Think about the last time you heard a powerful message — a word that landed so hard you thought it would change everything. Now think about where that word is today. Most people never ask that question. And the enemy is counting on that.Matthew 13 contains a parable that Jesus told to the crowd — and then pulled His disciples aside to explain privately. Not because the crowd could not hear it. Because most of them would never understand what He was actually revealing about the way the enemy operates against every single person who sits in a service, watches a message, or opens a Bible. There is something that happens the MOMENT the Word of God enters your hearing. Something that most believers have experienced hundreds of times — and have never once identified as the enemy's hand.It is not random. It is not coincidence. It is a strategy — one that is so consistent, so precise, so immediate that Jesus described it with a single word in the interpretation of this parable that most people read past without stopping. Here is what makes this dangerous — the enemy does not wait. He does not give the Word time to settle. He does not attack it after it has taken root. His move happens at a moment that is so close to the receiving that by the time most people realize what occurred — the Word is already gone. And here is the part that nobody is teaching — there is a specific condition that makes the enemy's strategy completely ineffective. A condition that when present stops him from being able to do what he does every single time. Jesus described it clearly in the same passage. But it requires something from you that most believers have never been shown how to cultivate. What is that condition? What is the specific word Jesus used to describe the timing of the enemy's move? And what does the 100-fold, 60-fold, 30-fold at the end of this parable reveal about what the enemy fears more than anything you could ever do against him?
The fear that holds so many captive loses its power when you realize death has already been defeated.

Greatest Fear Becomes RealityFear is something many single and widowed moms quietly carry, especially after loss or trauma. In this episode, Laurie Apon shares personal insight and biblical truth to address the lie that fear causes painful outcomes. Through Scripture, testimony, and encouragement, this conversation reminds listeners that God is sovereign, fear does not override His will, and nothing in your story has taken Him by surprise. You will be encouraged to release shame, confront fear with truth, and trust God's presence and grace even when what you feared has come to pass.Key TakeawaysFear does not create reality or override God's sovereignty. When feared outcomes happen, they are not your fault and are not evidence of failure or lack of faith.Scripture clarifies that God allows trials, but fear itself is a tool the enemy uses to add shame.God may use fear as preparation, not permission, and He remains present through every season.Forgiveness is essential for healing and freedom, even when the pain is ongoing and complex.Scripture ReferencedJob 3:25Proverbs 29:25Ecclesiastes 11:4Psalm 56:32 Timothy 1:7John 21:20–22Connect with Perspective MinistriesTo learn more about encouragement and biblical resources for widows and families raising fatherless children, visit Perspective Ministries. In this episode, Robert explores the real fear that drives most investing mistakes and why avoiding losses at all costs often leads to underperformance. He reframes risk through the lens of capital preservation, explains how process matters more than prediction, and walks through how narrative, fundamentals, and technicals come together when identifying high upside opportunities. Robert also answers a listener question on trimming oversized winners versus letting compounding work, and closes with a mindset discussion on discipline, resilience, and staying focused through both drawdowns and bull runs.

Alright my friends—this one's a little different. For Episode 452 of The IMPACT Show, I flip the microphone and let my good friend, business partner and brother in arms, Travis Barnes, take over as host of the podcast. If you don't know Travis, he's the co-founder of IMPACT-X Performance, a fellow Fit-Pro, author, speaker, husband, father, and someone who has been through the fire and has come out even stronger. He's also a man of faith, incredible perseverance, and someone I truly respect. In this week's episode, Travis interviews me on all the BIG NEWS, with the recent announcement of IXP—San Diego. We talk everything from faith, fear, vision, purpose, and what it's like to be building something brand new again with IMPACT-X Performance San Diego. We go deep on what it means to trust God in the uncertainty, why there's beauty in being scared, and how every chapter of growth requires us to let go, step up, and lead with heart. Here's some of what we dive into: The backstory behind IMPACT-X San Diego—what it really is, who it's for, and why it's more than just another gym. The difference between Fitness Quest 10 and this next chapter—and how experience, faith, and team play a huge role. The beauty in the grind and why being scared is often a sign you're exactly where you're supposed to be. What it means to build from a place of abundance, not fear. How faith, recovery, and personal growth are woven into the DNA of Impact X. A heartfelt tribute to my partner Jeff Bristol and my entire team who's supporting me unequivocally. Reflections from my 2001 self (25-years ago) to my 75-year-old future self—and the lessons learned in between. The power of gratitude, faith, and family, and how Melanie's support has been the foundation through every chapter. My friends, ask yourself this week: "Would my younger self say 'thank you' to the person you are today?" If not, what do you need to change—today—to make thatanswer a "yes"? And while you're at it, reach out to someone who's impacted your life. Shoot them a message. Say thank you. Speak life into them. This episode is near and dear to my heart. It's raw. It's real. It's about faith over fear, purpose over comfort, and trusting the process even when you can't see the finish line. I hope it inspires you to chase your calling with courage, gratitude, and a deep trust that there's beauty in every step—even the scary ones. With that being said, BUCKLE-UP. IMPACT-X Performance (San Diego) is about 90-days away and I haven't felt this level of excitement in a long, long time. Spooky cinema is at an all-time commercial peak, and in recent years, folk horror -- a subgenre of horror focusing on nature, isolation and paranoia -- has taken over the mainstream. Its frights are derived from the scariest villain of all: ourselves. But the genre isn't new. So why are these stories resonating with so many horror fans right now?

Verse for discussion: https://vedabase.io/en/library/sb/2/3/17/ If we look towards Kṛṣṇa in this lifetime, even though we're still within the material modes of nature, if we're utilizing our time to glorify Kṛṣṇa, then we won't be affected by the external circumstances. Kṛṣṇa mentions in the Bhagavad Gītā that such a person is never disturbed or concerned with the external goings-on of the senses and their objects in the material world. And Prabhupāda also quotes Bhagavad Gītā 2.40, where it says: nehābhikrama-nāśo 'sti pratyavāyo na vidyate sv-alpam apy asya dharmasya trāyate mahato bhayāt This means that if one can utilize even a little bit of time for Kṛṣṇa Consciousness, then it protects one from the danger of completely misusing the human form of life and gliding back down again into the lower species. That's the greatest fear, but that can be mitigated by even a little bit of endeavor in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Then Prabhupāda gives this metaphor of a drug. The implication here is, if even a little bit can save one from the most dangerous type of fear, why not give more? Why not increase the ratio of the time one uses in this world to use it for Kṛṣṇa? Prabhupāda then makes a point about transcendent topics. Kṛṣṇa katha is like an injection or an anesthesia. In anesthesia, they are given injection, and once you take it, once the drug is induced into the brain, then you go into a state of deep sleep—anesthetized. In a similar way, he says, if you hear from devotees about Kṛṣṇa, then it acts just as effectively as such a drug. This drug you take by hearing is taken through the ear, and then it'll have an effect on our whole body, mind, and life. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Loneliness is not simply a symptom. It is a strategy—an unconscious, defensive medicine against the terror of intimacy. We often assume people “suffer” from loneliness, but for many with insecure or avoidant attachment styles, chronic or pathological loneliness is less an affliction than an unconscious solution. In other words: loneliness is the antidote they have chosen against the unbearable poison of love.

Are You Winning a Game You Secretly Hate? This episode confronts a fear greater than failure: the fear of achieving success in a life you don't actually want. Anchored by a philosopher's poignant quote, Randy and Greg dissect the "wrong ladder" syndrome—the common trap of chasing societal or familial expectations at the expense of personal fulfillment and joy. They share deeply personal stories about climbing the corporate ladder, parental influence, and the courage it takes to pivot. Listeners will learn the importance of self-awareness, defining their own version of success, and practical, actionable steps to transition from a life of regret to one of purpose and time freedom. Key Takeaways: The greatest fear isn't failure, but succeeding at a game you never wanted to play. It takes immense courage to first recognize you're on the wrong ladder, and even more to choose a different one. Parental influence, whether direct or indirect, can unknowingly set you on a path that isn't true to yourself. True success often lies in consistency and enjoying the process, not just in the speed of achievement. Acceptance of your current situation is not giving up; it's establishing the necessary starting point for a meaningful pivot. A practical 3-step plan for leaving a life you don't want involves: 1) Focusing on personal development, 2) Getting your finances in order, and 3) Setting a firm date to make a change. Gratitude for what you've already accomplished can alleviate the anxiety of constantly striving for more Questions Answered in This Episode: What is the one fear that is more important than the fear of failure? How do you recognize if you are "climbing the wrong ladder" in your career or life? What are the consequences of chasing a version of success that isn't your own? How can parental expectations influence your life path without you realizing it? What practical steps can you take today to start leaving a job or life you're unhappy with? Why is "acceptance" a powerful tool for change, not a sign of giving up? What is the true secret to long-term success if it isn't just about speed? How can gratitude help manage the anxiety of needing to achieve more? From Amy:Timing for creative work is interesting. Sometimes you start a project that, for whatever reason, doesn't want to come together right then. Later the perfect timing arises, and you understand that this project was preparing itself to meet the moment.I recorded this conversation with Sigrid K. Nielsen two years ago; then my podcast went on a forced hiatus. (As in, my editor quit to be a musician, causing me to rework my production process.) Which meant that this and other conversations never got produced, but I kept them in reserve. Now it's Pride Month 2025; now is the moment. What I said then is equally true today: Sigrid K Nielsen lights up a room. I have spent time with her on many occasions, live and on Zoom calls, 1:1 and in groups, and she's never been anything but her most authentic, fully expressed, and yes, BLISSFUL, free self. That's a choice on her part. When you read Sigrid‘s book (forthcoming) you'll see what I mean: Sigrid is incredibly vibrant. But you don't have to wait for the book to meet her. You can listen today.Be forewarned, Sigrid will force you to rethink things you thought you were certain of. Because she sure has rethought things. Courageously so.Back to the timing: As I release this episode, it's Monday, June 23. I wanted to release it on Friday, but that just didn't want to happen, even though it was ready. All the things were conspiring to delay publication. Then on Saturday evening, we learned that bombs were illegally dropped on Iran without notice and without any justification except to make an old man feel good about himself. As with so much right now, there is so much distraction. And I'm going to say this part out loud: Othering trans people, making them scapegoats for all the harms in the world, is keeping US ALL from being who WE ALL truly are, seeing what's right there for us to see. WE ALL have it in us to be compassionate, kind, loving people, when we're not running scared from each other. But that requires awareness. We can make another choice. This othering is not a new tactic. It was there in the 30's in Germany, when trans people were targeted (we forget that part because their libraries, their history, their rich artistic culture was obliterated), and it was there in the 80's when Sigrid and I were coming of age, and only rockstars could dress as they wanted. Because it was a "costume."Performance, you see. Heaven forbid YOU be queer. Or other. Sigrid's former self knew that assignment. But that required hiding in plain sight. Even from yourself. And once you're aware of what's really there, you can't not see it. Pretending not to see is exhausting. You want to stop making believe.Isn't that true for us all?Sigrid is a trans woman who transitioned at nearly 50 years old. AND. This is who she's always been.As much as I have always recognized Sigrid's voice as powerful, her writing sublime, her presence uplifting and joyous, there has never been a moment when her message was more essential. We have solutions to find for our one small, beautiful planet's great problems. Queer people are not one of those problems. They deserve all the love. They are leading the way, ahead of their time. It's going to require all of us to face our deepest fears and embrace our most profound gifts. Our humanity. And to be abundantly clear, this doesn't mean YOU have to be TRANS. Unless you are.We need YOU to be YOU. That's our agenda.Because, as Sigrid often reminds me, though our stories may look vastly different on the surface— hers is from the perspective of a trans woman who came out at midlife, and mine is a different kind of midlife revival—our real-life stories are universal. We are all human and we are all in this together. Thanks Sigrid!Love, AmySigrid K. I once believed that the worst thing that could happen to this country was to have a Conservative Supreme Court. That was supposed to be the end of everything. I would scream those words into the abyss all through 2016 to anyone who didn't want to vote for Hillary Clinton, “THE SUPREME COURT.”I grew up on the Left, after all, and nothing scared us more than Christianity in our schools, in our corporations, institutions, and in our courts. If Trump won, he would appoint Conservative Christians to the highest court in the land, and that would be the end of Roe v. Wade, the end of the feminist movement, and women's rights.Well, it turns out, we didn't need Conservative Christians to do that. The Left did it all on their own, leaving just one right in place, the right to terminate a pregnancy, or, if you prefer, kill our babies. We use soft language like “choice” and “terminate” as though that changes the reality. Now that the Left has been assured that the pace of abortion did not slow down and women can use abortion like reproductive bulimia - have fun now, deal with the problem later - they've moved on to more pressing matters.I don't think abortion should be illegal. But you know what should be? “Gender-affirming care” for minors. That is the most grotesque example of soft language ever invented by my former side. Call it what it is - sterilization. Top surgery is a double mastectomy. Bottom surgery is castration. In all the ways I feared religion and Christianity infiltrating our schools and institutions has now been left in the dust by a dangerous, fanatical, unstoppable cult that has left too many young men and women destroyed and mutilated in its wake. What a fool I was. Now, I am so grateful for Conservative Christians. I'm so grateful to Donald Trump, who put them on the court. I am glad we lost, even if I didn't know that in 2016. Now I do. Now I can see.Because Hillary Clinton lost, we did not get control of the court. And thank God for that. Because if we had, there is no way the bill from Tennessee to ban “gender affirming care” would have been upheld.Like everyone else on my former side, I was convinced Trump's win in 2016 would end everything we held dear, especially the Supreme Court. We'd been fighting with the Right for years to get control of it. We watched Merrick Garland's appointment obstructed, and we fumed. After Trump won, we became an unhinged, hysterical, angry mob of women who felt it was our right to convict Justice Kavanaugh of rape in the court of public opinion. And to demonize and depict Amy Coney Barrett as the Handmaid. But what I know now that I did not know back in 2016 was that when a society excuses and allows for the young to be sterilized, that's when the bottom drops out, whether it's Eugenics or “gender affirming care.” I didn't see the problem. I was comfortable with the soft language of the Left. We were the good people standing up for marginalized groups. It took me years to realize just how insane the Left had become. But it's one thing if it's just about cancel culture, destroying Hollywood, comedy, art, and book publishing. It's a whole other thing if we're allowing irreversible harm to be done to the minds and bodies of children. But thankfully, God invented Conservatives and they rose to do what we could not, just as they did back before the Civil War to end slavery and for the same reason — they believed it was morally wrong. Now, they are back to stop the Democrats from doing something morally wrong. It's the Christian Right yet again that is on the right side of history.I'm not a religious person, though I wish I could be. I imagine there is relief in that connection to something more powerful than yourself, and maybe that is what so many of these young people need, not “gender-affirming care.” This de-transitioner realized she was made in God's image, which helped her find her way out.I always believed religion was dangerous and destructive. But whatever I thought about religion, and whatever the Left thinks about it now, it can't touch what madness has been manifested by the Left. Look at what they've done.Christianity, we all believed, was the source of bigotry against gays and lesbians. We wanted no part of that. I still don't. But today, I am grateful that they have been fighting this fight because I do not think we could have done it without them.Matt Walsh has been relentless. He's not only reported on the horrors of “gender-affirming care” on his show but also appeared in town halls and government, and helped push the fight in Tennessee to ban the practice. He deserves much credit today. It's ironic, isn't it, that it has been left up to many Conservative Christians to state biological reality. Growing up, I was on that side, and they weren't. Now, the Left has pulled so far into madness that the Conservative Christians are the more pragmatic side. They lock arms with independent thinkers who function as the sane middle, like Colin Wright, Andrew Doyle, Gays Against Groomers, Christina Buttons, and Peter Boghossian:The forces that oppose them are powerful, as this statement by the American Psychological Association shows. But the resistance forces are stronger. The Democrats are collectively too stupid to understand that this is not the hill to die on.The Climate of Fear This is a public episode.
