The Nine Inch Nails Experience: Curtain Work, Concert Chaos & $50 Million Friendship Tests

The Rizzuto Show

Lern just got back from seeing Nine Inch Nails and apparently the lighting design deserves its own Grammy. We're talking gauze curtains, delayed shadows, industrial rave vibes, and Trent Reznor absolutely refusing to high-five Tim like a majestic goth gazelle sprinting through the crowd. It's concert chaos in the best possible way — from the DJ opener bleeding seamlessly into the show, to the setlist swaps that made the St. Louis crowd feel personally chosen. We break down the Peel It Back tour experience, including the “Frail into Reptile” moment that sent fans spiraling (in a good way), the zippers-per-capita record inside Enterprise Center, and the emotional high of being in the same airspace as your music heroes. Remember when just being in the same room as your favorite artist felt life-changing? Yeah, we went there. Hard. But because this is a comedy podcast and we cannot stay focused for more than 12 consecutive minutes, the conversation pivots into something much more responsible: inflation rage. Concert tickets, movie theaters, $15 waters, delivery apps, streaming services we barely use but refuse to cancel, and the emotional damage of a $12 Lion's Choice meal. Are we becoming our parents? Possibly. Are we mad about it? Absolutely. Then we spiral (again) into hypothetical chaos:$10 million but you lose 10 years of life?$50 million but you lose all your friends?$1 million but you're stuck in St. Louis forever?$500,000 but you can't complain for five years (so… impossible)? The answers are revealing. And slightly concerning. We also dive into the so-called “singles tax,” the surprising numbers behind OnlyFans income (sorry Scott), and the underdog effect — why being told you'll fail might actually be rocket fuel. It's part concert recap, part financial therapy session, part existential crisis — aka your favorite comedy podcast doing what it does best.Industrial rock. Inflation anger. Hypothetical moral collapse. Curtain work.Just another totally normal day.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This episode of Life by a Thousand Cuts explores a common but challenging scenario in skin cancer practice: managing a large, bleeding facial lesion in an elderly patient where comfort and control matter more than long-term cure. A/Prof Tony Dicker uses a real case to walk through clinical reasoning around diagnosis, margins and treatment options, before focusing on practical closure planning for a sizeable cheek defect. The discussion highlights how patient context, tumour behaviour and functional risk all shape surgical decisions, and why there is rarely a single “right” answer. A useful listen for clinicians looking to sharpen their approach to complex closures, particularly when balancing technical execution with realistic, patient-centred outcomes. Note: This episode includes discussion of multiple clinical images. A video version is available for those who wish to view them.   Next steps in your learning journey

As part of our Hidden Killers 2025 Year in Review series, we're revisiting two defining moments in the unraveling of the Adelson family empire — moments that exposed not only the legal chaos behind the Dan Markel murder case, but the chilling psychology that fueled it. In this special combined episode, Tony Brueski dissects Donna Adelson's courtroom performance of a lifetime — a bond hearing turned one-woman show where the alleged murder-for-hire mastermind painted herself as the real victim. Frail, misunderstood, and oh-so-tragically sleepless behind bars, Donna leaned hard into self-pity, deflection, and emotional theater. But beneath the trembling voice and the laundry list of ailments was something far more dangerous: covert narcissism in action. We break down the key moments from her testimony — from her evasive answers to her complete absence of remorse — and unpack how her manipulative tactics mirror the textbook behaviors of covert narcissists. Victim-playing. Reality-twisting. Emotional control disguised as vulnerability. It's not just courtroom drama — it's psychological warfare. Then, we turn to the legal front lines, where Donna's defense team fought to block over 560 pages of divorce records between her daughter Wendi Adelson and slain law professor Dan Markel. The argument? That the bitter custody battle fueling years of tension was “irrelevant.” Prosecutors, however, say it's the very foundation of motive — the powder keg that led to murder. While Donna's attorneys tried to keep the narrative tidy, the state saw through it — reminding the court that this “frail grandmother” once tried to board a one-way international flight. And as motions pile up and family ties fracture, it's becoming clear: this isn't just about one murder. It's about a legacy of manipulation, control, and denial finally colliding with accountability. From psychological breakdowns to legal takedowns, this Year in Review episode captures the full scope of the Adelson implosion — a story where justice, narcissism, and family loyalty all share the same DNA.

Visibly Frail Trump Cries About Having To Work So Much

The visibly frail and cognitively impaired President of the United States got on Truth Social to whine about the fact that he had to "work really hard" during his trip to Asia last week. Trump whined that Chuck Schumer called the trip a failure, which it was, and Trump then accused Schumer of treason over those remarks. The whole thing shows what a crybaby Trump really is, as Farron explains. In a little-noticed talk with reporters last week, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. admitted that he DOES NOT have "sufficient evidence" to back up his claim from September that Tylenol is linked to increased rates of autism. This is a massive departure from the grand press briefing he held with Donald Trump where Trump repeatedly yelled "DON'T TAKE TYLENOL." And the new claim from Kennedy came just one day after the Texas Attorney General announced they were suing the makers of Tylenol based on Kennedy's initial claims. FBI Director Kash Patel was busted recently by a right wing critic of his for using the FBI's private jet to travel out of state to go watch his VERY young girlfriend perform at a country music festival. The worst part, aside from the disturbing age difference between Patel and his girlfriend, is that this isn't even the first time this year that he's used the agency's $60 million plane for a date night - it's not even the second time he's done it this year! A mass purge of people who could tell Donald Trump "no" is underway throughout the federal government in ways that most people don't even realize. From leadership at Homeland Security, to the Department of Defense, to the Department of Justice, and even the Commission of Fine Arts, Trump is getting rid of anyone who might stand in the way of his grand plans. This is exceptionally dangerous for the country, and things are only going to get worse as he replaces people who had consciences with spineless yes men. Text and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media! The Legacy of Woodrow Wilson and the Split over the League of Nations David Pietrusza 1920: The Year of the Six Presidents The 1920 election followed President Woodrow Wilson's debilitating stroke in October 1919, which left him perpetually frail. The core issue became the League of Nations, which Wilson championed but the Republican Party bitterly contested, ultimately causing public skepticism. Wilson held fierce opposition to former President Theodore Roosevelt, who died in January 1919. Roosevelt had detested Wilson's neutrality regarding German aggression. Despite his frail health, Roosevelt would have been the unstoppable Republican candidate had he lived. Wilson reacted to news of Roosevelt's death with shockingly hateful language, revealing the depth of his personal animosity toward his predecessor. 1929 Hoover Inaugural
