Episode 113: Henry Woodman & His Father's Book, The Reincarnation of Marie: A Love Reborn in Paris from the Pages of History ABOUT HENRY Henry Woodman is a Florida native and a graduate of the University of Arizona for his bachelors and Nova Southeaster for his MBA. He is trilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and French, and is a natural entrepreneur. In 1984, Woodman and his partner formed WoodMark Productions to pursue two of his passions -- film production and travel. He and the film crew would travel the world producing travel films for leading travel destinations worldwide on behalf of major travel companies including American Airlines, American Express, Eastern Airlines, government tourism boards, and leading international cruise lines. After a decade of travels, he settled in Santiago, Chile for two years to produce Machos, a local game show for the younger demographic. In 1997 he founded World Travelvision (WTV), a content provider for Internet Travel and Tourism. WTV pioneered the production and distribution of Digital Brochures and Virtual Reality 360°Panormaic Photography. In 2004, Woodman pivoted WTV to a technology company and formed IcePortal (ICE). ICE was founded to solve a problem in the newly formed online hospitality distribution industry - management and distribution of visuals to online distribution channels. ICE helps hotels and resorts, manage, and deliver their visuals to 1000s of online travel related websites. In 2019 Woodman exited the company. Woodman's commitment found its roots in television and film production and earned him four local area Emmy nominations. Finally, in 1988, Woodman acquired the rights to a book which he just published and plans to develop into a series for streaming TV. CONVERSATION HIGHLIGHTS Doing stuff that you want to do, that you're interested in, that makes you happy. "Me, me, me." What is passion- and purpose-consuming to you? Career - Just a bunch of dots connecting along the way. Entrepreneurship vs. Filmmaking -- Both pre-production, a production, and post-production. "How bad can I fuck that up?" "Grit and Discipline...I don't really see the failure thing." On success -- "...you have a better chance with what talent you have to prepare and be lucky and hope for opportunity." How one's idea of leadership can change over time. "Love is a precious thing." The MAIN QUESTION underlying my conversation with Henry is, How much do you share of who you TRULY are, especially considering what little time we have in THIS life? Can you provide more information about your work? 09:14 - How did your path into your career look like, and what did it look like up until now? 19:06 - How does the work you're doing today reconcile to who you were as a child? 20:44 - What do you consider your super power? 22:28 - Where Henry's Grit & Discipline come from. 25:21 - What does leadership mean to you? 27:16 - Can you introduce us to the book we're discussing? 32:02 - Henry's reaction to finding out his father wrote this book. 37:03 - What lessons have you taken/others take away from the book? 43:44 - What book has inspired you? 45:43 - What are you up to these days? Specific, nuanced, hot, confident, fiery, and titillating…you could say that about Aubrey Plaza and Theo James, but you could also say that about Nick and Jess. After the highly-anticipated WTV review of Don't Worry Darling and the first two episodes of White Lotus season 2, Jess lays out her plans to get to the Eras Tour (and to get Nick into the meet and greet room), and Nick discovers HBO merch. In this courtroom, to be brave is to swing a baseball bat, share your fashion online, and use the term “Omega Sapphire” on your TV show (welcome back, Manifest…). EP 130 Christophe Vandenbussche Over Zijn Reis Als Ondernemer, De Rol Van Televisie, De Impact Van Een Coach Op Zijn Mindset | What's On Your Mind? What's On Your Mind ? is een 1 uur conversatie.
