Welcome to Zach Scott, the Dental A-Team's newest employee! Zach is part of the sales and customer success team, and shares his mindset about leadership and growing others with Kiera. You'll learn all about Zach and his background, how he manages his expectations of others, and how to not resent other people. We're so excited to have Zach on board and know you'll love meeting him! About Zach: I have been working in sales and sales management for over 9 years and I am extremely excited to be part of the Dental A-Team family! I grew up on a cattle ranch in Arkansas where I was taught that problem solvers rule the world and with enough creativity, ingenuity and maybe a little bit of duct tape, you can solve about anything. I have recently moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. The move has been great and I can't wait to see what hiking activities are around as well as look into travel opportunities through the McCarran airport. Anyway, the great news about this is you can learn a little about me while I get to help clients, like you, solve critical problems for your business every day. Episode #5: Zach Scott, Product Design Engineer at Apple. Since he was in college, Zach Scott always dreamed of working for Apple - but it took a winding path over many years to finally end up there. As a mechanical engineer, Zach interned for SpaceX as a student, before joining a small startup after school, where he experienced the rapid, “wear-many-hats” environment of an early stage company. He used that experience to springboard into a role at Formlabs designing 3D printers, which ultimately led to his current job designing iPhones at Apple, after having been rejected from the company twice previously. Zach's healthy attitude towards putting himself out there and quickly moving on from rejection has been a strength for his ability to learn, grow, and find new opportunities. This conversation is brought to you by The Garage at Northwestern University. Show Notes

Host Steve Zakuani recaps Saturday's match against Real Salt Lake and previews this weekend's visit to Rio Tinto Stadium as Seattle native and former Sounders defender DeAndre Yedlin stops by to talk Newcastle, the United States national team and his puppy Simba.
Host Steve Zakuani talks to former Sounders defender and current assistant coach Djimi Traore to discuss the root of the Sounders’ recent struggles, winning the UEFA Champions League in Istanbul in 2005 and how Liverpool can defeat Real Madrid this Saturday.
Steve Zakuani recaps the Sounders’ 2-1 win in Toronto, breaking down Head Coach Brian Schmetzer’s tactics and why the counterattack worked at BMO Field. Former Sounder Zach Scott stops by to preview the Sounders’ match against Portland and talk about the history of the Portland-Seattle rivalry.
Four points from two matches in Texas leaves us with plenty to celebrate as we speak with Michael McColl of AFTN and Prost Portland editor Matt Hoffman about their cliubs' successes down south. Whitecaps' 4-0 result in Frisco draws considerable attention and we rate it among their most memorable matches in MLS so far. Our preview of their match in Colorado focuses on the question of consistency, as another performance like the one against Dallas will surely earn points against the struggling Rapids. 2-2 was nothing to scoff at for Portland, but between an odd offside decision and a questionable call on a free kick leading to Houston's equalizer it's no wonder fans were left feeling it was two points dropped. Hoffman deliberates on all of the contentious moments before we move on and discuss Timbers' home match with LA this weekend. Sounders had their own match against LA a weekend ago, and we elaborate on why it was a match no one could afford to lose. Attention then shifts to an inaugural meeting with Minnesota United, a tie near and dear to Andrew's heart. Undefeated weeks are happy weeks on Radio Cascadia, enjoy this one with us! Andrew, Ari and Steven all feautured in Prost Publishing's latest book, Resgurgence: How Sounders FC Roared Back to Win MLS Cup. The book chronicles Seattle's title-winning season, and also includes contributions from former Seattle mayor Greg Nickels, Rapids play by play commentator and BBC veteran Richard Fleming, ESPNFC.com and Prost Amerika writer Matt Pentz, legendary Seattle journalist Art Thiel, and a foreword written by Mr. Sounder himself, Zach Scott. Special pre-sale price available through August 25th here.
The legendary Steve Manning, filling in for Ron Henry, sits down with MLS Seattle Sounders centerback Zach Scott and BlackRapid Ambassador Jim Bennett. Zach discusses growing up in Hawaii, how he started playing soccer and his successful 2014 season. Jim talks about his interesting family roots, music photography and his approach to capturing images on the sidelines. Most importantly though, our guest host reminisces about dressing up in an eagle suit and crashing the party.
It's the best Thanksgiving weekend an MLS fan could ever want: a Conference Championship second leg on Saturday and another on Sunday to cap off the long holiday weekend. We get you set for both of them starting with the Seattle Sounders vs. LA Galaxy saga in the West which comes to a close on Sunday night. According to Mr. Sounder, Zach Scott, it's the biggest match in club history. And while the Western series still rests on a knife's edge, the Eastern Conference Championship is decidedly tilted toward the New England Revolution, who are at home with two away goals to defend vs. New York Red Bulls. Revs right back Andrew Farrell feels like this is his team's big chance to finally get their due on the national stage. Also, what Landon Donovan will we witness in what may be his last game ever? Who should the Red Bulls start in place of Bradley Wright-Phillips: Saer Sene or Tim Cahill? And is Austin the new Columbus? Lastly, if you listen to ExtraTime Radio in your car, one listener shares a cautionary tale in the mailbag.
After a rough road trip that started wonderfully and ended rather horribly, the Seattle Sounders returned home and defeated Chivas USA. Nos Audietis returns to talk about the match, discuss Zach Scott's injury and the impact it has on the defense, and more. There's also Chivas USA news to discuss as the club is reportedly close to getting new owners and going on hiatus for a couple years for rebranding and, well, basically to become an entirely new club. Plus there's listener questions to be answered.
