Join me each week as I sit half lotus in my bedroom and share what I'm learning on my journey of spiritual awakening, meditation, & self-love. I speak freely about my own journey as it unfolds, answer listener questions, & discuss topics including (but not limited to) meditation, spiritual awakening, self-love, love/relationships, living in the present, living true to your heart, trusting the universe, authentic creativity, & more. I also share regular reading updates from my avid studies of spirituality. I look forward to sharing presence & seeking the truth with you!
Hi guys,Here's another podcast episode for you! I didn't think I was gonna record one today, but the expression just came pouring out after hosting my mid-day meditation class. I talk about a bunch of things, mainly circling around a fascinating topic— finding the balance between the extremes of spiritual discipline (which can lead to a closed heart & samsaric attachment to spiritual rigidity) VS over-indulgence in addictions. Fascinating and nuanced topic! I hope you gain something from this.Check out the offeringsSincerely,George Poulos This is a public episode. Dear Listener,In this episode of the podcast, I push my comfort zone by recording in a public park in a new city I've never been to. Despite having a soft voice, I press publish anyway. I also talk about not letting travel throw me off my center by staying on top of my foundational practices, such as meditation, food habits, and creative expression, and how home is somewhere you can bring with you wherever you go.Hope you enjoy my shy rambles
Dear Reader,What an interesting development! I started writing this morning's letter, but it started to feel forced; I felt called to record it as a video, and cross publish it to the very 300k channel I've been having the dilemma about! Below is the letter I had started writing in case you're curious; then I'll invite you to watch (or listen) if you want to continue the thread. Cheers.Good morning. It's 7:00AM.I woke up with that buzzing creative energy again, which manifested as gross agitation during my morning meditation—which lasted 16 minutes. I'm hoping to build up my practice up to 45 minutes again if I can, which is the daily sit time recommended in The Mind Illuminated.I'm brewing a cup of decaf coffee now. This is funny but literally at 6:59AM I cancelled the letter I wrote yesterday that was scheduled to go out at 7:00AM today. I've been in a flow of scheduling letters to go out the morning after I write them, which has been bothering me for a few reasons. The main reason being it gives me 24 hours to overthink what I wrote, which has led to me going back and editing letters that didn't need to be edited. So I decided in this very moment, let me end this cycle now by cancelling that last letter, and I'll send this one out immediately once I finish writing it.So here we are.Ah, what to say in this one…At this point, I switched to recording a video. If you'd like to hear the current updates, go ahead and give it a listen.Enjoy, and as always, your participation is welcome here. You can respond via email or leave a comment.
Hi guys,You probably already know this, but in addition to publishing a daily letter on Substack—and posting all sorts of other content all over the place too—I also record a weekly video podcast.Today I got into a bit of on overthinking spiral about whether to keep doing both the letters and the podcast, since there tends to be a lot of overlap between them.At some point today, I also changed podcast hosting platforms—from Spotify to Substack—as part of my Walden Year energy of simplifying & consolidating platforms. It just sorta happened. After the podcast fully switched over to Substack (which still distributes to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, & even YouTube, by the way) I suddenly became a bit worried that I was making my Substack too cluttered and that I'd annoy people with two emails coming through on Fridays. However… I did post this one time on Instagram…So… erm…I guess here goes!Something I could do if enough people reply to this email and tell me “I'm annoyed” is I could uncheck the “email” button when I post podcast episodes to Substack, that way they will just show up on the podcast platforms like normal without any emails coming through. But also…As Arthur Russel once said…It's my worldIt's my songDidn't ask you to come along! So you can always just unfollow me if you're annoyed. No but seriously I love you guys dearly.Dearly.Talk soon, and have a beautiful weekend.Love,Georgie P This is a public episode. Reflection on the turn to spring, immense changes, following intuition, the power of saying "no" to what is no longer true (creates essential space for what is true to emerge), the power of living in alignment & synchronicities that follow, asking for help, notes on finding creative flow without masks, how the journey home is like an upwards spiral, & more.
1:1 guidance, newsletter, & free community:https://bio.site/georgepoulosIn this episode i reflect on the vast letting go that is continuing to take place in my life, and how what is on the other side is yet to be determined. this is both unsettling and beautiful; it is freedom. i reflect how this mirrors an experience i had the first time i did mushrooms, where I let go of several objects that i was holding and let them fall haphazardly on the ground, with no concern for their location. i also talk about the continual pull to solitude and silence i am experiencing.
In this episode I share how attachment to an old version of self is similar to various addictions—they both involve a false retreat into perceived safety. The spiral towards remembering becomes stronger when we cultivate the superpower of learning to be with silence for more and more of our days.Let's grow together: https://bio.site/georgepoulos

Step Into Creative Freedom → https://bio.site/georgepoulosThere's an undeniable pattern I've noticed in the people I admire most:They've become immovable. They are deeply rooted in the ground.Like a pillar.Like a planet. They hold their frequency and truth so firmly—They show up so consistently in service of what they believe—For such a long period of time, without giving up (I'm talking lifetime commitment)—That they become a rooted presence. They are there for their people.Whether people show up or not, they believe so deeply in what they're doingthat they stay.If people enter their orbit and then fly away—still, they remain. They don't sway. They don't chase. They are grounded. They know what they're here to do.They have Buddha-like patience. They would wait lifetimes. They stay. They serve. This clicked deeply for me after giving up on my purpose last year for about 9 months.I had been showing up—consistently, authentically, boldly.I shared what I had learned.I hosted classes.I began to amass gravity.People entered my orbit. But then… I stopped.I lost sight of my mission.I gave into my demons. And I stopped being there.I don't judge myself for that.My roots were still growing.I was learning what it really means to stay. The lesson?Be a pillar for your people.Be a planet for your people.Stay—for the long term.Stay forever.Cultivate the kind of patience that spans lifetimes. This year, I'm learning what it means to stay.To serve through the seasons. Here's some structure I'm using to stay rooted and accountable:Daily content posting → I show up no matter how I feelA weekly group call → I show up no matter how I feelA weekly meditation → I show up no matter how I feelMentorship → I keep the doors wide open to receive clientsClients → I show up no matter how I feelThese structures hold me accountable—Not just externally, but energetically. They anchor me into:– The practices & routines I need to hold my frequency– So that I can show up & serveThis isn't about building a brand. It's about becoming a home.In devotion to your freedom,George PoulosLearn about my offerings: https://bio.site/georgepoulos
Your business arises from your rootedness. George Poulos. Mar 26, 2025.A true business—a soul business—emerges naturally from within. Not from force. Not from performance. But from presence. You can grit and grind your way into success… But you'll have to keep gritting and grinding to sustain it.That's what I did when I built my YouTube channel to over 300k subscribers. It was all hustle, sleepless nights, and a persona that wasn't fully me. Looking back on those videos, I can see the tension I was holding in my face & body.I followed the blueprint provided by the world: perform → produce → succeed → be happy. But it didn't bring happiness. It brought burnout. And when I couldn't hold the mask anymore—everything collapsed. That collapse sent me inward.I began meditating, unraveling my beliefs, and over time, living + expressing from my truth. And slowly, a new kind of business began to arise—One rooted in truth, aligned with service, and sustained by love. One where I didn't have to perform, use an “influencer voice”, or hold any tension in my body. One where I could simply be myself—and serve deeply. But last year, my practices slipped. And the business I had grown began to slip away, too.Because I lost my center. I lost my ability to energetically hold what had emerged. So what I know now—without a doubt—is this:Your inner work is your foundation.Your spiritual practice is your strategy.Your business will grow at the depth of your groundedness.Return to your root. The rest will rise.Trust yourself. In devotion to your freedom,George Poulos~My Foundational Practices for Creative Freedom (the ones I personally use to stay rooted) are available now on my webstore: http://georgepoulos.com/storeI host weekly Freedom Calls inside my free community—Wednesdays at 12pm EST: https://www.skool.com/creative-freedom-6132 Mentorship is available for those ready to go deep—internally (inner work) and externally (creator/soul-biz support). In this episode I chat about how meditation teacher training is opening my heart, how my personal practice is keeping it open, plus updates from my experiment with pushing through fear on social media.
In this episode, I talk about the importance of showing up consistently, ideally until showing up becomes a perpetual state (I use "showing up" in a widely encompassing way, refering to showing up for your meditation practice, creative practice, "showing up" as your authentic self in your day-to-day, etc). I share an update about how my personal meditation practice is going, as well as an update from my journey of facing my fears and expressing myself authentically on social media. Finally, I answer a question and share my current perspective on the importance of "forcing" growth by stepping into discomfort.
In this episode of the George Poulos Podcast, I talk about the temptation to stop showing up, to go back into the cocoon of safety, to stop pushing the boundary of what is possible, to stop practicing meditation. I share the Buddhist death meditations and resolutions that we learned during my previous weekend at Meditation Teacher Training at Three Jewels in NYC, and how these encourage you to keep pushing towards meditation practice & expansion beyond the limitations of ego.
