Gent sit down to discuss DC’s first dive into the interactive movie fray- Batman: Death In The Family The boys over at 3Palms Studios have gathered together once again to talk about the history of arguably the least popular Robin, Jason Todd. From his origins as the Dark Knight’s sidekick, to fans voting for his brutal death at the hands of the Joker, and the iconic Under The Red Hood, which leads us to our thoughts on Batman: Death In The Family. Just like in 1988 when you could call a 900 number to decide Robin's fate, now you can explore different fates for Jason. Decide if Jason dies, Robin cheats death, or Batman saves him, what happens to Jason is ultimately up to you. The Lads also share thier New York Comic Con 2020 chat (via virtual roundtable) with Producer/Director/Writer Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood), the voice of Bruce Wayne Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek), the voice of Jason Todd Vincent Martella (Phineas and Ferb), and Zehra Fazal (Young Justice) as the voice of Talia al Ghul. What will you do? Kill the Joker? Let him live? Run away and start your own boy band? To say much more about the actual movie might ruin it for you, but you can listen in as we chinwag about our favorite endings and why Jason Todd deserved better from DC. You say you want your own copy and don’t care what we think about it? Follow.Like.Retweet.@SDBATMAN66 or @StayclassySDCC and you might just win a copy.

For this episode, in news ...there ain't much, but we will see what we can dig up for you. Then in what we've been watching Jake has watched the animated Batman movie Under The Red Hood and I dig up some old reviews I have been holding on to along with giving my thoughts on The Lion King remake. All that and not much more on this very small but still entertaining episode of Flicks!
Look, the original episode was going to be a commentary of "Under The Red Hood" but the internet went out, and the other was more rambly than this. Jordan talks about Snyder's thoughts on "Batman Kills", the most recent Nightwing arc, Titans Season 2, and the awfulness of Hollywood being risk adverse (and doing diversity + inclusion just as a marketing thing, rather than "because it's a good thing, actually") concluding with the the great debate of creativity - Online vs TV/Film. Also, tons of memories of The Warner Brothers Studio Store and why they really dropped the ball on NOT bringing that back in the 2000s.
Which Batman Cartoon Movie is king? Mask of the Phantasm? Under The Red Hood?
“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” Gordon nerds out in this episode as we cover the second DC character ever on the podcast: The Dark Knight aka Batman. We go through what makes him different than other heros, what his villians say about him, and the Gospel messages seen within it all. #WelcometotheAdventure Media References: 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley (Book) '1984' by George Orwell (Book) 'The Greatest Showman' (Movie) 'Firefly' (TV Show) 'Batman: The Killing Joke' (Graphic Novel) 'Batman: The Dark Knight Returns' (Graphic Novel) 'Dark Knight Trilogy' by Christopher Nolan(Movie Series) 'Batman: Under the Red Hood' (Graphic Novel) Email: thechristinculture@gmail.com Twitter: @OnTheAdventure2 Facebook: www.facebook.com/theChristInCulture YouTube: www.youtube.com/channel/UCxgPx2b0MYUziwxT9cmtuwg
First, a heartfelt goodbye to industry legend Stan Lee.Then a showdown between two adapatations of Batman Comics.
Hey guys. This is one of those ideas that you formulate because you want to see your favourite character in something, and not necessarily because it seems like a good plan. I really want to see Jason Todd (not original but best Red Hood) in the DC cinematic universe. I think the world is gritty enough to support the origins of the character, his robust and angsty nature, and the possibility of killing him off. We've already been blessed by a pretty great adaptation of the Under The Red Hood comic, so this movie will have to be original, and depart from the classic telling. Similarly, if you modernize it too much, you risk treading on the Arkham Knight portrayal which is fantastic, but not what I see being integrated in the film 'verse. Jason Todd will still be the reckless, orphan boy who is discovered whilst trying to pry the tires off the Batmobile, but we will see a depth to his origin, a desire to help others, and also the skewed sense of justice and violence that we come to expect from him in his later years. It's after his death, at the hands of the Joker and Harley Quinn, that we discover a fraction in the League of Assassins. Talia Al Ghul and her loyalist members (like Bronze Tiger, Lady Shiva, etc.) fracture away from Ra's Al Ghul after witnessing his reliance on the Joker for his latest scheme. They feel his direction is off, and the time for his daughter to lead the empire is now. Talia convinces her followers that the revival and utilization of the dead Robin is a top priority, and he will be a crucial general in their eventual plans and battles. But in truth, she wants to bring him back for love of her "Detective" and hopes that reviving his lost son will curry her favour with Bruce. As Jason is smuggled into a hidden (and some said tainted) Lazarus Pit, his body and the cave are prepared for a ritual. I won't go too much more into it, but the waters revive Jason and bestow upon him unique powers and armour unseen before. Somewhere between shimmering glassine alien materials, and a daemonic energy and presence, The Red Hood is born again formidable and thankfully new enough that we haven't seen this dog and pony show before. Yes his reflective helmet will stay, but will look unique enough to suggest that perhaps he is a creature from the beyond, and not just a man under the mask.I've got a feeling none of this will end up in the DC world, no matter the medium, but hey. Enjoy the ramblings none the less. Also God of Four continues to be awesome. I have a soft spot for games that reflect cosmetically the upgrades you give your armour and stuff. So every additional dwarven detail or gold border to the Leviathan Axe makes me drool that little bit more.Stay alive out there guys, let me know what you like/hate this week.Cheers

Mako invites Erika on to talk about Under The Red Hood, the DC Animated movie that made Jason cool again. What can I say, he has good taste...We also have some talk about "Hawkeye: My Life As A Weapon". Tune in to listen!
We finish of our look at Batman with more animated adventure: Under The Red Hood, Batman: Year One and The Dark knight Returns Parts 1 and 2.
